God’s Gracious Dealings

1“AllH3605 the commandmentsH4687 that I am commandingH6680 you todayH3117 you shall be carefulH8104 to doH6213, that you 1may liveH2421 and multiplyH7235, and goH935 in and possessH3423 the landH776 whichH834 the LordH3068 sworeH7650 to give to your forefathersH1. 22You shall rememberH2142 allH3605 the wayH1870 whichH834 the LordH3068 your GodH430 has 3ledH1980 you in the wildernessH4057 theseH2088 fortyH705 yearsH8141, that He might humbleH6031 you, 4testingH5254 you, to knowH3045 whatH834 was in your heartH3824, whether you would keepH8104 His commandmentsH4687 orH518 not. 3He humbledH6031 you and let you be hungryH7456, and fedH398 you with mannaH4478 whichH834 you did not knowH3045, norH3808 did your fathersH1 knowH3045, that He might make you 5understandH3045 that 6manH120 does not liveH2421 by breadH3899 aloneH905, but manH120 livesH2421 by everythingH3605 that proceedsH4161 out of the mouthH6310 of the LordH3068. 47Your clothingH8071 did not wearH1086 out on you, norH3808 did your footH7272 swellH1216 theseH2088 fortyH705 yearsH8141. 58Thus you are to knowH3045 in your heartH3824 that the LordH3068 your GodH430 was discipliningH3256 you justH3512 as a manH376 disciplinesH3256 his sonH1121. 6Therefore, you shall keepH8104 the commandmentsH4687 of the LordH3068 your GodH430, to walkH1980 in His waysH1870 and to 9fearH3372 Him. 7For 10the LordH3068 your GodH430 is bringingH935 you into a goodH2896 landH776, a landH776 of brooksH5158 of waterH4325, of fountainsH5871 and springsH8415, flowingH3318 forthH3318 in valleysH1237 and hillsH2022; 8a landH776 of wheatH2406 and barleyH8184, of vinesH1612 and figH8384 treesH8384 and pomegranatesH7416, a landH776 of oliveH2132 oilH8081 and honeyH1706; 9a landH776 whereH834 you will eatH398 foodH3899 withoutH3808 scarcityH4544, in which you will not lackH2637 anythingH3605; a landH776 whoseH834 stonesH68 are ironH1270, and out of whose hillsH2022 you can digH2672 copperH5178. 10When 11you have eatenH398 and are satisfiedH7646, you shall blessH1288 the LordH3068 your GodH430 for the goodH2896 landH776 whichH834 He has givenH5414 you.

11“12BewareH8104 that you do not 13forgetH7911 the LordH3068 your GodH430 by not keepingH8104 His commandmentsH4687 and His ordinancesH4941 and His statutesH2708 whichH834 I am commandingH6680 you todayH3117; 12otherwiseH6435, 14when you have eatenH398 and are satisfiedH7646, and have builtH1129 goodH2896 housesH1004 and livedH3427 in them, 13and when your herdsH1241 and your flocksH6629 multiplyH7235, and your silverH3701 and goldH2091 multiplyH7235, and allH3605 that you have multipliesH7235, 14then your heartH3824 will becomeH7311 15proudH7311 and you will 16forgetH7911 the LordH3068 your GodH430 who broughtH3318 you out from the landH776 of EgyptH4714, out of the houseH1004 of 17slaveryH5650. 15He ledH1980 you through 18the greatH1419 and terribleH3372 wildernessH4057, with its 19fieryH8314 serpentsH8314 and scorpionsH6137 and thirstyH6774 groundH6774 whereH834 thereH369 was noH369 waterH4325; He 20broughtH3318 waterH4325 for you out of the rockH6697 of flintH2496. 16In the wildernessH4057 He fedH398 you mannaH4478 21whichH834 your fathersH1 did not knowH3045, that He might humbleH6031 you and that He might 22testH5254 you, to doH3190 goodH3190 for you 23in the endH319. 17Otherwise, 24you may sayH559 in your heartH3824, ‘My powerH3581 and the strengthH6108 of my handH3027 madeH6213 me thisH2088 wealthH2428.’ 18But you shall rememberH2142 the LordH3068 your GodH430, for 25it is He who is givingH5414 you powerH3581 to makeH6213 wealthH2428, that He may confirmH6965 His covenantH1285 whichH834 He sworeH7650 to your fathersH1, as it is thisH2088 dayH3117. 19It shall comeH1961 about ifH518 you everH7911 forgetH7911 the LordH3068 your GodH430 and goH1980 afterH310 otherH312 godsH430 and serveH5647 them and worshipH7812 them, 26I testifyH5749 against you todayH3117 that you will surelyH6 perishH6. 20Like the nationsH1471 that the LordH3068 makesH6 to perishH6 beforeH4480H6440 you, soH3651 27you shall perishH6; becauseH6118 you would not listenH8085 to the voiceH6963 of the LordH3068 your GodH430.
