12And in his distressוּכְהָצֵ֣רu.khe.ha.TzerH6887, Manassehsoughtחִלָּ֕הchi.LahH2470אֶת־'et-H853the favorפְּנֵ֖יpe.NeiH6440of the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068his Godאֱלֹהָ֑יו'e.lo.HavH430and earnestlyמְאֹ֔דme.'OdH3966humbled himselfוַיִּכָּנַ֣עvai.yi.ka.Na'H3665beforeמִלִּפְנֵ֖יmi.lif.NeiH6440the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of his fathersאֲבֹתָֽיו׃'a.vo.TavH1.

13And when he prayedוַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֣לvai.yit.pa.LelH6419to Himאֵלָ֗יו'e.LavH413,the LORD received his pleaוַיֵּעָ֤תֶרvai.ye.'A.terH6279and heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֣עvai.yish.Ma'H8085his petitionתְּחִנָּת֔וֹte.chi.na.ToH8467.So He brought him backוַיְשִׁיבֵ֥הוּvay.shi.Ve.huH7725to Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֖םye.ru.sha.LimH3389and to his kingdomלְמַלְכוּת֑וֹle.mal.khu.ToH4438.Then Manassehמְנַשֶּׁ֔הme.na.ShehH4519knewוַיֵּ֣דַעvai.Ye.da'H3045thatכִּ֥יkiH3588the LORDיְהוָ֖ה ה֥וּאYah.weh hu'H3068 H1931is Godהָֽאֱלֹהִֽים׃Ha.'E.lo.HimH430.

14Afterוְאַחֲרֵי־ve.'a.cha.rei-H310thisכֵ֡ןkhenH3651, Manassehrebuiltבָּנָ֣הba.NahH1129the outerחִֽיצוֹנָ֣ה׀chi.tzo.NahH2435wallחוֹמָ֣הcho.MahH2346of the Cityלְעִיר־le.'ir-H5892of Davidדָּוִ֡ידda.VidH1732from westמַעְרָבָה֩ma'.ra.VahH4628of Gihonלְגִיח֨וֹןle.gi.ChonH1521in the valleyבַּנַּ֜חַלba.Na.chalH5158to the entranceוְלָב֨וֹאve.la.Vo'H935of the Fishהַדָּגִים֙ha.da.GimH1709Gateבְשַׁ֤עַרve.Sha.'arH8179,and he brought it aroundוְסָבַ֣בve.sa.VavH5437the hill of Ophelלָעֹ֔פֶלla.'O.felH6077and heightened itוַיַּגְבִּיהֶ֖הָvai.yag.bi.He.haH1361considerablyמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966.He also stationedוַיָּ֧שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760militaryחַ֛יִלCha.yilH2428commandersשָֽׂרֵי־sa.rei-H8269in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the fortifiedהַבְּצֻר֖וֹתha.be.tzu.RotH1219citiesהֶעָרִ֥יםhe.'a.RimH5892of Judahבִּיהוּדָֽה׃bi.hu.DahH3063.

15He removedוַ֠יָּסַרVai.ya.sarH5493אֶת־'et-H853the foreignהַנֵּכָ֤רha.ne.KharH5236וְאֶת־ve.'EtH853godsאֱלֹהֵ֨י'e.lo.HeiH430and the idolהַסֶּ֙מֶל֙ha.Se.melH5566from the houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,along with allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the altarsהַֽמִּזְבְּח֗וֹתha.miz.be.ChotH4196אֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834he had builtבָּנָ֛הba.NahH1129on the templeבֵּית־beit-H1004יְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068mountבְּהַ֥רbe.HarH2022and in Jerusalemוּבִירוּשָׁלִָ֑םu.vi.ru.sha.LimH3389,and he dumped themוַיַּשְׁלֵ֖ךְvai.yash.LekhH7993outsideח֥וּצָהChu.tzahH2351the cityלָעִֽיר׃la.'IrH5892.

16Then he restoredH3559אֶת־'et-H853the altarמִזְבַּ֣חmiz.BachH4196of the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068and sacrificedוַיִּזְבַּ֣חvai.yiz.BachH2076peace offeringsשְׁלָמִ֖יםshe.la.MimH8002and thankוְתוֹדָ֑הve.to.DahH8426offeringsזִבְחֵ֥יziv.CheiH2077on itעָלָ֔יו'a.LavH5921,and he toldוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559Judahלִֽיהוּדָ֔הli.hu.DahH3063to serveלַעֲב֕וֹדla.'a.VodH5647אֶת־'et-H853the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

17Neverthelessאֲבָל֙'a.ValH61,the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971stillע֣וֹדodH5750sacrificedזֹבְחִ֖יםzoe.ChimH2076at the high placesבַּבָּמ֑וֹתba.ba.MotH1116,but onlyרַ֖קrakH7535to the LORDלַיהוָ֥הla.Yah.wehH3068their Godאֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃'e.lo.hei.HemH430.

18As for the restוְיֶ֨תֶרve.Ye.terH3499of the actsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697of Manassehמְנַשֶּׁה֮me.na.ShehH4519,along with his prayerוּתְפִלָּת֣וֹu.te.fi.la.ToH8605toאֶל־'el-H413his Godאֱלֹהָיו֒'e.lo.HavH430and the wordsוְדִבְרֵי֙ve.div.ReiH1697of the seersהַֽחֹזִ֔יםha.cho.ZimH2374who spokeהַֽמְדַבְּרִ֣יםham.da.be.RimH1696to himאֵלָ֔יו'e.LavH413in the nameבְּשֵׁ֥םbe.ShemH8034of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,they are indeedהִנָּ֕םhi.NamH2005written inעַל־'al-H5921the Chroniclesדִּבְרֵ֖יdiv.ReiH1697of the Kingsמַלְכֵ֥יmal.KheiH4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

20And Manassehמְנַשֶּׁה֙me.na.ShehH4519restedוַיִּשְׁכַּ֤בvai.yish.KavH7901withעִם־'im-H5973his fathersאֲבֹתָ֔יו'a.vo.TavH1and was buriedוַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֖הוּvai.yik.be.Ru.huH6912at his palaceבֵּית֑וֹbei.ToH1004.And his sonבְּנ֖וֹbe.NoH1121Amonאָמ֥וֹן'a.MonH526reignedוַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְvai.yim.LokhH4427in his placeתַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פtach.TavH8478.

21Amonאָמ֣וֹן'a.MonH526was twenty-twoעֶשְׂרִ֧ים וּשְׁתַּ֛יִם'es.Rim u.she.Ta.yimH6242 H8147years oldבֶּן־ שָׁנָ֖הben- sha.NahH1121 H8141when he became kingבְּמָלְכ֑וֹbe.ma.le.KhoH4427,and he reignedמָלַ֖ךְma.LakhH4427in Jerusalemבִּֽירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃Bi.ru.sha.LimH3389twoוּשְׁתַּ֣יִםu.she.Ta.yimH8147yearsשָׁנִ֔יםsha.NimH8141.
