Leviticus 9

On the eighthH8066 dayH3117 MosesH4872 summonedH7121 AaronH175 and his sonsH1121 and the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478. 2He saidH559 toH413 AaronH175, “TakeH3947 for yourself a young bullH5695H1121H1241 for a sin offeringH2403 and a ramH352 for a burnt offeringH5930, both without blemishH8549, and present themH7126 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068. 3Then speakH1696 toH413 the IsraelitesH1121H3478 and sayH559, ‘TakeH3947 a male goatH8163H5795 for a sin offeringH2403, a calfH5695 and a lambH3532—both a year oldH1121H8141 and without blemishH8549—for a burnt offeringH5930, 4an oxH77941 and a ramH352 for a peace offeringH8002 to sacrificeH2076 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068, and a grain offeringH4503 mixedH1101 with oilH8081. ForH3588 todayH3117 the LORDH3068 will appearH7200 to youH413.’”

So they tookH3947 whatH834 MosesH4872 had commandedH6680 toH413 the frontH6440 of the TentH168 of MeetingH4150, and the wholeH3605 congregationH5712 drew nearH7126 and stoodH5975 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068. 6And MosesH4872 saidH559, “ThisH2088H1697 is whatH834 the LORDH3068 has commandedH6680 you to doH6213, so that the gloryH3519 of the LORDH3068 may appearH7200 to youH413.”

Then MosesH4872 saidH559 toH413 AaronH175, “ApproachH7126H413 the altarH4196 and sacrificeH6213 your sin offeringH2403 and your burnt offeringH5930 to make atonementH3722 for yourselfH1157 and forH1157 the peopleH5971. And sacrificeH6213 the people’sH5971 offeringH7133 to make atonementH3722 for themH1157, asH834 the LORDH3068 has commandedH6680.”

So AaronH175H413 approachedH7126 the altarH4196 and slaughteredH7819 the calfH5695 as a sin offeringH2403 for himself. 9The sonsH1121 of AaronH175 broughtH7126 the bloodH1818 to himH413, and he dippedH2881 his fingerH676 in the bloodH1818 and appliedH5414 it toH5921 the hornsH7161 of the altarH4196. AndH853 he poured outH3332 the rest of the bloodH1818 atH413 the baseH3247 of the altarH4196. 10On the altarH4196 he burnedH6999 the fatH2459, the kidneysH3629, andH853 the lobeH3508 ofH4480 the liverH3516 fromH4480 the sin offeringH2403, asH834 the LORDH3068 had commandedH6680 MosesH4872. 11ButH853 he burned upH8313H784 the fleshH1320 and the hideH5785 outsideH2351 the campH4264.

Then Aaron slaughteredH7819 the burnt offeringH5930. His sonsH1121 brought himH4672 the bloodH1818, and he splatteredH2236 it onH5921 all sidesH5439 of the altarH4196. 13They broughtH4672 himH413 the burnt offeringH5930 piece by pieceH5409, includingH853 the headH7218, and he burned themH6999 onH5921 the altarH4196. 14He washedH7364 the entrailsH7130 and the legsH3767 and burnedH6999 them atopH5921 the burnt offeringH5930 on the altarH4196.

Aaron then presentedH7126 the people’sH5971 offeringH7133. He tookH3947 the male goatH8163 for the people’sH5971 sin offeringH2403, slaughtered itH7819, and offered it for sinH2398 like the first oneH7223.

He presentedH7126 the burnt offeringH5930 and offered itH6213 according to the ordinanceH4941.

Next he presentedH7126 the grain offeringH4503, tookH4390 a handfulH3709 of itH4480, and burnedH6999 it onH5921 the altarH4196 in addition toH905 the morning’sH1242 burnt offeringH5930.

Then he slaughteredH7819 the oxH7794 and the ramH352 as the people’sH5971 peace offeringH2077H8002. His sonsH1121 brought himH4672 the bloodH1818H413, and he splatteredH2236 it onH5921 all sidesH5439 of the altarH4196.

They also brought the fat portionsH2459 fromH4480 the oxH7794H4480 and the ramH352—the fat tailH451, the fat coveringH4374 the entrails, the kidneysH3629, and the lobeH3508 of the liverH3516— 20and placedH7760 theseH2459 onH5921 the breastsH2373. Aaron burnedH6999 the fat portionsH2459 on the altarH4196, 21butH853 he wavedH5130 the breastsH2373 and the rightH3225 thighH7785 as a wave offeringH8573 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068, asH834 MosesH4872 had commandedH6680.

AaronH175 lifted upH5375 his handsH3027 towardH413 the peopleH5971 and blessed themH1288. And having madeH6213 the sin offeringH2403, the burnt offeringH5930, and the peace offeringH8002, he stepped downH3381.

MosesH4872 and AaronH175 then enteredH935H413 the TentH168 of MeetingH4150. When they came outH3318, they blessedH1288 the peopleH5971, and the gloryH3519 of the LORDH3068 appearedH7200 toH413 allH3605 the peopleH5971. 24FireH784 cameH3318 out from the presenceH6440 of the LORDH3068 and consumedH398 the burnt offeringH5930 and the fat portionsH2459 onH5921 the altarH4196. And when allH3605 the peopleH5971 saw itH7200, they shouted for joyH7442 and fellH5307 facedownH5921H6440.
