16“BeholdἰδοὺidouG2400,I sendἀποστέλλωapostellōG649you out as sheepπρόβαταprobataG4263in the midstμέσῳmesōG3319of wolvesλύκων·lukōnG3074;soοὖνounG3767beshrewdφρόνιμοιphronimoiG5429as serpentsὄφειςopheisG3789andinnocentἀκέραιοιakeraioiG185as dovesπεριστεραί.¶peristeraiG4058.

17But bewareΠροσέχετεProsecheteG4337of menἀνθρώπων·anthrōpōnG444,for they will handπαραδώσουσινparadōsousinG3860you over to thecourtsσυνέδριαsunedriaG4892and scourgeμαστιγώσουσινmastigōsousinG3146youin their synagoguesσυναγωγαῖςsunagōgaisG4864;

18and you will evenG2532be broughtἀχθήσεσθεachthēsestheG71beforeἐπὶepiG1909governorsἡγεμόναςhēgemonasG2232and kingsβασιλεῖςbasileisG935for My sakeἕνεκενhenekenG1752,as a testimonyμαρτύριονmarturionG3142to them and to the Gentilesἔθνεσιν.ethnesinG1484.

19But whenὅτανhotanG3752they handπαραδῶσινparadōsinG3860you over,do not worryμεριμνήσητεmerimnēsēteG3309about howπῶςpōsG4459orἢēG2228whatτίtiG5101you are to sayλαλήσητε·lalēsēteG2980;for it will be givenδοθήσεταιdothēsetaiG1325you in that hourὥρᾳhōraG5610whatτίtiG5101you are to sayλαλήσητε·lalēsēteG2980.

20Forit is not you who speakλαλοῦντεςlalountesG2980, but it isthe SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151of your FatherπατρὸςpatrosG3962who speaksλαλοῦνlalounG2980in you.

21“BrotherἀδελφὸςadelphosG80will betrayΠαραδώσειParadōseiG3860brotherἀδελφὸνadelphonG80to deathθάνατονthanatonG2288,and a fatherπατὴρpatērG3962hischildτέκνον·teknonG5043; andchildrenτέκναteknaG5043will riseἐπαναστήσονταιepanastēsontaiG1881up againstἐπὶepiG1909parentsγονεῖςgoneisG1118andcauseG2289them to be putθανατώσουσινthanatōsousinG2289to deathG2289.

22You will be hatedμισούμενοιmisoumenoiG3404by allπάντωνpantōnG3956becauseδιὰdiaG1223of My nameὄνομάonomaG3686, butit is the one who has enduredὑπομείναςhupomeinasG5278to the endτέλος,telosG5056who will be savedσωθήσεται.¶sōthēsetaiG4982.

23“But wheneverὍτανHotanG3752theypersecuteδιώκωσινdiōkōsinG1377you inoneταύτῃ,tautēG3778cityπόλειpoleiG4172,fleeφεύγετεpheugeteG5343tothe nextἑτέραν·heteranG2087;for trulyἀμὴνamēnG281I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you, you will not finishτελέσητεtelesēteG5055going throughthe citiesπόλειςpoleisG4172of IsraelἸσραὴλIsraēlG2474untilἕωςhe'ōsG2193the SonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of Manἀνθρώπου.¶anthrōpouG444comesἔλθῃelthēG2064.

24“AdiscipleμαθητὴςmathētēsG3101is not aboveὑπὲρhuperG5228his teacherδιδάσκαλονdidaskalonG1320,norοὐδὲoudeG3761a slaveδοῦλοςdoulosG1401aboveὑπὲρhuperG5228his masterκύριονkurionG2962.

25It is enoughἀρκετὸνarketonG713for the discipleμαθητῇmathētēaG3101that he becomeγένηταιgenētaiG1096likeὡςhōsG5613his teacherδιδάσκαλοςdidaskalosG1320,and the slaveδοῦλοςdoulosG1401likeὡςhōsG5613his masterκύριοςkuriosG2962.IfεἰeiG1487they have calledἐπεκάλεσαν,epekalesanG1941the headG3617of the houseοἰκοδεσπότηνoikodespotēnG3617BeelzebulΒεελζεβοὺλBeelzeboulG954,howπόσῳposōG4214muchG4214moreμᾶλλονmallonG3123will they malignthe members of his householdοἰκιακοὺςoikiakousG3615!
