James 2:14-20
14What doth it profitG3786, my brethren, if a man sayG3004 he hath faithG4102, but have not worksG2041? can that faithG4102 saveG4982 him? 15If a brotherG80 or sisterG79 be nakedG1131 and in lackG3007 of daily foodG5160, 16and oneG5100 of you sayG3004 unto them, GoG5217 in peaceG1515, be ye warmedG2328 and filledG5526; and yet ye giveG1325 them not the things needful to the bodyG4983; what doth it profitG3786? 17EvenG2532 so faithG4102, if it have not worksG2041, isG1510 deadG3498 in itself. 18Yea, a man will sayG3004, Thou hast faithG4102, and I have worksG2041: showG1166 me thy faithG4102 apartG5565 from thy worksG2041, and I by my worksG2041 will showG1166 thee my faithG4102. 19Thou believest that GodG2316 isG1510 oneG1520; thou doest wellG2573: the demonsG1140 alsoG2532 believeG4100, and shudder. 20But wilt thou knowG1097, O vainG2756 manG444, that faithG4102 apartG5565 from worksG2041 isG1510 barren?
