Leviticus 17:13-14
13And if anyH376 IsraeliteH1121H3478H4480 or foreignerH1616 livingH1481 among themH8432 hunts downH6679 a wildH2416 animalH6718 orH176 birdH5775 thatH834 may be eatenH398, he must drainH8210 its bloodH1818 and coverH3680 it with dirtH6083. 14ForH3588 the lifeH5315 of allH3605 fleshH1320 is its bloodH1818. Therefore I have toldH559 the IsraelitesH1121H3478, ‘You must notH3808 eatH398 the bloodH1818 of anyH3605 living thingH1320, becauseH3588 the lifeH5315 of allH3605 fleshH1320 is its bloodH1818; whoeverH1931H3605 eats itH398 must be cut offH3772.’
