3And they committed whoredomsוַתִּזְנֶ֣ינָהva.tiz.Nei.nahH2181in Egyptבְמִצְרַ֔יִםve.mitz.Ra.yimH4714;they committed whoredomsזָנ֑וּza.NuH2181in their youthבִּנְעוּרֵיהֶ֖ןbin.'u.rei.HenH5271:there were their breastsשְׁדֵיהֶ֔ןshe.dei.HenH7699pressedמֹעֲכ֣וּmo.'a.KhuH4600,and there they bruisedעִשּׂ֔וּ'i.SuH6213the teatsדַּדֵּ֖יda.DeiH1717of their virginityבְּתוּלֵיהֶֽן׃be.tu.lei.HenH1331.

4And the namesוּשְׁמוֹתָ֗ןu.she.mo.TanH8034of them wereAholahאָהֳלָ֤ה'o.ho.LahH170the elderהַגְּדוֹלָה֙ha.ge.do.LahH1419,and Aholibahוְאָהֳלִיבָ֣הve.'o.ho.li.VahH172her sisterאֲחוֹתָ֔הּ'a.cho.TahH269:and they were mine, and they bareוַתֵּלַ֖דְנָהva.te.Lad.nahH3205sonsבָּנִ֣יםba.NimH1121and daughtersוּבָנ֑וֹתu.va.NotH1323. Thus weretheir namesוּשְׁמוֹתָ֕ןu.she.mo.TanH8034;Samariaשֹׁמְר֣וֹןsho.me.RonH8111isAholahאָהֳלָ֔ה'o.ho.LahH170,and Jerusalemוִירוּשָׁלִַ֖םvi.ru.sha.LimH3389Aholibahאָהֳלִיבָֽה׃'o.ho.li.VahH172.

5And Aholahאָהֳלָ֖ה'o.ho.LahH170played the harlotוַתִּ֥זֶןva.Ti.zenH2181when she was mineתַּחְתָּ֑יtach.TaiH8478;and she dotedוַתַּעְגַּב֙va.ta'.GavH5689on her loversמְאַהֲבֶ֔יהָme.'a.ha.Vei.haH157,on the Assyriansאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804herneighboursקְרוֹבִֽים׃ke.ro.VimH7138,

6Which wereclothedלְבֻשֵׁ֤יle.vu.SheiH3847with blueתְכֵ֙לֶת֙te.Khe.letH8504,captainsפַּח֣וֹתpa.ChotH6346and rulersוּסְגָנִ֔יםu.se.ga.NimH5461,all of them desirableחֶ֖מֶדChe.medH2531young menבַּח֥וּרֵיba.Chu.reiH970,horsemenפָּרָשִׁ֕יםpa.ra.ShimH6571ridingרֹכְבֵ֖יro.khe.VeiH7392upon horsesסוּסִֽים׃su.SimH5483.

7Thus she committedוַתִּתֵּ֤ןva.ti.TenH5414her whoredomsתַּזְנוּתֶ֙יהָ֙taz.nu.Tei.haH8457with them, with all them that werethe chosenמִבְחַ֥רmiv.CharH4005menבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Assyriaאַשּׁ֖וּר'a.ShurH804,and with all on whom she dotedעָֽגְבָ֛ה'a.ge.VahH5689:with all their idolsגִּלּוּלֵיהֶ֖םgi.lu.lei.HemH1544she defiledנִטְמָֽאָה׃nit.Ma.'ahH2930herself.

8Neither leftעָזָ֔בָה'a.Za.vahH5800she her whoredomsתַּזְנוּתֶ֤יהָtaz.nu.Tei.haH8457broughtfrom Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙mi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714:for in her youthבִנְעוּרֶ֔יהָvin.'u.Rei.haH5271they layשָׁכְב֣וּsha.khe.VuH7901with her, and they bruisedעִשּׂ֖וּ'i.SuH6213the breastsדַּדֵּ֣יda.DeiH1717of her virginityבְתוּלֶ֑יהָve.tu.Lei.haH1331,and pouredוַיִּשְׁפְּכ֥וּvai.yish.pe.KhuH8210their whoredomתַזְנוּתָ֖םtaz.nu.TamH8457upon her.

9Wherefore I have deliveredנְתַתִּ֖יהָne.ta.Ti.haH5414her into the handבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of her loversמְאַֽהֲבֶ֑יהָme.'a.ha.Vei.haH157,into the handבְּיַד֙be.YadH3027of the Assyriansבְּנֵ֣י אַשּׁ֔וּרbe.Nei 'a.ShurH804 H1121,upon whom she dotedעָגְבָ֖ה'a.ge.VahH5689.

