6who gaveG1325 himself a ransom for all, the testimonyG3142 [to be rendered] in its ownG2398 timesG2540; 7to which I have been appointedG5087 a herald and apostleG652, (I speakG3004 [the] truthG225, I do not lieG5574,) a teacherG1320 of [the] nationsG1484 in faithG4102 and truthG225. 8I will thereforeG3767 that the menG435 prayG4336 in every placeG5117, liftingG1869 up pious handsG5495, without wrathG3709 or reasoning. 9In like manner alsoG2532 that the womenG1135 in decent deportment and dress adornG2885 themselves with modesty and discretion, not with plaited [hair] and goldG5553, or pearlsG3135, or costly clothingG2441, 10but, what becomes womenG1135 making profession of the fear of 1God, by goodG18 worksG2041. 11Let a womanG1135 learnG3129 in quietness in all subjection; 12but I do not suffer a womanG1135 to teachG1321 nor to exercise authority over manG435, but to beG1510 in quietness; 13for AdamG76 was formed firstG4413, thenG1534 EveG2096: 14and AdamG76 was not deceivedG1818; but the womanG1135, having been deceivedG1818, was in transgressionG3847. 15But she shall be preserved in childbearing, if they continue in faithG4102 and loveG26 and holinessG38 with discretion.
