2And the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068came unto me, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

3Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֗ם'a.DamH120,these menהָאֲנָשִׁ֤יםha.'a.na.ShimH582have set upהֶעֱל֤וּhe.'e.LuH5927their idolsגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶם֙gi.lu.lei.HemH1544in their heartלִבָּ֔םli.BamH3820,and putנָתְנ֖וּna.te.NuH5414the stumblingblockוּמִכְשׁ֣וֹלu.mikh.SholH4383of their iniquityעֲוֹנָ֔ם'a.vo.NamH5771beforeנֹ֣כַחNo.khachH5227their faceפְּנֵיהֶ֑םpe.nei.HemH6440:should I be enquiredהַאִדָּרֹ֥שׁha.'i.da.RoshH1875of at allאִדָּרֵ֖שׁ'i.da.ReshH1875by them?

5That I may takeתְּפֹ֥שׂte.FosH8610the houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478in their own heartבְּלִבָּ֑םbe.li.BamH3820,because they are all estrangedנָזֹ֙רוּ֙na.Zo.ruH2114from me through their idolsבְּגִלּֽוּלֵיהֶ֖םbe.gi.lu.lei.HemH1544.

6Therefore sayאֱמֹ֣ר׀'e.MorH559unto the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,Thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069;Repentשׁ֣וּבוּShu.vuH7725,and turnוְהָשִׁ֔יבוּve.ha.Shi.vuH7725yourselvesfrom your idolsגִּלּֽוּלֵיכֶ֑םgi.lu.lei.KhemH1544;and turn awayהָשִׁ֥יבוּha.Shi.vuH7725your facesפְנֵיכֶֽם׃fe.nei.KhemH6440from all your abominationsתּוֹעֲבֹתֵיכֶ֖םto.'a.vo.tei.KhemH8441.

7For every oneH376of the houseמִבֵּ֣יתmi.BeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,or of the strangerוּמֵהַגֵּר֮u.me.ha.GerH1616that sojournethיָג֣וּרya.GurH1481in Israelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵל֒be.Yis.ra.'ElH3478,which separatethוְיִנָּזֵ֣רve.yi.na.ZerH5144himself from meמֵֽאַחֲרַ֗יme.'a.cha.RaiH310,and setteth upוְיַ֤עַלve.Ya.'alH5927his idolsגִּלּוּלָיו֙gi.lu.LavH1544in his heartלִבּ֔וֹli.BoH3820,and puttethיָשִׂ֖יםya.SimH7760the stumblingblockוּמִכְשׁ֣וֹלu.mikh.SholH4383of his iniquityעֲוֹנ֔וֹa.vo.NoH5771beforeנֹ֣כַחNo.khachH5227his faceפָּנָ֑יוpa.NavH6440,and comethוּבָ֤אu.Va'H935to a prophetהַנָּבִיא֙ha.na.Vi'H5030to enquireלִדְרָשׁ־lid.rosh-H1875of him concerning me; I Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068will answerנַֽעֲנֶה־na.'a.neh-H6030him by myself:

8And I will setוְנָתַתִּ֨יve.na.ta.TiH5414my faceפָנַ֜יfa.NaiH6440against that manבָּאִ֣ישׁba.'IshH376,and will makeH8074him a signלְא֣וֹתle.'otH226and a proverbוְלִמְשָׁלִ֔יםve.lim.sha.LimH4912,and I will cut him offוְהִכְרַתִּ֖יוve.hikh.ra.TivH3772from the midstמִתּ֣וֹךְmi.TokhH8432of my peopleעַמִּ֑י'a.MiH5971;and ye shall knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֖םvi.da'.TemH3045that I amYhwhיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.

9And if the prophetוְהַנָּבִ֤יאve.ha.na.Vi'H5030be deceivedיְפֻתֶּה֙ye.fu.TehH6601when he hath spokenוְדִבֶּ֣רve.di.BerH1696a thingדָּבָ֔רda.VarH1697,I Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068have deceivedפִּתֵּ֔יתִיpi.Tei.tiH6601that prophetהַנָּבִ֣יאha.na.Vi'H5030,and I will stretch outוְנָטִ֤יתִיve.na.Ti.tiH5186my handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027upon him, and will destroyוְהִ֨שְׁמַדְתִּ֔יוve.Hish.mad.TivH8045him from the midstמִתּ֖וֹךְmi.TokhH8432of my peopleעַמִּ֥י'a.MiH5971Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478.