10These discoveredגִּלּ֣וּgi.LuH1540her nakednessעֶרְוָתָהּ֒'er.va.TahH6172:they tookלָקָ֔חוּla.Ka.chuH3947her sonsבָּנֶ֤יהָba.Nei.haH1121and her daughtersוּבְנוֹתֶ֙יהָ֙u.ve.no.Tei.haH1323,and slewהָרָ֑גוּha.Ra.guH2026her with the swordבַּחֶ֣רֶבba.Che.revH2719:and she became famousשֵׁם֙shemH8034among womenלַנָּשִׁ֔יםla.na.ShimH802;for they had executedעָ֥שׂוּ'A.suH6213judgmentוּשְׁפוּטִ֖יםu.she.fu.TimH8196upon her.

11And when her sisterאֲחוֹתָ֣הּ'a.cho.TahH269Aholibahאָהֳלִיבָ֔ה'o.ho.li.VahH172sawוַתֵּ֙רֶא֙va.Te.re'H7200this,she was more corruptוַתַּשְׁחֵ֥תva.tash.ChetH7843in her inordinate loveעַגְבָתָ֖הּ'ag.va.TahH5691than she, and in her whoredomsתַּ֨זְנוּתֶ֔יהָtaz.nu.Tei.haH8457more than her sisterאֲחוֹתָֽהּ׃'a.cho.TahH269in herwhoredomsמִזְּנוּנֵ֖יmi.ze.nu.NeiH2183.

13Then I sawוָאֵ֖רֶאva.'E.re'H7200that she was defiledנִטְמָ֑אָהnit.Ma.'ahH2930, that they tookbothלִשְׁתֵּיהֶֽן׃lish.tei.HenH8147oneאֶחָ֖ד'e.ChadH259wayדֶּ֥רֶךְDe.rekhH1870,

14And thatshe increasedוַתּ֖וֹסֶףva.To.sefH3254her whoredomsתַּזְנוּתֶ֑יהָtaz.nu.Tei.haH8457:for when she sawוַתֵּ֗רֶאva.Te.re'H7200menאַנְשֵׁי֙'an.SheiH582pourtrayedמְחֻקֶּ֣הme.chu.KehH2707upon the wallהַקִּ֔ירha.KirH7023,the imagesצַלְמֵ֣יtzal.MeiH6754of the Chaldeansכַשְׂדִּ֔יםkhas.di.yimH3778pourtrayedחֲקֻקִ֖יםcha.ku.KimH2710with vermilionבַּשָּׁשַֽׁר׃ba.sha.SharH8350,

17And the Babyloniansבְנֵֽי־ בָבֶל֙ve.nei- va.VelH894 H1121cameוַיָּבֹ֨אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to her into the bedלְמִשְׁכַּ֣בle.mish.KavH4904of loveדֹּדִ֔יםdo.DimH1730,and they defiledוַיְטַמְּא֥וּvay.ta.me.'UH2930her with their whoredomבְּתַזְנוּתָ֑םbe.taz.nu.TamH8457,and she was pollutedוַתִּ֨טְמָא־va.Tit.ma'-H2930with them, and her mindנַפְשָׁ֖הּnaf.ShahH5315was alienatedוַתֵּ֥קַעva.Te.ka'H3363from them.

18So she discoveredוַתְּגַל֙va.te.GalH1540her whoredomsתַּזְנוּתֶ֔יהָtaz.nu.Tei.haH8457,and discoveredוַתְּגַ֖לva.te.GalH1540her nakednessעֶרְוָתָ֑הּ'er.va.TahH6172:then my mindנַפְשִׁי֙naf.ShiH5315was alienatedוַתֵּ֤קַעva.Te.ka'H3363from her, like as my mindנַפְשִׁ֖יnaf.ShiH5315was alienatedנָקְעָ֥הna.ke.'AhH5361from her sisterאֲחוֹתָֽהּ׃'a.cho.TahH269.

19Yet she multipliedוַתַּרְבֶּ֖הva.tar.BehH7235her whoredomsתַּזְנוּתֶ֑יהָtaz.nu.Tei.haH8457,in calling to remembranceלִזְכֹּר֙liz.KorH2142the daysיְמֵ֣יye.MeiH3117of her youthנְעוּרֶ֔יהָne.'u.Rei.haH5271,wherein she had played the harlotזָנְתָ֖הza.ne.TahH2181in the landבְּאֶ֥רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

20For she dotedוַֽתַּעְגְּבָ֔הva.ta'.ge.VahH5689upon their paramoursפִּֽלַגְשֵׁיהֶ֑םpi.lag.shei.HemH6370,whose fleshבְּשַׂר־be.sar-H1320is asthe fleshבְּשָׂרָ֔םbe.sa.RamH1320of donkeysחֲמוֹרִים֙cha.mo.RimH2543,and whose issueוְזִרְמַ֥תve.zir.MatH2231is likethe issueזִרְמָתָֽם׃zir.ma.TamH2231of horsesסוּסִ֖יםsu.SimH5483.

