Jeremiah 23

1WoeH1945 unto the shepherdsH7462 that destroyH6 and scatterH6327 the sheepH6629 of my pastureH4830! saith the LORDH3068. 2Therefore thusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, againstH5921 the shepherdsH7462 that feedH7462 my peopleH5971: Ye have scatteredH6327 my flockH6629, and drivenH5080 them awayH5080, and have notH3808 visitedH6485 them; beholdH2005, I will visitH6485 uponH5921 youH859 the evilH7455 of your doingsH4611, saith the LORDH3068. 3And I will gatherH6908 the remnantH7611 of my flockH6629 outH5921 of allH3605 the countriesH776 whither I have drivenH5080 them, and will bringH7725 them againH7725 to their folds; and they shall be fruitfulH6509 and multiplyH7235. 4And I will setH6965 upH6965 shepherdsH7462 over them which shall feedH7462 them: and they shall fearH3372 noH3808 moreH5750, norH3808 be dismayedH2865, neitherH3808 shall anyH5750 be lacking, saith the LORDH3068. 5BeholdH2009, the daysH3117 comeH935, saith the LORDH3068, that I will raiseH6965 unto DavidH1732 a righteousH6662 BranchH6780, and he shall reignH4427 as kingH4428 and dealH6213 wisely, and shall execute judgmentH4941 and justiceH4941 in the landH776. 6In his daysH3117 JudahH3063 shall be savedH3467, and IsraelH3478 shall dwellH7931 safelyH983: and this is his nameH8034 wherebyH834 he shall be calledH7121, The LORDH3068 is our righteousnessH6664. 7Therefore, beholdH2009, the daysH3117 comeH935, saith the LORDH3068, that they shall noH3808 moreH5750 sayH559, As the LORDH3068 liveth, whichH834 broughtH935 upH5927 the ChildrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 outH935 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714; 8but, As the LORDH3068 liveth, whichH834 broughtH935 upH5927 and whichH834 ledH935 the seedH2233 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 outH5921 of the northH6828 countryH776, and from allH3605 the countriesH776 whither I had drivenH5080 them; and they shall dwellH3427 in their own landH776. 9Concerning the prophetsH5030. WhatH4100 is the strawH8401 to the wheatH1250? saith the LORDH3068. 29Is notH3808 my wordH1697 like as fireH784? saith the LORDH3068; and like a hammerH6360 that breaketh the rockH5553 in pieces? 30Therefore, beholdH2005, I am againstH5921 the prophetsH5030, saith the LORDH3068, that stealH1589 my wordsH1697 everyH376 one from his neighbour. 31BeholdH2005, I am againstH5921 the prophetsH5030, saith the LORDH3068, that useH3947 their tonguesH3956, and say, He saith. 32BeholdH2005, I am againstH5921 them that prophesyH5012 lyingH8267 dreamsH2472, saith the LORDH3068, and doH6680 tellH5608 them, and cause my peopleH5971 to errH8582 by their liesH8267, and by their vainH8267 boastingH6350: yet I sentH7971 them notH3808, norH3808 commandedH6680 them; neitherH3808 shall they profitH3276 this peopleH5971 at all, saith the LORDH3068. 33And when this peopleH5971, or the prophetH5030, or a priestH3548, shall askH7592 thee, sayingH559, WhatH4100 is the burdenH4853 of the LORDH3068? then shalt thou sayH559 unto them, WhatH4100 burdenH4853! I will castH5203 youH3588 offH853, saith the LORDH3068. 34And as for the prophetH5030, and the priestH3548, and the peopleH5971, that shall sayH559, The burdenH4853 of the LORDH3068, I will evenH5921 punishH6485 that manH376 and his houseH1004. 35ThusH3541 shall ye sayH559 everyH376 one to his neighbour, and everyH376 one to his brotherH251, WhatH4100 hath the LORDH3068 answeredH559? and, WhatH4100 hath the LORDH3068 spokenH1696? 36And the burdenH4853 of the LORDH3068 shall ye mentionH2142 noH3808 moreH5750: for everyH376 man’sH376 ownH1961 wordH1697 shall be his burdenH4853; for ye have pervertedH2015 the wordsH1697 of the livingH2416 GodH430, of the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 our GodH430. 37ThusH3541 shalt thou sayH559 to the prophetH5030, WhatH4100 hath the LORDH3068 answeredH559 thee? and, WhatH4100 hath the LORDH3068 spokenH1696? 38But ifH518 ye sayH559, The burdenH4853 of the LORDH3068; therefore thusH3541 saith the LORDH3068: BecauseH3282 ye sayH559 this wordH1697, The burdenH4853 of the LORDH3068, and I have sentH7971 unto youH518, sayingH559, Ye shall notH3808 sayH559, The burdenH4853 of the LORDH3068; 39therefore, beholdH2005, I will utterly forgetH5382 youH834, and I will castH5414 youH834 offH5921, and the cityH5892 that I gaveH5414 unto youH834 and to your fathersH1, awayH5203 from my presenceH6440: 40and I will bringH5414 an everlastingH5769 reproachH2781 uponH5921 youH834, and a perpetualH5769 shameH2781 whichH834 shall notH3808 be forgottenH7911.
