2Also, thou sonבֶן־ven-H1121of manאָדָ֗ם'a.DamH120,thus saithאָמַ֞ר'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֧י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֛הYah.wehH3069unto the landלְאַדְמַ֥תle.'ad.MatH127of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478;An endקֵ֑ץKetzH7093,the endהַקֵּ֔ץha.KetzH7093is comeבָּ֣אba'H935upon the fourאַרְבַּ֖ע'ar.ba.'atH702cornersכַּנְפ֥וֹתkan.FotH3671of the landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

3Now isthe endהַקֵּ֣ץha.KetzH7093comeupon thee, and I will sendוְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֤יve.shi.lach.TiH7971mine angerאַפִּי֙'a.PiH639upon thee, and will judgeוּשְׁפַטְתִּ֖יךְu.she.fa.TikhH8199thee according to thy waysכִּדְרָכָ֑יִךְkid.ra.Kha.yikhH1870,and will recompenseוְנָתַתִּ֣יve.na.ta.TiH5414upon thee all thine abominationsתּוֹעֲבֹתָֽיִךְ׃to.'a.vo.Ta.yikhH8441.

4And mine eyeעֵינִ֛י'ei.NiH5869shall not spareתָח֥וֹסta.ChosH2347thee, neither will I have pityאֶחְמ֑וֹל'ech.MolH2550:but I will recompenseאֶתֵּ֗ן'e.TenH5414thy waysדְרָכַ֜יִךְde.ra.Kha.yikhH1870upon thee, and thine abominationsוְתוֹעֲבוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ve.to.'a.vo.Ta.yikhH8441shall be in the midstבְּתוֹכֵ֣ךְbe.to.KhekhH8432of thee: and ye shall knowוִידַעְתֶּ֖םvi.da'.TemH3045that I amYhwhיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068.

5Thus saithאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֑הYah.wehH3069;An evilרָעָ֛הra.'AhH7451,an onlyאַחַ֥ת'a.ChatH259evilרָעָ֖הra.'AhH7451,behold, is comeבָאָֽה׃va.'AhH935.

6An endקֵ֣ץketzH7093is comeבָּ֔אBa'H935,the endהַקֵּ֖ץha.KetzH7093is comeבָּ֥אba'H935:it watchethהֵקִ֣יץhe.KitzH6974for thee; behold, it is comeבָּאָֽה׃ba.'AhH935.

7The morningהַצְּפִירָ֛הha.tze.fi.RahH6843is comeבָּ֧אָהBa.'ahH935unto thee, O thou that dwellestיוֹשֵׁ֣בyo.ShevH3427in the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776:the timeהָעֵ֗תha.'EtH6256is comeבָּ֣אba'H935,the dayהַיּ֥וֹםhai.YomH3117of troubleמְהוּמָ֖הme.hu.MahH4103isnearקָר֛וֹבka.RovH7138,and not the sounding againהֵ֥דhedH1906of the mountainsהָרִֽים׃ha.RimH2022.

8Now will I shortlyמִקָּר֗וֹבmi.ka.RovH7138pour outאֶשְׁפּ֤וֹךְ'esh.PokhH8210my furyחֲמָתִי֙cha.ma.TiH2534upon thee, and accomplishוְכִלֵּיתִ֤יve.khi.lei.TiH3615mine angerאַפִּי֙'a.PiH639upon thee: and I will judgeוּשְׁפַטְתִּ֖יךְu.she.fa.TikhH8199thee according to thy waysכִּדְרָכָ֑יִךְkid.ra.Kha.yikhH1870,and will recompenseוְנָתַתִּ֣יve.na.ta.TiH5414thee for all thine abominationsתּוֹעֲבוֹתָֽיִךְ׃to.'a.vo.Ta.yikhH8441.

10Behold the dayהַיּ֖וֹםhai.YomH3117,behold, it is comeבָאָ֑הva.'AhH935:the morningהַצְּפִרָ֔הha.tze.fi.RahH6843is gone forthיָֽצְאָה֙ya.tze.'AhH3318;the rodהַמַּטֶּ֔הha.ma.TehH4294hath blossomedצָ֚ץtzatzH6692,prideהַזָּדֽוֹן׃ha.za.DonH2087hath buddedפָּרַ֖חpa.RachH6524.

11Violenceהֶחָמָ֥ס׀he.cha.MasH2555is risen upקָ֖םkamH6965into a rodלְמַטֵּה־le.ma.teh-H4294of wickednessרֶ֑שַׁעRe.sha'H7562: none of them shall remain,nor of their multitudeמֵהֲמוֹנָ֛םme.ha.mo.NamH1995,nor of anyמֶהֱמֵהֶ֖םme.he.me.HemH1991of theirs: neither shall there bewailingנֹ֥הַּNo.ahH5089for them.