10And they shall bearוְנָשְׂא֖וּve.na.se.'UH5375the punishment of their iniquityעֲוֹנָ֑ם'a.vo.NamH5771:the punishmentכַּֽעֲוֹן֙ka.'a.VonH5771of the prophetהַנָּבִ֖יאha.na.Vi'H5030shall be even as the punishmentכַּעֲוֹ֥ןka.'a.VonH5771of him that seekethהַדֹּרֵ֔שׁha.do.ReshH1875unto him;

11That the houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478may go no more astrayיִתְע֨וּyit.'UH8582from meמֵאַֽחֲרַ֔יme.'a.cha.RaiH310,neither be pollutedיִטַּמְּא֥וּyi.ta.me.'UH2930any more with all their transgressionsפִּשְׁעֵיהֶ֑םpish.'ei.HemH6588;but that they may be my peopleלְעָ֗םle.'AmH5971,and I may be their Godלֵֽאלֹהִ֔יםle.lo.HimH430,saithנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִֽה׃ פYah.wehH3069.

12The wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of Yhwhיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068came again to me, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

13Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֗ם'a.DamH120,when the landאֶ֚רֶץ'E.retzH776sinnethתֶחֱטָא־te.che.ta'-H2398against me by trespassingלִמְעָל־lim.'ol-H4603grievouslyמַ֔עַלMa.'alH4604,then will I stretch outוְנָטִ֤יתִיve.na.Ti.tiH5186mine handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027upon it, and will breakוְשָׁבַ֥רְתִּיve.sha.Var.tiH7665the staffמַטֵּה־ma.teh-H4294of the breadלָ֑חֶםLa.chemH3899thereof, and will sendוְהִשְׁלַחְתִּי־ve.hish.lach.ti-H7971famineרָעָ֔בra.'AvH7458upon it, and will cut offוְהִכְרַתִּ֥יve.hikh.ra.TiH3772manאָדָ֥ם'a.DamH120and beastוּבְהֵמָֽה׃u.ve.he.MahH929from it:

14Though these threeשְׁלֹ֨שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969menהָאֲנָשִׁ֤יםha.'a.na.ShimH582,Noahנֹ֖חַNo.achH5146,DanielH1840,and Jobוְאִיּ֑וֹבve.'i.YovH347,were in itבְּתוֹכָ֔הּbe.to.KhahH8432,they should deliverיְנַצְּל֣וּye.na.tze.LuH5337buttheir own soulsנַפְשָׁ֔םnaf.ShamH5315by their righteousnessבְצִדְקָתָם֙ve.tzid.ka.TamH6666,saithנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִֽה׃Yah.wehH3069.

15Ifלֽוּ־lu-H3863I cause noisomeרָעָ֛הra.'AhH7451beastsחַיָּ֥הchai.YahH2416to pass throughאַעֲבִ֥יר'a.'a.VirH5674the landבָּאָ֖רֶץba.'A.retzH776,and they spoilוְשִׁכְּלָ֑תָּהve.shi.ke.La.tahH7921it, so that it be desolateשְׁמָמָה֙she.ma.MahH8077,that no man may pass throughעוֹבֵ֔רo.VerH5674becauseמִפְּנֵ֖יmi.pe.NeiH6440of the beastsהַחַיָּֽה׃ha.chai.YahH2416:

16Thoughthese threeשְׁלֹ֨שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969menהָאֲנָשִׁ֣יםha.'a.na.ShimH582werein itבְּתוֹכָהּ֒be.to.KhahH8432, asI liveחַי־chai-H2416,saithנְאֻם֙ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069,they shall deliverיַצִּ֑ילוּya.Tzi.luH5337neither sonsבָּנִ֥יםba.NimH1121nor daughtersבָּנ֖וֹתba.NotH1323;they only shall be deliveredיִנָּצֵ֔לוּyi.na.Tze.luH5337,but the landוְהָאָ֖רֶץve.ha.'A.retzH776shall be desolateשְׁמָמָֽה׃she.ma.MahH8077.