21Thus thou calledst to remembranceוַֽתִּפְקְדִ֔יva.tif.ke.DiH6485the lewdnessזִמַּ֣תzi.MatH2154of thy youthנְעוּרָ֑יִךְne.'u.Ra.yikhH5271,in bruisingבַּעְשׂ֤וֹתba'.SotH6213thy teatsדַּדַּ֔יִךְda.Da.yikhH1717by the Egyptiansמִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙mi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714for the papsשְׁדֵ֥יshe.DeiH7699of thy youthנְעוּרָֽיִךְ׃ סne.'u.Ra.yikhH5271.

22Therefore, O Aholibahאָהֳלִיבָ֗ה'o.ho.li.VahH172,thus saithאָמַר֮'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִה֒Yah.wehH3069;Behold, I will raise upמֵעִ֤ירme.'IrH5782thy loversמְאַהֲבַ֙יִךְ֙me.'a.ha.Va.yikhH157against thee, from whom thy mindנַפְשֵׁ֖ךְnaf.ShekhH5315is alienatedנָקְעָ֥הna.ke.'AhH5361,and I will bringוַהֲבֵאתִ֥יםva.ha.ve.TimH935them against thee on every sideמִסָּבִֽיב׃mi.sa.VivH5439;

24And they shall comeוּבָ֣אוּu.Va.'uH935against thee with chariotsהֹ֠צֶןHo.tzenH2021,wagonsרֶ֤כֶבRe.khevH7393,and wheelsוְגַלְגַּל֙ve.gal.GalH1534,and with an assemblyוּבִקְהַ֣לu.vik.HalH6951of peopleעַמִּ֔ים'a.MimH5971, whichshall setיָשִׂ֥ימוּya.Si.muH7760against thee bucklerצִנָּ֤הtzi.NahH6793and shieldוּמָגֵן֙u.ma.GenH4043and helmetוְקוֹבַ֔עve.ko.Va'H6959round aboutסָבִ֑יבsa.VivH5439:and I will setוְנָתַתִּ֤יve.na.ta.TiH5414judgmentמִשְׁפָּ֔טmish.PatH4941beforeלִפְנֵיהֶם֙lif.nei.HemH6440them, and they shall judgeוּשְׁפָט֖וּךְu.she.fa.TukhH8199thee according to their judgmentsבְּמִשְׁפְּטֵיהֶֽם׃be.mish.pe.tei.HemH4941.

25And I will setוְנָתַתִּ֨יve.na.ta.TiH5414my jealousyקִנְאָתִ֜יkin.'a.TiH7068against thee, and they shall dealוְעָשׂ֤וּve.'a.SuH6213furiouslyבְּחֵמָ֔הbe.che.MahH2534with thee: they shall take awayיָסִ֔ירוּya.Si.ruH5493thy noseאַפֵּ֤ךְ'a.PekhH639and thine earsוְאָזְנַ֙יִךְ֙ve.'a.ze.Na.yikhH241;and thy remnantוְאַחֲרִיתֵ֖ךְve.'a.cha.ri.TekhH319shall fallתִּפּ֑וֹלti.PolH5307by the swordבַּחֶ֣רֶבba.Che.revH2719:they shall takeיִקָּ֔חוּyi.Ka.chuH3947thy sonsבָּנַ֤יִךְba.Na.yikhH1121and thy daughtersוּבְנוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙u.ve.no.Ta.yikhH1323;and thy residueוְאַחֲרִיתֵ֖ךְve.'a.cha.ri.TekhH319shall be devouredתֵּאָכֵ֥לte.'a.KhelH398by the fireבָּאֵֽשׁ׃ba.'EshH784.

26They shall also stripוְהִפְשִׁיט֖וּךְve.hif.shi.TukhH6584thee out of thy clothesבְּגָדָ֑יִךְbe.ga.Da.yikhH899,and take awayוְלָקְח֖וּve.la.ke.ChuH3947thy fairתִפְאַרְתֵּֽךְ׃tif.'ar.TekhH8597jewelsכְּלֵ֥יke.LeiH3627.