12The timeהָעֵת֙ha.'EtH6256is comeבָּ֤אba'H935,the dayהַיּ֔וֹםhai.YomH3117draweth nearהִגִּ֣יעַhi.Gi.a'H5060:let not the buyerהַקּוֹנֶה֙ha.ko.NehH7069rejoiceיִשְׂמָ֔חyis.MachH8055,nor the sellerוְהַמּוֹכֵ֖רve.ha.mo.KherH4376mournיִתְאַבָּ֑לyit.'a.BalH56:for wrathחָר֖וֹןcha.RonH2740isupon all the multitudeהֲמוֹנָֽהּ׃ha.mo.NahH1995thereof.

13For the sellerהַמּוֹכֵ֗רha.mo.KherH4376shall not returnיָשׁ֔וּבya.ShuvH7725to that which is soldהַמִּמְכָּר֙ha.mi.KarH4465,although they were yet aliveH2416:for the visionחָז֤וֹןcha.ZonH2377istouching the whole multitudeהֲמוֹנָהּ֙ha.mo.NahH1995thereof, whichshall not returnיָשׁ֔וּבya.ShuvH7725;neither shall anyוְאִ֧ישׁve.'IshH376strengthenיִתְחַזָּֽקוּ׃yit.cha.Za.kuH2388himself in the iniquityבַּעֲוֹנ֛וֹba.'a.vo.NoH5771of his lifeH2416.

14They have blownתָּקְע֤וּta.ke.'UH8628the trumpetבַתָּק֙וֹעַ֙va.ta.Ko.a'H8619,even to make all readyוְהָכִ֣יןve.ha.KhinH3559;but none goethהֹלֵ֖ךְho.LekhH1980to the battleלַמִּלְחָמָ֑הla.mil.cha.MahH4421:for my wrathחֲרוֹנִ֖יcha.ro.NiH2740isupon all the multitudeהֲמוֹנָֽהּ׃ha.mo.NahH1995thereof.

15The swordהַחֶ֣רֶבha.Che.revH2719iswithoutבַּח֔וּץba.ChutzH2351,and the pestilenceוְהַדֶּ֥בֶרve.ha.De.verH1698and the famineוְהָרָעָ֖בve.ha.ra.'AvH7458withinמִבָּ֑יִתmi.Ba.yitH1004: he that isin the fieldבַּשָּׂדֶה֙ba.sa.DehH7704shall dieיָמ֔וּתya.MutH4191with the swordבַּחֶ֣רֶבba.Che.revH2719; and he that isin the cityבָּעִ֔ירba.'IrH5892,famineרָעָ֥בra.'AvH7458and pestilenceוָדֶ֖בֶרva.De.verH1698shall devourיֹאכֲלֶֽנּוּ׃yo.kha.Le.nuH398him.

16But they that escapeוּפָֽלְטוּ֙u.fal.TuH6403of them shall escapeפְּלִ֣יטֵיהֶ֔םpe.Li.tei.HemH6412,and shall be on the mountainsהֶהָרִ֗יםhe.ha.RimH2022like dovesכְּיוֹנֵ֧יke.yo.NeiH3123of the valleysהַגֵּאָי֛וֹתha.ge.'a.YotH1516,all of them mourningהֹמ֑וֹתho.MotH1993,every oneאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376for his iniquityבַּעֲוֹנֽוֹ׃ba.'a.vo.NoH5771.

17All handsהַיָּדַ֖יִםhai.ya.Da.yimH3027shall be feebleתִּרְפֶּ֑ינָהtir.Pei.nahH7503,and all kneesבִּרְכַּ֖יִםbir.Ka.yimH1290shall be weakH3212aswaterמָּֽיִם׃Ma.yimH4325.

18They shall also girdוְחָגְר֣וּve.cha.ge.RuH2296themselveswith sackclothשַׂקִּ֔יםsa.KimH8242,and horrorפַּלָּצ֑וּתpa.la.TzutH6427shall coverוְכִסְּתָ֥הve.khi.se.TahH3680them; and shameבּוּשָׁ֔הbu.ShahH955shall beupon all facesפָּנִים֙pa.NimH6440,and baldnessקָרְחָֽה׃ka.re.ChahH7144upon all their headsרָאשֵׁיהֶ֖םra.shei.HemH7218.

19They shall castיַשְׁלִ֗יכוּyash.Li.khuH7993their silverכַּסְפָּ֞םkas.PamH3701in the streetsבַּחוּצ֣וֹתba.chu.TzotH2351,and their goldוּזְהָבָם֮u.ze.ha.VamH2091shall be removedלְנִדָּ֣הle.ni.DahH5079:their silverכַּסְפָּ֨םkas.PamH3701and their goldוּזְהָבָ֜םu.ze.ha.VamH2091shall not be ableיוּכַ֣לyu.KhalH3201to deliverלְהַצִּילָ֗םle.ha.tzi.LamH5337them in the dayבְּיוֹם֙be.yOmH3117of the wrathעֶבְרַ֣ת'ev.RatH5678of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068:they shall not satisfyיְשַׂבֵּ֔עוּye.sa.Be.'uH7646their soulsנַפְשָׁם֙naf.ShamH5315,neither fillיְמַלֵּ֑אוּye.ma.Le.'uH4390their bowelsוּמֵעֵיהֶ֖םu.me.'ei.HemH4578:because it is the stumblingblockמִכְשׁ֥וֹלmikh.SholH4383of their iniquityעֲוֹנָ֖ם'a.vo.NamH5771.

