2then will Idistressוַהֲצִיק֖וֹתִיva.ha.tzi.Ko.tiH6693Arielלַֽאֲרִיאֵ֑לla.'a.ri.'ElH740, and there shall bemourningוַֽאֲנִיָּ֔הva.'a.ni.YahH592and lamentation: and she shall be untomeH1961asArielכַּאֲרִיאֵֽל׃ka.'a.ri.'ElH740.

3And I willcampוְחָנִ֥יתִיve.cha.Ni.tiH2583againstH5921thee roundaboutH5921, and will lay siegeagainstH5921thee with a fort, and I willraiseוַהֲקִֽימֹתִ֥יva.ha.ki.mo.TiH6965siegeworksH5921againstH5921thee.

4And thou shalt bebroughtוְֽ֠הָיָהVe.ha.yahH1961downתִּשַּׁ֣חti.ShachH7817, and shaltspeakתְּדַבֵּ֔רִיte.da.Be.riH1696out of thegroundמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776, and thyspeechH1696shall belowוְשָׁפַלְתְּ֙ve.sha.falTH8213out of thedustוּמֵֽעָפָ֖רu.me.'a.FarH6083; and thyvoiceקוֹלֵ֔ךְko.LekhH6963shall be as of one that hath a familiarspiritכְּא֤וֹבke.'ovH178, out of thegroundמֵאֶ֙רֶץ֙me.'E.retzH776, and thyspeechH1696shallwhisperתְּצַפְצֵֽף׃te.tzaf.TzefH6850out of thedustוּמֵעָפָ֖רu.me.'a.FarH6083.

5But themultitudeהֲמ֣וֹןha.MonH1995of thy foes shall be like smalldustכְּאָבָ֥קke.'a.VakH80, and themultitudeהֲמ֣וֹןha.MonH1995of the terribleonesעָֽרִיצִ֔ים'a.ri.TzimH6184aschaffוּכְמֹ֤ץu.khe.MotzH4671that passethawayעֹבֵר֙'o.VerH5674: yea, it shall be at aninstantלְפֶ֥תַעle.Fe.ta'H6621suddenlyפִּתְאֹֽם׃pit.'OmH6597.

6Sheמֵעִ֨םme.'ImH5973shall bevisitedתִּפָּקֵ֔דti.pa.KedH6485of theLORDיְהוָ֤הYah.wehH3068ofhostsצְבָאוֹת֙tze.va.'OtH6635withthunderH6963, and withearthquakeוּבְרַ֖עַשׁu.ve.Ra.'ashH7494, andgreatגָּד֑וֹלga.DolH1419noiseH6963, with whirlwind andtempestוּסְעָרָ֔הu.se.'a.RahH5591, and theflameוְלַ֖הַבve.La.havH3851of adevouringאוֹכֵלָֽה׃'o.khe.LahH398fireאֵ֥שׁ'eshH784.

7And themultitudeהֲמוֹן֙ha.mOnH1995ofallH3605thenationsהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471that fightagainstH5921Arielאֲרִיאֵ֑ל'a.ri.'ElH740,evenH5921allH3605that fightagainstH5921herH3605andherH3605strong hold, and thatdistressוְהַמְּצִיקִ֖יםve.ha.me.tzi.KimH6693herH3605, shall be as adreamכַּֽחֲלוֹם֙ka.cha.lOmH2472, avisionחֲז֣וֹןcha.ZonH2377of thenightלַ֔יְלָהLay.lahH3915.

8And it shall be as when anhungryהָרָעֵ֜בha.ra.'EvH7457manH5315dreameth, and,beholdוְהִנֵּ֣הve.hi.NehH2009, he eateth; but he awaketh, and hissoulH5315isemptyוְרֵיקָ֣הve.rei.KahH7386: or as when athirstyהַצָּמֵא֙ha.tza.Me'H6771manH5315dreameth, and,beholdוְהִנֵּ֣הve.hi.NehH2009, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and,beholdוְהִנֵּ֣הve.hi.NehH2009, he isfaintעָיֵ֔ף'a.YefH5889, and hissoulH5315hathappetiteH5315:soכֵּ֣ןkenH3651shall themultitudeהֲמוֹן֙ha.mOnH1995ofallכָּל־kol-H3605thenationsהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471be, that fightagainstעַל־'al-H5921mountהַ֥רharH2022Zionצִיּֽוֹן׃ סtzi.YonH6726.

9Tarry ye andwonderוּתְמָ֔הוּu.te.Ma.huH8539, take your pleasure and beblindH8173: they are drunken, butnotוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808withwineיַ֔יִןYa.yinH3196; theystaggerנָע֖וּna.'UH5128, butnotוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808withstrongשֵׁכָֽר׃she.KharH7941drinkH7941.

10For theLORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068hath pouredoutH5921uponH5921youכִּֽי־ki-H3588thespiritר֣וּחַRu.achH7307ofdeepתַּרְדֵּמָ֔הtar.de.MahH8639sleepH8639, and hathclosedH3680youreyesעֵֽינֵיכֶ֑ם'ei.nei.KhemH5869, theprophetsהַנְּבִיאִ֛יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030; and yourheadsרָאשֵׁיכֶ֥םra.shei.KhemH7218, theseersהַחֹזִ֖יםha.cho.ZimH2374, hath hecoveredכִּסָּֽה׃ki.SahH3680.

11AndallH3605visionחָז֣וּתcha.ZutH2380isbecomeוַתְּהִ֨יva.te.HiH1961untoyouH834as thewordsכְּדִבְרֵי֮ke.div.ReiH1697of abookH5612that issealedהֶֽחָתוּם֒he.cha.TumH2856,whichH834menH3605deliverיִתְּנ֣וּyi.te.NuH5414to one that islearnedיוֹדֵ֥עַyo.De.a'H3045,sayingH559,Readקְרָ֣אke.Ra'H7121this, Iprayנָא־na'-H4994thee: and he saith, Icannotלֹ֣אlo'H3808, for it issealedחָת֖וּםcha.TumH2856:

13And theLordאֲדֹנָ֗י'a.do.NaiH136saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, Forasmuch as thispeopleהָעָ֣םha.'AmH5971drawנִגַּשׁ֙ni.GashH5066nigh untomeH4480, and with theirmouthבְּפִ֤יוbe.FivH6310and with theirlipsוּבִשְׂפָתָיו֙u.vis.fa.TavH8193doH2088honourmeH4480, but haveremovedH7368theirheartוְלִבּ֖וֹve.li.BoH3820farרִחַ֣קri.ChakH7368frommeH4480, and theirfearH3373ofmeH4480is acommandmentמִצְוַ֥תmitz.VatH4687ofmenH376whichH2088hath beentaughtמְלֻמָּדָֽה׃me.lu.ma.DahH3925them:

14therefore,beholdהִנְנִ֥יhi.NiH2005, I will proceed todoיוֹסִ֛ףyo.SifH3254amarvelousלְהַפְלִ֥יאle.haf.Li'H6381work among thispeopleהָֽעָם־ha.'om-H5971,evenלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651amarvelousהַפְלֵ֣אhaf.Le'H6381work and a wonder: and thewisdomחָכְמַ֣תcha.khe.MatH2451of theirwiseחֲכָמָ֔יוcha.kha.MavH2450menH2450shallperishוְאָֽבְדָה֙ve.'a.ve.DahH6, and theunderstandingנְבֹנָ֖יוne.vo.NavH995of theirprudentH995menH2450shall behidתִּסְתַּתָּֽר׃ סtis.ta.TarH5641.
