Judges 13:9-20

9And 1GodH430 hearkened to the voiceH6963 of ManoahH4495; and the AngelH4397 of 2GodH430 cameH935 againH5750 to the womanH802 whilst she satH3427 in the fieldH7704; but ManoahH4495 her husbandH376 was not with her.

10Then the womanH802 hasted and ranH7323, and informed her husbandH376, and saidH559 to him, Behold, the manH376 has appearedH7200 to me, that cameH935 to me that dayH3117.

11And ManoahH4495 roseH6965 up and wentH935 after his wifeH802, and cameH935 to the manH376, and saidH559 to him, Art thou the manH376 that didst speakH1696 to the womanH802? And he saidH559, I am.

12And ManoahH4495 saidH559, When thy wordsH1697 then comeH935 to pass, what shall beH1961 the child's mannerH1697 and his doing?

13And the AngelH4397 of Jehovah saidH559 to ManoahH4495, Of all that I saidH559 unto the womanH802 let her beware:

14she shall not eatH398 of anything that cometh of the vineH1612, neither shall she drinkH8354 wineH3196 or strongH7941 drinkH8354, nor eatH398 anything unclean: all that I commandedH6680 her shall she observeH8104.

15And ManoahH4495 saidH559 to the AngelH4397 of Jehovah, I pray thee, let us detainH6113 thee, and we will makeH6213 ready a kid of the goatsH5795 for thee.

16And the AngelH4397 of Jehovah saidH559 to ManoahH4495, Though thou shouldest detainH6113 me, I will not eatH398 of thy breadH3899; and if thou wilt offerH5927 a burnt-offering, thou shalt offerH5927 it up to Jehovah. For ManoahH4495 knewH3045 not that he was the AngelH4397 of Jehovah.

17And ManoahH4495 saidH559 to the AngelH4397 of Jehovah, What is thy nameH8034, that when thy wordH1697 cometh to pass we may do thee honour?

18And the AngelH4397 of Jehovah saidH559 to him, HowH4100 is it that thou askest after my nameH8034, seeing it is wonderful?

19Then ManoahH4495 tookH3947 the kid and the oblation, and offeredH5927 it up to Jehovah upon the rockH6697. And he did wondrously, and ManoahH4495 and his wifeH802 lookedH7200 on.

20And it came to pass, as the flameH3851 wentH5927 up from off the altarH4196 towards the heavensH8064, that the AngelH4397 of Jehovah ascended in the flameH3851 of the altarH4196; and ManoahH4495 and his wifeH802 lookedH7200 on, and fellH5307 on their facesH6440 to the groundH776.
