4Then in his presenceלְפָנָ֗יוle.fa.NavH6440אֵ֚ת'etH853the altarsמִזְבְּח֣וֹתmiz.be.ChotH4196of the Baalsהַבְּעָלִ֔יםha.be.'a.LimH1168were torn downוַיְנַתְּצ֣וּvay.na.te.TzuH5422,and he cut to piecesגִּדֵּ֑עַgi.De.a'H1438the incense altarsוְהַֽחַמָּנִ֛יםve.ha.cha.ma.NimH2553thatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834were aboveלְמַ֥עְלָהle.Ma'.lahH4605themמֵעֲלֵיהֶ֖םme.'a.lei.HemH5921.He shatteredשִׁבַּ֣רshi.BarH7665the Asherah polesוְ֠הָאֲשֵׁרִיםVe.ha.'a.she.rimH842,the carved idolsוְהַפְּסִלִ֤יםve.ha.pe.si.LimH6456,and the cast imagesוְהַמַּסֵּכוֹת֙ve.ham.ma.se.khOtH4541,crushed them to dustוְהֵדַ֔קve.he.DakH1854,and scattered themוַיִּזְרֹק֙vai.yiz.RokH2236overעַל־ פְּנֵ֣י'al- pe.NeiH5921 H6440the gravesהַקְּבָרִ֔יםha.ke.va.RimH6913of those who had sacrificedהַזֹּבְחִ֖יםha.zoe.ChimH2076to them.

5Then he burnedשָׂרַ֖ףsa.RafH8313the bonesוְעַצְמוֹת֙ve.'atz.mOtH6106of the priestsכֹּֽהֲנִ֔יםko.ha.NimH3548onעַל־'al-H5921their altarsמִזְבְּחוֹתָ֑םmiz.be.cho.taimH4196.So he cleansedוַיְטַהֵ֥רvay.ta.HerH2891אֶת־'et-H853Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853and Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.ru.sha.LimH3389.

6Josiahdid the same in the citiesוּבְעָרֵ֨יu.ve.'a.ReiH5892of Manassehמְנַשֶּׁ֧הme.na.ShehH4519,Ephraimוְאֶפְרַ֛יִםve.'ef.Ra.yimH669,and Simeonוְשִׁמְע֖וֹןve.shim.'onH8095,asוְעַד־ve.'ad-H5704far as Naphtaliנַפְתָּלִ֑יnaf.ta.LiH5321,and in the ruinsH2022 H1004around themסָבִֽיב׃sa.VivH5439.
