4Moreover, he commandedוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559the peopleלָעָם֙la.'AmH5971livingלְיוֹשְׁבֵ֣יle.yo.she.VeiH3427in Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֔םye.ru.sha.LimH3389to makeלָתֵ֕תla.TetH5414a contributionמְנָ֥תme.NatH4521for the priestsהַכֹּהֲנִ֖יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548and Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּ֑םve.hal.vi.YimH3881so thatלְמַ֥עַןle.Ma.'anH4616they could devote themselvesיֶחֶזְק֖וּye.chez.KuH2388to the Lawבְּתוֹרַ֥תbe.to.RatH8451of the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

5As soon as the orderהַדָּבָ֗רha.da.VarH1697went outוְכִפְרֹ֣ץve.khif.RotzH6555,the Israelitesבְנֵֽי־ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ve.nei- Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478generously providedהִרְבּ֤וּhir.BuH7235the firstfruitsרֵאשִׁ֣יתre.ShitH7225of the grainדָּגָ֗ןda.GanH1715,new wineתִּיר֤וֹשׁti.Ro.oshH8492,oilוְיִצְהָר֙ve.yitz.HarH3323,and honeyוּדְבַ֔שׁu.de.VashH1706,and of allוְכֹ֖לve.KholH3605the produceתְּבוּאַ֣תte.vu.'AtH8393of the fieldשָׂדֶ֑הsa.DehH7704,and they brought inהֵבִֽיאוּ׃he.Vi.'uH935an abundanceלָרֹ֖בla.RoH7230—a titheוּמַעְשַׂ֥רu.ma'.SarH4643of everythingהַכֹּ֛לha.KolH3605.

6And the Israelitesוּבְנֵ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֣לu.ve.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478and Judahitesוִֽיהוּדָ֗הvi.hu.DahH3063who livedהַיּֽוֹשְׁבִים֮hai.yo.she.VimH3427in the citiesבְּעָרֵ֣יbe.'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָה֒ye.hu.DahH3063הֵ֗םHemH1992alsoגַּם־gam-H1571broughtהֵבִ֕יאוּhe.Vi.'uH935a titheמַעְשַׂ֤רma'.SarH4643of their herdsבָּקָר֙ba.KarH1241and flocksוָצֹ֔אןva.TzonH6629and a titheוּמַעְשַׂ֣רu.ma'.SarH4643of the holy thingsקָֽדָשִׁ֔יםka.da.ShimH6944consecratedהַמְקֻדָּשִׁ֖יםham.ku.da.ShimH6942to the LORDלַיהוָ֣הla.Yah.wehH3068their Godאֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם'e.lo.hei.HemH430,and they laid themוַֽיִּתְּנ֖וּvai.yi.te.NuH5414in large heapsH6194.

7In the thirdהַשְּׁלִשִׁ֔יha.she.li.ShiH7992monthבַּחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ba.Cho.deshH2320they beganהֵחֵ֥לּוּhe.Che.luH2490building upלְיִסּ֑וֹדle.yi.SodH3245the heapsהָעֲרֵמ֖וֹתha.'a.re.MotH6194,and they finishedכִּלּֽוּ׃ סki.LuH3615in the seventhהַשְּׁבִיעִ֖יha.she.vi.'IH7637monthוּבַחֹ֥דֶשׁu.va.Cho.deshH2320.

8When Hezekiahיְחִזְקִיָּ֣הוּye.chiz.ki.Ya.huH2396and his officialsוְהַשָּׂרִ֔יםve.ha.sa.RimH8269cameוַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙vai.ya.Vo.'uH935and viewedוַיִּרְא֖וּvai.yir.'UH7200אֶת־'et-H853the heapsהָעֲרֵמ֑וֹתha.'a.re.MotH6194,they blessedוַֽיְבָרֲכוּ֙vay.va.ra.KhuH1288אֶת־'et-H853the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068וְאֵ֖תve.'EtH853and His peopleעַמּ֥וֹa.MoH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פYis.ra.'ElH3478.

9Then Hezekiahיְחִזְקִיָּ֗הוּye.chiz.ki.Ya.huH2396questionedוַיִּדְרֹ֣שׁvai.yid.RoshH1875the priestsהַכֹּֽהֲנִ֛יםha.ko.ha.NimH3548and Levitesעַל־ וְהַלְוִיִּ֖ם'al- ve.hal.vi.YimH3881 H5921aboutעַל־'al-H5921the heapsהָעֲרֵמֽוֹת׃ha.'a.re.MotH6194,
