8AndthewordofJehovahcameH3318untome,sayingH559,

9Sonofman, prophesy,andsay,ThusH3651saith Jehovah: Say,AswordH2719,aswordH2719issharpened,andalsofurbished.

10Itissharpenedforsore slaughter,itisfurbishedthatitmayglitter.ShallwethenmakeH3045mirth, [saying,]Thesceptreofmyson contemnethallwood?

11Andhehath givenittobefurbishedthatitmaybehandled.Thesword, —itissharpened,anditisfurbishedtogiveitintothehandoftheslayer.

12Cryandhowl, sonofman;foritshallbeH1961againstmypeople,itshallbeH1961againstalltheprincesofIsrael:theyaregivenuptotheswordalongwithmypeople: smitethereforeuponthethigh.

13Forthetrial [ismade];andwhatifeventhecontemning sceptreshallbeH1961no [more]? saiththeLordJehovah.

14Andthou,sonH1121ofmanH120,prophesyH5012,andsmite thy handstogether;for[thestrokesof]theswordH2719shallbedoubledthethird time:itistheswordH2719oftheslain,theswordH2719thathath slainthegreatone,whichencompasseththemprivily.

15Inorderthattheheartmaymelt,andthestumbling-blocksbeהֱיֵה־he.yeh-H1961multiplied,Ihavesetthethreatening swordagainstalltheirgates: ah!itismadeglittering,itiswhettedfortheslaughterH2874.

16Gatherup[strength], gototherighthandבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027,turnthee, gototheleft, whithersoever thy faceisappointed.

17AndImyselfwillsmitemyhandstogetherH2199,andIwillsatisfymyfury:IJehovahhavespoken[it].

18AndthewordofJehovahcameuntome, saying,

19Andthou,sonH1121ofmanH120, set theetwoways,bywhichtheswordH2719ofthekingofBabylonmaycome —outofonelandshalltheybothcome —andmake theeasignpost, makeitattheheadofthewaytothecity.

20AppointawayforthecomingoftheswordH2719toRabbahofthechildrenofAmmon,andtoJudahatthefenced [city]ofJerusalem.

21ForthekingofBabylon standeth atthepartingoftheway, attheheadofthetwo ways,touse divination:heshaketh [his] arrows,heinquirethoftheteraphim,helookethintheliver.

22InhisrighthandH3709isthelotofJerusalemtoappoint battering-rams,toopenthemouthforbloodshed,toliftupthevoicewithshouting,toappoint battering-ramsagainstthegates,tocastmounds,tobuild siege-towers.

23AndthisshallbeH1961afalse divinationintheirsight,forthemthathavesworn oaths;buthewillcalltoremembrancetheiniquity,thattheymaybeH1961taken.

24Thereforethus saiththeLord Jehovah:Becauseyemakeשִׂים־sim-H7760youriniquitytoberememberedinthatyourtransgressionsarediscovered,sothatinallyourdoingsyoursins appear;becauseyearecomeלָבוֹא֙la.Vo'H935toremembrance, yeshallbetakenwiththehandH3027.

25Andthou, profane, wicked princeofIsrael,whosedayiscomeH935,atthetimeoftheiniquityoftheend,

26— thus saiththeLord Jehovah: Removethemitreandtakeoffthecrown;whatisshallbeno [more]. Exaltthatwhichislow,andabasethatwhichishigh.

27Iwilloverturn, overturn, overturnit! This alsoshallbeH1961no [more],untilhecomewhoserightבִּֽימִינ֞וֹbi.mi.NoH3225itis;andIwillgiveit[tohim].
