Hosea 8:5-14

5Thy calfH5695, O SamariaH8111, hath cast [thee] off; mine angerH639 is kindled against them: how long will they be incapable of purity? 6For from IsraelH3478 is this also: — a workman madeH6213 it, and it is no 1GodH430: for the calfH5695 of SamariaH8111 shall beH1961 [broken in] pieces. 7For they have sownH2232 the windH7307, and they shall reapH7114 the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; should it sprout, it would yield no meal; if so be it yield, strangersH2114 shall swallowH1104 it up. 8IsraelH3478 is swallowedH1104 up: nowH6258 are they becomeH1961 among the nationsH1471 as a vesselH3627 wherein is no pleasureH2656. 9For they are goneH5927 up [to] AssyriaH804 [as] a wildH6501 ass alone by himself: EphraimH669 hath hired lovers. 10Although they hire among the nationsH1471, nowH6258 will I gatherH6908 them, and they shall beginH2490 to be straitened under the burdenH4853 of the kingH4428 of princesH8269. 11Because EphraimH669 hath multipliedH7235 altarsH4196 to sinH2398, altarsH4196 shall beH1961 unto him to sinH2398. 12I have prescribed unto him the manifold things of my lawH8451: they are counted [as] a strangeH2114 thing. 13They sacrificeH2077 fleshH1320 [for] the sacrificesH2077 of mine offerings, and eatH398 it; Jehovah hath no delightH7521 in them. NowH6258 will he rememberH2142 their iniquityH5771, and visitH6485 their sinsH2403: they shall returnH7725 to EgyptH4714. 14For IsraelH3478 hath forgottenH7911 his Maker, and buildeth templesH1964; and JudahH3063 hath multipliedH7235 fenced citiesH5892: but I will sendH7971 a fireH784 upon his citiesH5892, and it shall devourH398 the palaces thereof.