20As for the beautyוּצְבִ֤יu.tze.ViH6643of his ornamentעֶדְיוֹ֙ed.YoH5716,he setשָׂמָ֔הוּsa.Ma.huH7760it in majestyלְגָא֣וֹןle.ga.'onH1347:but they madeעָ֣שׂוּ'A.suH6213the imagesוְצַלְמֵ֧יve.tzal.MeiH6754of their abominationsתוֹעֲבֹתָ֛םto.'a.vo.TamH8441andof their detestable thingsשִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֖םshi.ku.tzei.HemH8251therein: therefore have I setנְתַתִּ֥יוne.ta.TivH5414it farלְנִדָּֽה׃le.ni.DahH5079from them.

21And I will giveוּנְתַתִּ֤יוu.ne.ta.TivH5414it into the handsבְּיַֽד־be.yad-H3027of the strangersהַזָּרִים֙ha.za.RimH2114for a preyלָבַ֔זla.VazH957,and to the wickedוּלְרִשְׁעֵ֥יu.le.rish.'EiH7563of the earthהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776for a spoilלְשָׁלָ֑לle.sha.LalH7998;and they shall polluteוְחִלְּלֽוּהוּ׃ve.chil.lu.huH2490it.

22My faceפָנַי֙fa.NaiH6440will I turnוַהֲסִבּוֹתִ֤יva.ha.si.bo.TiH5437also from them, and they shall polluteוְחִלְּל֖וּve.chi.le.LuH2490my secretצְפוּנִ֑יtze.fu.NiH6845place:for the robbersפָּרִיצִ֖יםpa.ri.TzimH6530shall enterוּבָאוּ־u.va.'u-H935into it, and defileוְחִלְּלֽוּהָ׃ פve.chi.le.Lu.haH2490it.

23Makeעֲשֵׂ֖ה'a.SehH6213a chainהָֽרַתּ֑וֹקha.ra.TokH7569:for the landהָאָ֗רֶץha.'A.retzH776is fullמָֽלְאָה֙mal.'AhH4390of bloodyדָּמִ֔יםda.MimH1818crimesמִשְׁפַּ֣טmish.PatH4941,and the cityוְהָעִ֖ירve.ha.'IrH5892is fullמָלְאָ֥הmal.'AhH4390of violenceחָמָֽס׃cha.MasH2555.

24Wherefore I will bringוְהֵֽבֵאתִי֙ve.he.ve.TiH935the worstרָעֵ֣יra.'EiH7451of the heathenגוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471,and they shall possessוְיָרְשׁ֖וּve.ya.re.ShuH3423their housesבָּֽתֵּיהֶ֑םba.tei.HemH1004:I will also make the pompגְּא֣וֹןge.'onH1347of the strongעַזִּ֔ים'a.ZimH5794to ceaseוְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙ve.hish.ba.TiH7673;and their holy placesH6942shall be defiledוְנִחֲל֖וּve.ni.cha.LuH5157 H2490.

25Destructionקְפָ֖דָה־ke.Fa.dah-H7089comethבָ֑אVa'H935;and they shall seekוּבִקְשׁ֥וּu.vik.ShuH1245peaceשָׁל֖וֹםsha.LomH7965, and there shall be none.

26Mischiefהֹוָ֤הho.VahH1943shall comeתָּב֔וֹאta.Vo'H935upon mischiefהֹוָה֙ho.VahH1943,and rumourוּשְׁמֻעָ֥הu.she.mu.'AhH8052shall be upon rumourשְׁמוּעָ֖הshe.mu.'AhH8052;then shall they seekוּבִקְשׁ֤וּu.vik.ShuH1245a visionחָזוֹן֙cha.zOnH2377of the prophetמִנָּבִ֔יאmi.na.Vi'H5030;but the lawוְתוֹרָה֙ve.to.RahH8451shall perishתֹּאבַ֣דto.VadH6from the priestמִכֹּהֵ֔ןmi.ko.HenH3548,and counselוְעֵצָ֖הve.'e.TzahH6098from the ancientsמִזְּקֵנִֽים׃mi.ze.ke.NimH2205.

27The kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428shall mournיִתְאַבָּ֗לyit.'a.BalH56,and the princeוְנָשִׂיא֙ve.na.Si'H5387shall be clothedיִלְבַּ֣שׁyil.BashH3847with desolationשְׁמָמָ֔הshe.ma.MahH8077,and the handsוִידֵ֥יvi.DeiH3027of the peopleעַם־'am-H5971of the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776shall be troubledתִּבָּהַ֑לְנָהti.ba.Hal.nahH926:I will doאֶעֱשֶׂ֤ה'e.'e.SehH6213unto them after their wayמִדַּרְכָּ֞םmi.dar.KamH1870,and according to their desertsוּבְמִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶ֣םu.ve.mish.pe.tei.HemH4941will I judgeאֶשְׁפְּטֵ֔ם'esh.pe.TemH8199them; and they shall knowוְיָדְע֖וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I amYhwhיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068.