27Thus will I make thy lewdnessזִמָּתֵךְ֙zi.ma.teKhH2154to ceaseוְהִשְׁבַּתִּ֤יve.hish.ba.TiH7673from thee, and thy whoredomזְנוּתֵ֖ךְze.nu.TekhH2184broughtfrom the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714:so that thou shalt not lift upתִשְׂאִ֤יtis.'IH5375thine eyesעֵינַ֙יִךְ֙'ei.Na.yikhH5869unto them, nor rememberתִזְכְּרִי־tiz.ke.ri-H2142Egyptוּמִצְרַ֖יִםu.mitz.Ra.yimH4714any more.

28For thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069;Behold, I will deliverנֹֽתְנָ֔ךְno.te.NakhH5414thee into the handבְּיַ֖דbe.YadH3027of themwhom thou hatestשָׂנֵ֑אתsa.NetH8130,into the handבְּיַ֛דbe.YadH3027of themfrom whom thy mindנַפְשֵׁ֖ךְnaf.ShekhH5315is alienatedנָקְעָ֥הna.ke.'AhH5361:

29And they shall dealוְעָשׂ֨וּve.'a.SuH6213with thee hatefullyבְּשִׂנְאָ֗הbe.sin.'AhH8135,and shall take awayוְלָקְחוּ֙ve.la.ke.ChuH3947all thy labourיְגִיעֵ֔ךְye.gi.'EkhH3018,and shall leaveוַעֲזָב֖וּךְva.'a.za.VukhH5800thee nakedעֵירֹ֣ם'ei.RomH5903and bareוְעֶרְיָ֑הve.'er.YahH6181:and the nakednessעֶרְוַ֣ת'er.VatH6172of thy whoredomsזְנוּנַ֔יִךְze.nu.Na.yikhH2183shall be discoveredוְנִגְלָה֙ve.nig.LahH1540,both thy lewdnessוְזִמָּתֵ֖ךְve.zi.ma.TekhH2154and thy whoredomsוְתַזְנוּתָֽיִךְ׃ve.taz.nu.Ta.yikhH8457.

30I will doעָשֹׂ֥ה'a.SohH6213these thingsunto thee, because thou hast gone a whoringבִּזְנוֹתֵךְ֙biz.no.teKhH2181afterאַחֲרֵ֣י'a.cha.ReiH310the heathenגוֹיִ֔םgo.YimH1471, andbecause thou art pollutedנִטְמֵ֖אתnit.MetH2930with their idolsבְּגִלּוּלֵיהֶֽם׃be.gi.lu.lei.HemH1544.

31Thou hast walkedהָלָ֑כְתְּha.La.khetH1980in the wayבְּדֶ֥רֶךְbe.De.rekhH1870of thy sisterאֲחוֹתֵ֖ךְ'a.cho.TekhH269;therefore will I giveוְנָתַתִּ֥יve.na.ta.TiH5414her cupכוֹסָ֖הּkho.SahH3563into thine handבְּיָדֵֽךְ׃ סbe.ya.DekhH3027.

32Thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהֹוִ֔הYah.wehH3069;Thou shalt drinkתִּשְׁתִּ֔יtish.TiH8354of thy sister’sאֲחוֹתֵךְ֙'a.cho.teKhH269cupכּ֤וֹסKosH3563deepהָעֲמֻקָּ֖הha.'a.mu.KahH6013and largeוְהָרְחָבָ֑הve.ha.re.cha.VahH7342:thou shalt be laughed to scornלִצְחֹ֛קlitz.ChokH6712and had in derisionוּלְלַ֖עַגu.le.La.'agH3933;it containethלְהָכִֽיל׃le.ha.KhilH3557muchמִרְבָּ֥הmir.BahH4767.

33Thou shalt be filledתִּמָּלֵ֑אִיti.ma.Le.'iH4390with drunkennessשִׁכָּר֥וֹןshi.ka.RonH7943and sorrowוְיָג֖וֹןve.ya.GonH3015,with the cupכּ֚וֹסKosH3563of astonishmentשַׁמָּ֣הsha.MahH8047and desolationוּשְׁמָמָ֔הu.she.ma.MahH8077,with the cupכּ֖וֹסKosH3563of thy sisterאֲחוֹתֵ֥ךְ'a.cho.TekhH269Samariaשֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃sho.me.RonH8111.

34Thou shalt even drinkוְשָׁתִ֨יתve.sha.TitH8354it and suck itoutוּמָצִ֗יתu.ma.TzitH4680,and thou shalt breakתְּגָרֵ֖מִיte.ga.Re.miH1633the sherdsחֲרָשֶׂ֛יהָcha.ra.Sei.haH2789thereof, and pluck offתְּנַתֵּ֑קִיte.na.Te.kiH5423thine own breastsוְשָׁדַ֣יִךְve.sha.Da.yikhH7699:for I have spokenדִבַּ֔רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696it,saithנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִֽה׃ סYah.wehH3069.
