1Ahazאָחָ֣ז'a.ChazH271was twentyעֶשְׂרִ֤ים'es.RimH6242years oldבֶּן־ שָׁנָה֙ben- sha.NahH1121 H8141when he became kingבְּמָלְכ֔וֹbe.ma.le.KhoH4427,and he reignedמָלַ֖ךְma.LakhH4427in Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָ֑םbi.ru.sha.LimH3389sixteenוְשֵׁשׁ־ עֶשְׂרֵ֣הve.shesh- 'es.RehH8337 H6240yearsשָׁנָ֔הsha.NahH8141.And unlike Davidכְּדָוִ֥ידke.da.VidH1732his fatherאָבִֽיו׃'a.VivH1,he did notוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808doעָשָׂ֧ה'a.SahH6213what wasrightהַיָּשָׁ֛רhai.ya.SharH3477in the eyesבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068.

2Instead, he walkedוַיֵּ֕לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980in the waysבְּדַרְכֵ֖יbe.dar.KheiH1870of the kingsמַלְכֵ֣יmal.KheiH4428of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478and evenוְגַ֧םve.GamH1571madeעָשָׂ֖ה'a.SahH6213cast imagesמַסֵּכ֛וֹתma.se.KhotH4541of the Baalsלַבְּעָלִֽים׃la.be.'a.LimH1168.

3Moreover, Ahazוְה֥וּאve.Hu'H1931burned incenseהִקְטִ֖ירhik.TirH6999in the Valleyבְּגֵ֣יאbe.Gei'H1516of Ben-hinnomבֶן־ הִנֹּ֑םven- hi.NomH1121 H2011and sacrificedוַיַּבְעֵ֤רvai.yav.'ErH1197אֶת־'et-H853hissonsבָּנָיו֙ba.NavH1121in the fireבָּאֵ֔שׁba.'EshH784,according to the abominationsכְּתֹֽעֲבוֹת֙ke.to.'a.VotH8441of the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471thatאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834the LORDיְהוָ֔הha.shemH3068had driven outהֹרִ֣ישׁhō.rishH3423beforeמִפְּנֵ֖יmi.pe.NeiH6440the Israelitesבְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃be.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478.

4And he sacrificedוַיְזַבֵּ֧חַvay.za.Be.achH2076and burned incenseוַיְקַטֵּ֛רvay.ka.TerH6999on the high placesבַּבָּמ֖וֹתba.ba.MotH1116,onוְעַל־ve.'al-H5921the hillsהַגְּבָע֑וֹתha.ge.va.'otH1389,and underוְתַ֖חַתve.Ta.chatH8478everyכָּל־kol-H3605greenרַעֲנָֽן׃ra.'a.NanH7488treeעֵ֥ץ'etzH6086.
