Hosea 7:9-16
9StrangersH2114 have devouredH398 his strengthH3581, and he knoweth [it] not; yea, grayH7872 hairsH7872 are here and there upon him, and he knoweth [it] not. 10And the prideH1347 of IsraelH3478 testifieth to his faceH6440; and they do not returnH7725 to Jehovah their 1GodH430, nor seekH1245 him for all this. 11And EphraimH669 is becomeH1961 like a silly doveH3123 without understanding: they callH7121 to EgyptH4714, they goH1980 to AssyriaH804. 12WhenH834 they goH3381, I will spreadH6566 my netH7568 upon them; I will bringH3381 them downH3381 as the fowl of the heavensH8064; I will chastise them, according as their assemblyH5712 hath heard. 13WoeH188 unto them! for they have wandered from me; destructionH7701 unto them! for they have transgressedH6586 against me. And I would redeemH6299 them; but they speakH1696 liesH3577 against me. 14And they criedH2199 not unto me in their heartH3820, when they howled upon their bedsH4904; they assemble themselves for corn and newH8492 wineH8492; they have turnedH5493 asideH5493 from me. 15I have indeed trained, I have strengthenedH2388 their armsH2220, but they imagine mischief against me. 16They returnH7725, [but] not to the [Most] High: they are like a deceitful bowH7198. Their princesH8269 shall fallH5307 by the swordH2719 for the rage of their tongueH3956: this shall beH1961 their derision in the landH776 of EgyptH4714.
