Exodus 7

1And Jehovah saidH559 unto MosesH4872, SeeH7200, I have madeH5414 thee as GodH430 to PharaohH6547; and AaronH175 thy brotherH251 shall beH1961 thy prophetH5030. 2Thou shalt speakH1696 all that I commandH6680 thee; and AaronH175 thy brotherH251 shall speakH1696 unto PharaohH6547, that he let the children of IsraelH3478 goH7971 out of his landH776. 3And I will hardenH7185 Pharaoh’sH6547 heartH3820, and multiplyH7235 my signsH226 and my wondersH4159 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 4But PharaohH6547 will not hearken unto you, and I will lay my handH3027 upon EgyptH4714, and bringH3318 forthH3318 my hostsH6635, my peopleH5971 the children of IsraelH3478, out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714 by greatH1419 judgmentsH8201. 5And the Egyptians shall knowH3045 that I am Jehovah, when I stretchH5186 forthH3318 my handH3027 upon EgyptH4714, and bringH3318 out the children of IsraelH3478 from among them. 6And MosesH4872 and AaronH175 did soH3651; as Jehovah commandedH6680 them, soH3651 did they. 7And MosesH4872 was fourscore yearsH8141 old, and AaronH175 fourscore and threeH7969 yearsH8141 old, when they spake unto PharaohH6547.

8And Jehovah spake unto MosesH4872 and unto AaronH175, sayingH559, 9When PharaohH6547 shall speakH1696 unto you, sayingH559, Show a wonderH4159 for you; then thou shalt sayH559 unto AaronH175, TakeH3947 thy rodH4294, and castH7993 it downH7993 before PharaohH6547, that it becomeH1961 a serpentH8577. 10And MosesH4872 and AaronH175 wentH935 in unto PharaohH6547, and they did soH3651, as Jehovah had commandedH6680: and AaronH175 castH7993 downH7993 his rodH4294 before PharaohH6547 and before his servantsH5650, and it becameH1961 a serpentH8577. 11Then PharaohH6547 alsoH1571 calledH7121 for the wiseH2450 men and the sorcerersH3784: and they alsoH1571, the magiciansH2748 of EgyptH4714, did in like manner with their enchantments. 12For they castH7993 down every manH376 his rodH4294, and they becameH1961 serpentsH8577: but Aaron’s rodH4294 swallowedH1104 up their rodsH4294. 13And Pharaoh’s heartH3820 was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as Jehovah had spokenH1696.

14And Jehovah saidH559 unto MosesH4872, Pharaoh’s heartH3820 is stubborn, he refuseth to let the peopleH5971 goH7971. 15Get thee unto PharaohH6547 in the morningH1242; lo, he goeth out unto the waterH4325; and thou shalt standH5324 by the river’s brink to meet him; and the rodH4294 which was turnedH2015 to a serpent shalt thou takeH3947 in thy handH3027. 16And thou shalt sayH559 unto him, Jehovah, the GodH430 of the HebrewsH5680, hath sentH7971 me unto thee, sayingH559, Let my peopleH5971 goH7971, that they may serveH5647 me in the wildernessH4057: and, behold, hitherto thou hast not hearkened. 17ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, In this thou shalt knowH3045 that I am Jehovah: behold, I will smite with the rodH4294 that is in my handH3027 upon the watersH4325 which are in the riverH2975, and they shall be turnedH2015 to bloodH1818. 18And the fishH1710 that are in the riverH2975 shall dieH4191, and the riverH2975 shall becomeH887 foul; and the EgyptiansH4713 shall loathe to drinkH8354 waterH4325 from the riverH2975. 19And Jehovah saidH559 unto MosesH4872, SayH559 unto AaronH175, TakeH3947 thy rodH4294, and stretchH5186 out thy handH3027 over the watersH4325 of EgyptH4714, over their riversH5104, over their streams, and over their poolsH98, and over all their pondsH98 of waterH4325, that they may becomeH1961 bloodH1818; and there shall beH1961 bloodH1818 throughout all the landH776 of EgyptH4714, both in vessels of woodH6086 and in vessels of stoneH68.

20And MosesH4872 and AaronH175 did soH3651, as Jehovah commandedH6680; and he liftedH7311 up the rodH4294, and smote the watersH4325 that were in the riverH2975, in the sight of PharaohH6547, and in the sight of his servantsH5650; and all the watersH4325 that were in the riverH2975 were turnedH2015 to bloodH1818. 21And the fishH1710 that were in the riverH2975 diedH4191; and the riverH2975 becameH1961 foul, and the Egyptians could not drinkH8354 waterH4325 from the riverH2975; and the bloodH1818 wasH1961 throughout all the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 22And the magiciansH2748 of EgyptH4714 did in like manner with their enchantments: and Pharaoh’s heartH3820 was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as Jehovah had spokenH1696. 23And PharaohH6547 turnedH6437 and wentH935 into his houseH1004, neither did he lay even this to heartH3820. 24And all the EgyptiansH4713 digged roundH5439 about the riverH2975 for waterH4325 to drinkH8354; for they could not drinkH8354 of the waterH4325 of the riverH2975. 25And sevenH7651 daysH3117 were fulfilled, after that Jehovah had smitten the riverH2975.