17Or ifI bringאָבִ֖יא'a.Vi'H935a swordחֶ֥רֶבChe.revH2719upon that landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and sayוְאָמַרְתִּ֗יve.'a.mar.TiH559,Swordחֶ֚רֶבChe.revH2719,go throughתַּעֲבֹ֣רta.'a.VorH5674the landבָּאָ֔רֶץba.'A.retzH776;so that I cut offוְהִכְרַתִּ֥יve.hikh.ra.TiH3772manאָדָ֥ם'a.DamH120and beastוּבְהֵמָֽה׃u.ve.he.MahH929from it:

18Though these threeוּשְׁלֹ֨שֶׁתu.she.Lo.shetH7969menהָאֲנָשִׁ֣יםha.'a.na.ShimH582werein itבְּתוֹכָהּ֒be.to.KhahH8432, asI liveחַי־chai-H2416,saithנְאֻם֙ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069,they shall deliverיַצִּ֖ילוּya.Tzi.luH5337neither sonsבָּנִ֣יםba.NimH1121nor daughtersוּבָנ֑וֹתu.va.NotH1323,but they only shall be deliveredיִנָּצֵֽלוּ׃yi.na.Tze.luH5337themselves.

19Or ifI sendאֲשַׁלַּ֖ח'a.sha.LachH7971a pestilenceדֶּ֥בֶרDe.verH1698into that landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and pour outוְשָׁפַכְתִּ֨יve.sha.fakh.TiH8210my furyחֲמָתִ֤יcha.ma.TiH2534upon it in bloodבְּדָ֔םbe.DamH1818,to cut offלְהַכְרִ֥יתle.hakh.RitH3772from it manאָדָ֥ם'a.DamH120and beastוּבְהֵמָֽה׃u.ve.he.MahH929:

20Though Noahוְנֹ֨חַve.No.achH5146,DanielH1840,and Jobוְאִיּוֹב֮ve.'i.yOvH347, werein itבְּתוֹכָהּ֒be.to.KhahH8432, asI liveחַי־chai-H2416,saithנְאֻם֙ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069,they shall deliverיַצִּ֑ילוּya.Tzi.luH5337neither sonבֵּ֥ןbenH1121norH518daughterבַּ֖תbatH1323; they shall butdeliverיַצִּ֥ילוּya.Tzi.luH5337their own soulsנַפְשָֽׁם׃ פnaf.ShamH5315by their righteousnessבְצִדְקָתָ֖םve.tzid.ka.TamH6666.

21For thus saithאָמַ֜ר'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהֹוִ֗הYah.wehH3069;How much more when I sendשִׁלַּ֖חְתִּיshi.Lach.tiH7971my fourאַרְבַּ֣עַת'ar.Ba.'atH702soreהָרָעִ֡יםha.ra.'ImH7451judgmentsשְׁפָטַ֣י׀she.fa.TaiH8201upon Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,the swordחֶ֠רֶבChe.revH2719,and the famineוְרָעָ֞בve.ra.'AvH7458,and the noisomeרָעָה֙ra.'AhH7451beastוְחַיָּ֤הve.chai.YahH2416,and the pestilenceוָדֶ֔בֶרva.De.verH1698,to cut offלְהַכְרִ֥יתle.hakh.RitH3772from it manאָדָ֥ם'a.DamH120and beastוּבְהֵמָֽה׃u.ve.he.MahH929?

22Yet, behold, therein shall be leftנֽוֹתְרָה־not.rah-H3498a remnantפְּלֵטָ֗הpe.le.TahH6413that shall be brought forthהַֽמּוּצָאִים֮ha.mu.tza.'ImH3318, bothsonsבָּנִ֣יםba.NimH1121and daughtersוּבָנוֹת֒u.va.nOtH1323:behold, they shall come forthיוֹצְאִ֣יםyotz.'ImH3318unto you, and ye shall seeוּרְאִיתֶ֥םu.re.'i.TemH7200their wayדַּרְכָּ֖םdar.KamH1870and their doingsעֲלִֽילוֹתָ֑םa.li.lo.TamH5949:and ye shall be comfortedוְנִחַמְתֶּ֗םve.ni.cham.TemH5162concerning the evilהָֽרָעָה֙ha.ra.'AhH7451that I have broughtהֵבֵ֙אתִי֙he.Ve.tiH935upon Jerusalemיְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םye.Ru.sha.LimH3389, evenconcerning all that I have broughtהֵבֵ֖אתִיhe.Ve.tiH935upon it.

23And they shall comfortוְנִחֲמ֣וּve.ni.cha.MuH5162you, when ye seeתִרְא֥וּtir.'UH7200their waysדַּרְכָּ֖םdar.KamH1870and their doingsעֲלִֽילוֹתָ֑םa.li.lo.TamH5949:and ye shall knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֗םvi.da'.TemH3045that I have not doneעָשִׂ֙יתִי֙'a.Si.tiH6213without causeחִנָּ֤םchi.NamH2600all that I have doneעָשִׂ֣יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213in it, saithנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהֹוִֽה׃ פYah.wehH3069.
