17Sinceכִּי־ki-H3588there were manyרַבַּ֥תra.BatH7227in the assemblyבַּקָּהָ֖לba.ka.HalH6951whoאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834had notלֹא־lo'-H3808consecrated themselvesהִתְקַדָּ֑שׁוּhit.ka.Da.shuH6942,the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּ֞םve.hal.vi.YimH3881were in charge ofעַל־'al-H5921slaughteringשְׁחִיטַ֣תshe.chi.TatH7821the Passoverהַפְּסָחִ֗יםha.pe.sa.ChimH6453lambs for everyלְכֹל֙le.KholH3605unclean personלֹ֣א טָה֔וֹרlo' ta.HorH3808 H2889to consecrateלְהַקְדִּ֖ישׁle.hak.DishH6942the lambsto the LORDלַיהוָֽה׃la.Yah.wehH3068.

18כִּ֣יkiH3588A large numberמַרְבִּ֣יתmar.BitH4768of the peopleהָעָ֡םha.'AmH5971—manyרַ֠בַּתRa.batH7227from Ephraimמֵֽאֶפְרַ֨יִםme.'ef.Ra.yimH669,Manassehוּמְנַשֶּׁ֜הu.me.na.ShehH4519,Issacharיִשָּׂשכָ֤רyi.so.sh.KharH3485,and Zebulunוּזְבֻלוּן֙u.ze.vu.LunH2074—had notלֹ֣אlo'H3808purified themselvesהִטֶּהָ֔רוּhi.te.Ha.ruH2891,yetכִּֽי־ki-H3588they ateאָכְל֥וּ'a.khe.LuH398אֶת־'et-H853the Passoverהַפֶּ֖סַחha.Pe.sachH6453,contraryבְּלֹ֣אbe.Lo'H3808to what was writtenכַכָּת֑וּבkha.ka.TuvH3789.Butכִּי֩kiH3588Hezekiahיְחִזְקִיָּ֤הוּye.chiz.ki.Ya.huH2396intercededהִתְפַּלֵּ֨לhit.pa.LelH6419for themעֲלֵיהֶם֙'a.lei.HemH5921,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “May the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068,who is goodהַטּ֖וֹבha.TovH2896,provide atonement forיְכַפֵּ֥רye.kha.PerH3722everyoneבְּעַֽד׃be.'AdH1157
