Judges 8:1-9
And the menH376 of EphraimH669 saidH559 to him, What is this thingH1697 thou hast done to us, that thou calledst us not, when thou wentest to fightH3898 with MidianH4080? And they disputed with him sharply.
And he saidH559 to them, What have I done nowH6258 in comparison with you? Are not the gleaningsH5955 of EphraimH669 betterH2896 than the vintage of Abi-ezer?
Into your handsH3027 hath 1GodH430 delivered the princesH8269 of MidianH4080, OrebH6159 and ZeebH2062; and what was I ableH3201 to do in comparison with you? ThenH227 their spiritH7307 was appeased toward him, when he saidH1696 that wordH1697.
And GideonH1439 cameH935 to the JordanH3383, [and] passedH5674 over, he and the threeH7969 hundredH3967 menH376 that were with him, faint, yet pursuingH7291.
And he saidH559 to the menH376 of SuccothH5523, GiveH5414, I pray you, loaves of breadH3899 to the peopleH5971 that follow me, for they are faint; and I am pursuingH7291 after ZebahH2078 and ZalmunnaH6759, kingsH4428 of MidianH4080.
And the chiefH8269 men of SuccothH5523 saidH559, Are the handsH3027 of ZebahH2078 and ZalmunnaH6759 already in thy handH3027, that we should giveH5414 breadH3899 to thine armyH6635?
And GideonH1439 saidH559, ThereforeH3651 when Jehovah delivers ZebahH2078 and ZalmunnaH6759 into my handH3027, I will threshH1758 your fleshH1320 with thornsH6975 of the wildernessH4057 and with briars.
And he wentH5927 up thence to PenuelH6439, and spokeH1696 to them in like manner. And the menH376 of PenuelH6439 answeredH6030 him as the menH376 of SuccothH5523 had answeredH6030.
And he spoke alsoH1571 to the menH376 of PenuelH6439, sayingH559, When I come again in peaceH7965, I will breakH5422 down this towerH4026.
