Judges 2:20-23
20And the angerH639 of Jehovah was hot against IsraelH3478; and he saidH559, Because this nationH1471 hath transgressed my covenantH1285 which I commandedH6680 their fathersH1, and hath not hearkened unto my voiceH6963, 21I alsoH1571 will not henceforth dispossessH3423 from before them any of the nationsH1471 that JoshuaH3091 leftH5800 whenH834 he diedH4191; 22that through them I may prove IsraelH3478, whether they will keepH8104 the wayH1870 of Jehovah to walk therein, as their fathersH1 did keepH8104 [it], or not. 23Therefore Jehovah left those nationsH1471, without dispossessingH3423 them hastily, neither delivered he them into the handH3027 of JoshuaH3091.
