Isaiah 29:1-14

HoH1945 ArielH740, ArielH740, the cityH7151 whereH5921 DavidH1732 encampedH2583! addH5595 ye yearH8141 to yearH8141; let the feastsH2282 come roundH5362:

then will I distressH6693 ArielH740, and there shall be mourningH592 and lamentation: and she shall be unto meH1961 as ArielH740.

And I will campH2583 againstH5921 thee round aboutH5921, and will lay siege againstH5921 thee with a fort, and I will raiseH6965 siege worksH5921 againstH5921 thee.

And thou shalt be broughtH1961 downH7817, and shalt speakH1696 out of the groundH776, and thy speechH1696 shall be lowH8213 out of the dustH6083; and thy voiceH6963 shall be as of one that hath a familiar spiritH178, out of the groundH776, and thy speechH1696 shall whisperH6850 out of the dustH6083.

But the multitudeH1995 of thy foes shall be like small dustH80, and the multitudeH1995 of the terrible onesH6184 as chaffH4671 that passeth awayH5674: yea, it shall be at an instantH6621 suddenlyH6597.

SheH5973 shall be visitedH6485 of the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 with thunderH6963, and with earthquakeH7494, and greatH1419 noiseH6963, with whirlwind and tempestH5591, and the flameH3851 of a devouringH398 fireH784.

And the multitudeH1995 of allH3605 the nationsH1471 that fight againstH5921 ArielH740, evenH5921 allH3605 that fight againstH5921 herH3605 and herH3605 strong hold, and that distressH6693 herH3605, shall be as a dreamH2472, a visionH2377 of the nightH3915.

And it shall be as when an hungryH7457 manH5315 dreameth, and, beholdH2009, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soulH5315 is emptyH7386: or as when a thirstyH6771 manH5315 dreameth, and, beholdH2009, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, beholdH2009, he is faintH5889, and his soulH5315 hath appetiteH5315: soH3651 shall the multitudeH1995 of allH3605 the nationsH1471 be, that fight againstH5921 mountH2022 ZionH6726.

Tarry ye and wonderH8539, take your pleasure and be blindH8173: they are drunken, but notH3808 with wineH3196; they staggerH5128, but notH3808 with strongH7941 drinkH7941.

For the LORDH3068 hath poured outH5921 uponH5921 youH3588 the spiritH7307 of deepH8639 sleepH8639, and hath closedH3680 your eyesH5869, the prophetsH5030; and your headsH7218, the seersH2374, hath he coveredH3680.

And allH3605 visionH2380 is becomeH1961 unto youH834 as the wordsH1697 of a bookH5612 that is sealedH2856, whichH834 menH3605 deliverH5414 to one that is learnedH3045, sayingH559, ReadH7121 this, I prayH4994 thee: and he saith, I cannotH3808, for it is sealedH2856:

and the bookH5612 is deliveredH5414 to him that is notH3808 learnedH3045, sayingH559, ReadH7121 this, I prayH4994 thee: and he saith, I am notH3808 learnedH3045.

And the LordH136 saidH559, Forasmuch as this peopleH5971 drawH5066 nigh unto meH4480, and with their mouthH6310 and with their lipsH8193 doH2088 honour meH4480, but have removedH7368 their heartH3820 farH7368 from meH4480, and their fearH3373 of meH4480 is a commandmentH4687 of menH376 whichH2088 hath been taughtH3925 them:

therefore, beholdH2005, I will proceed to doH3254 a marvelousH6381 work among this peopleH5971, evenH3651 a marvelousH6381 work and a wonder: and the wisdomH2451 of their wiseH2450 menH2450 shall perishH6, and the understandingH995 of their prudentH995 menH2450 shall be hidH5641.
