Hosea 5
Darby Bible
1HearH8085 this, ye priestsH3548; and hearken, ye houseH1004 of IsraelH3478; and giveH238 earH238, O houseH1004 of the kingH4428: for this judgmentH4941 is for you; for ye have beenH1961 a snareH6341 at MizpahH4709, and a netH7568 spreadH6566 upon TaborH8396. 2And they have plunged themselves in the corruption of apostasy, but I will be a chastiser of them all. 3I knowH3045 EphraimH669, and IsraelH3478 is not hid from me; for nowH6258, EphraimH669, thou hast committed whoredom; IsraelH3478 is defiledH2930. 4Their doings do not allow them to returnH7725 unto their 1GodH430; for the spiritH7307 of whoredoms is in the midstH7130 of them, and they knowH3045 not Jehovah. 5And Israel's prideH1347 doth testifyH6030 to his faceH6440; and IsraelH3478 and EphraimH669 shall fall by their iniquityH5771: JudahH3063 alsoH1571 shall fall with them. 6They shall go with their flocksH6629 and with their herdsH1241 to seekH1245 Jehovah; but they shall not findH4672 [him]: he hath withdrawn himself from them. 7They have dealtH898 treacherouslyH898 against Jehovah; for they have begotten strangeH2114 children: nowH6258 shall the newH2320 moonH2320 devourH398 them, with their allotted possessions. 8BlowH8628 the hornH7782 in GibeahH1390, the trumpetH7782 in RamahH7414; cryH7321 aloud [at] Beth-aven: behind thee, O BenjaminH1144! 9EphraimH669 shall beH1961 a desolationH8047 in the dayH3117 of rebukeH8433: among the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478 have I madeH3045 knownH3045 that which is sure. 10The princesH8269 of JudahH3063 are becomeH1961 like them that remove the landmark: I will pourH8210 out my wrathH5678 upon them like waterH4325. 11EphraimH669 is oppressedH6231, crushedH7533 in judgmentH4941, because in selfwill he walkedH1980 after the commandment [of man]. 12And I will be unto EphraimH669 as a mothH6211, and to the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 as rottennessH7538. 13When EphraimH669 sawH7200 his sicknessH2483, and JudahH3063 his sore, then went EphraimH669 to the Assyrian, and sentH7971 to kingH4428 JarebH3377; but he was unable to healH7495 you, nor hath he removed your sore. 14For I will be unto EphraimH669 as a lionH3715, and as a youngH3715 lionH3715 to the houseH1004 of JudahH3063. I, I will tearH2963 and go awayH5375; I will carryH5375 off, and there shall be none to deliverH5337. 15I will goH7725 awayH7725, I will returnH7725 to my placeH4725, till they acknowledge their trespass, and seekH1245 my faceH6440: in their affliction they will seekH1245 me early.
