Darby Bible
Timothy 5:3-10
Honour widowsG5503 who are really widowsG5503;
but if any widowG5503 have childrenG5043 or descendants, let them learnG3129 first to beG1510 pious as regards their ownG2398 houseG3624, and to renderG591 a return on their side to [their] parents; for this isG1510 acceptable in the sight of 1GodG2316.
NowG1161 she who [is] a widowG5503 indeed, and is left alone, has put [her] hopeG1679 in 2GodG2316, and continuesG4357 in supplications and prayersG4335 nightG3571 and dayG2250.
But she that lives in habits of self-indulgence is dead [while] livingG2198.
And these thingsG3778 enjoin, that they may beG1510 irreproachable.
But if any oneG5100 does not provide for his ownG2398, and specially for those of [his] house, he has deniedG720 the faithG4102, and isG1510 worse than the unbelieverG571.
Let a widowG5503 be put upon the list, being of not less than sixtyG1835 yearsG2094, [having been] wifeG1135 of oneG1520 manG435,
borne witnessG3140 to in goodG18 worksG2041, if she have brought up children, if she have exercised hospitality, if she have washedG3538 saints' feetG4228, if she have imparted relief to the distressed, if she have diligently followed every goodG18 workG2041.
