21A remnantשְׁאָ֥רshe.'ArH7605will returnיָשׁ֖וּבya.ShuvH7725—a remnantשְׁאָ֣רshe.'ArH7605of Jacobיַעֲקֹ֑בya.'a.KoH3290—toאֶל־'el-H413the Mightyגִּבּֽוֹר׃gi.BorH1368Godאֵ֖ל'elH410.

22Thoughכִּ֣י אִם־ki 'im-H3588 H518your peopleעַמְּךָ֤'a.me.KhaH5971,O Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478,beיִהְיֶ֞הyih.YehH1961like the sandכְּח֣וֹלke.CholH2344of the seaהַיָּ֔םhai.YamH3220,only a remnantשְׁאָ֖רshe.'ArH7605will returnיָשׁ֣וּבya.ShuvH7725.Destructionכִּלָּי֥וֹןki.la.YonH3631has been decreedחָר֖וּץcha.RutzH2782,overflowingשׁוֹטֵ֥ףsho.TefH7857with righteousnessצְדָקָֽה׃tze.da.KahH6666.

23Forכִּ֥יkiH3588the Lordאֲדֹנָ֤י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִה֙Yah.wehH3069of Hostsצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635will carry outעֹשֶׂ֖ה'o.SehH6213the destructionכָלָ֖הkha.LahH3617decreedוְנֶחֱרָצָ֑הve.ne.che.ra.TzahH2782uponבְּקֶ֥רֶבbe.Ke.revH7130the wholeכָּל־kol-H3605landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ סha.'A.retzH776.

24Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651this is whatכֹּֽה־koh-H3541the Lordאֲדֹנָ֤י'a.do.NaiH136GODיְהוִה֙Yah.wehH3069of Hostsצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635saysאָמַ֞ר'a.MarH559: “O My peopleעַמִּ֛י'a.MiH5971who dwellיֹשֵׁ֥בyo.ShevH3427in Zionצִיּ֖וֹןtzi.YonH6726,do notאַל־'al-H408fearתִּירָ֥אti.Ra'H3372Assyriaמֵֽאַשּׁ֑וּרme.'a.ShurH804,who strikesיַכֶּ֔כָּהya.Ke.kahH5221you with a rodבַּשֵּׁ֣בֶטba.She.vetH7626and liftsיִשָּֽׂא־yi.sa'-H5375his staffוּמַטֵּ֥הוּu.ma.Te.huH4294against youעָלֶ֖יךָ'a.Lei.khaH5921as the Egyptiansמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714didבְּדֶ֥רֶךְbe.De.rekhH1870.

25Forכִּי־ki-H3588in justע֖וֹדodH5750a little whileמְעַ֣ט מִזְעָ֑רme.'At miz.'ArH4592 H4213My furyזַ֔עַםZa.'amH2195against youwill subsideוְכָ֣לָהve.Kha.lahH3615,and My angerוְאַפִּ֖יve.'a.PiH639will turn toעַל־'al-H5921their destructionתַּבְלִיתָֽם׃tav.li.TamH8399.”

26And the LORDיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָאוֹת֙tze.va.'OtH6635will brandishוְעוֹרֵ֨רve.'o.RerH5782a whipשׁ֔וֹטShotH7752against themעָלָ֜יו'a.LavH5921,as when He struckכְּמַכַּ֥תke.ma.KatH4347Midianמִדְיָ֖ןmid.YanH4080at the rockבְּצ֣וּרbe.TzurH6697of Orebעוֹרֵ֑בo.RevH6159.He will raiseוּנְשָׂא֖וֹ בְּדֶ֥רֶךְu.ne.sa.'O be.De.rekhH5375 H1870His staffוּמַטֵּ֙הוּ֙u.ma.Te.huH4294overעַל־'al-H5921the seaהַיָּ֔םhai.YamH3220,as He did in Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

27וְהָיָ֣ה׀ve.ha.YahH1961On thatהַה֗וּאha.Hu'H1931dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117the burdenסֻבֳּלוֹ֙su.bo.LoH5448will be liftedיָס֤וּרya.SurH5493fromמֵעַ֣לme.'AlH5921your shouldersשִׁכְמֶ֔ךָshikh.Me.khaH7926,and the yokeוְעֻלּ֖וֹve.'u.LoH5923fromמֵעַ֣לme.'AlH5921your neckצַוָּארֶ֑ךָtza.va.Re.khaH6677.The yokeעֹ֖ל'olH5923will be brokenוְחֻבַּ֥לve.chu.BalH2254becauseמִפְּנֵי־mi.pe.nei-H6440your neck will be too largeשָֽׁמֶן׃Sha.menH8081.
