2Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֕ם'a.DamH120,prophesyהִנָּבֵ֛אhi.na.Ve'H5012against the prophetsנְבִיאֵ֥יne.vi.'EiH5030of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478that prophesyהַנִּבָּאִ֑יםha.ni.ba.'ImH5012,and sayוְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ve.'a.mar.TaH559thou unto them that prophesyלִנְבִיאֵ֣יlin.vi.'EiH5030out of their own heartsמִלִּבָּ֔םmi.li.BamH3820,Hearשִׁמְע֖וּshim.'UH8085ye the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of Yhwhיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068;

3Thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069;Woeה֖וֹיHoH1945unto the foolishהַנְּבָלִ֑יםha.ne.va.LimH5036prophetsהַנְּבִיאִ֣יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030,that followהֹלְכִ֛ים אַחַ֥רho.le.Khim 'a.CharH310 H1980their own spiritרוּחָ֖םru.ChamH7307,and have seenרָאֽוּ׃ra.'UH7200nothing!

4O Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,thy prophetsנְבִיאֶ֥יךָne.vi.'Ei.khaH5030are like the foxesכְּשֻׁעָלִ֖יםke.shu.'a.LimH7776in the desertsבָּחֳרָב֑וֹתbo.cho.ra.VotH2723.

5Ye have not gone upעֲלִיתֶם֙'a.li.TemH5927into the gapsבַּפְּרָצ֔וֹתba.pe.ra.TzotH6556,neither made upוַתִּגְדְּר֥וּva.tig.de.RuH1443the hedgeגָדֵ֖רga.DerH1447for the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478to standלַעֲמֹ֥דla.'a.ModH5975in the battleבַּמִּלְחָמָ֖הba.mil.cha.MahH4421in the dayבְּי֥וֹםbe.YomH3117of Yhwhיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

6They have seenחָ֤זוּCha.zuH2372vanityשָׁוְא֙shaV'H7723and lyingכָּזָ֔בka.ZavH3577divinationוְקֶ֣סֶםve.Ke.semH7081,sayingהָאֹֽמְרִים֙ha.'o.me.RimH559,Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002:And Yhwhוַֽיהוָ֖הva.Yah.wehH3068hath not sentשְׁלָחָ֑םshe.la.ChamH7971them: and they have made othersto hopeוְיִֽחֲל֖וּve.yi.cha.LuH3176that they would confirmלְקַיֵּ֥םle.kai.YemH6965the wordדָּבָֽר׃da.VarH1697.

7Have ye not seenחֲזִיתֶ֔םcha.zi.TemH2372a vainשָׁוְא֙shaV'H7723visionמַֽחֲזֵה־ma.cha.zeh-H4236,and have ye not spokenדִבַּֽרְתִּי׃ סdi.Bar.tiH1696a lyingכָּזָ֖בka.ZavH3577divinationוּמִקְסַ֥םu.mik.SamH4738,whereas ye sayאֲמַרְתֶּ֑ם'a.mar.TemH559,Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002it;albeit I have not spokenוְאֹֽמְרִים֙ve.'o.me.RimH559?

8Therefore thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069;Because ye have spokenדַּבֶּרְכֶ֣םda.ber.KhemH1696vanityשָׁ֔וְאShav'H7723,and seenוַחֲזִיתֶ֖םva.cha.zi.TemH2372liesכָּזָ֑בka.ZavH3577, therefore, behold, I amagainst you, saithנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִֽה׃Yah.wehH3069.

9And mine handיָדִ֗יya.DiH3027shall be upon the prophetsהַנְּבִיאִ֞יםha.ne.vi.'ImH5030that seeH2374vanityשָׁוְא֮shaV'H7723,and that divineוְהַקֹּסְמִ֣יםve.ha.ko.se.MimH7080liesכָּזָב֒ka.ZavH3577:they shall not be in the assemblyבְּס֧וֹדbe.SodH5475of my peopleעַמִּ֣י'a.MiH5971,neither shall they be writtenיִכָּתֵ֔בוּyi.ka.Te.vuH3789in the writingוּבִכְתָ֤בu.vikh.TavH3791of the houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478,neither shall they enterיָבֹ֑אוּya.Vo.'uH935into the landאַדְמַ֥ת'ad.MatH127of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and ye shall knowוִידַעְתֶּ֕םvi.da'.TemH3045that I amthe Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִֽה׃Yah.wehH3069.

10Because, even because they have seducedהִטְע֧וּhit.'UH2937my peopleעַמִּ֛י'a.MiH5971,sayingלֵאמֹ֥רle.MorH559,Peaceשָׁל֖וֹםsha.LomH7965; and there wasno peaceשָׁל֑וֹםsha.LomH7965;and one built upבֹּ֣נֶהBo.nehH1129a wallחַ֔יִץCha.yitzH2434,and, loוְהִנָּ֛םve.hi.NamH2009,others daubedטָחִ֥יםta.ChimH2902it with untemperedתָּפֵֽל׃ta.FelH8602morter:

11Sayאֱמֹ֛ר'e.MorH559unto them which daubטָחֵ֥יta.CheiH2902itwith untemperedתָפֵ֖לta.FelH8602morter,that it shall fallוְיִפֹּ֑לve.yi.PolH5307:there shall be an overflowingשׁוֹטֵ֗ףsho.TefH7857showerגֶּ֣שֶׁםGe.shemH1653;and yeוְאַתֵּ֜נָהve.'a.Te.nahH859,O great hailstonesאַבְנֵ֤י אֶלְגָּבִישׁ֙'av.Nei 'el.ga.VishH68 H417,shall fallתִּפֹּ֔לְנָהti.Po.le.nahH5307;and a stormyסְעָר֖וֹתse.'a.RotH5591windוְר֥וּחַve.Ru.achH7307shall rendתְּבַקֵּֽעַ׃te.va.Ke.a'H1234it.

12Lo, when the wallהַקִּ֑ירha.KirH7023is fallenנָפַ֣לna.FalH5307,shall it not be saidיֵאָמֵ֣רye.'a.MerH559unto you, Where isthe daubingהַטִּ֖יחַha.Ti.achH2915wherewith ye have daubedטַחְתֶּֽם׃ סtach.TemH2902it?

13Therefore thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069;I will even rendוּבִקַּעְתִּ֥יu.vi.ka'.TiH1234itwith a stormyסְעָר֖וֹתse.'a.RotH5591windרֽוּחַ־Ru.ach-H7307in my furyבַּֽחֲמָתִ֑יba.cha.ma.TiH2534;and there shall be an overflowingשֹׁטֵף֙sho.TefH7857showerוְגֶ֤שֶׁםve.Ge.shemH1653in mine angerבְּאַפִּ֣יbe.'a.PiH639,and great hailstonesוְאַבְנֵ֥י אֶלְגָּבִ֖ישׁve.'av.Nei 'el.ga.VishH68 H417in myfuryבְּחֵמָ֥הbe.che.MahH2534to consumeלְכָלָֽה׃le.kha.LahH3617it.

14So will I break downוְהָ֨רַסְתִּ֜יve.Ha.ras.TiH2040the wallהַקִּ֨ירha.KirH7023that ye have daubedטַחְתֶּ֥םtach.TemH2902with untemperedתָּפֵ֛לta.FelH8602morter,and bringוְהִגַּעְתִּ֥יהוּve.hi.ga'.Ti.huH5060it down to the groundהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776,so that the foundationיְסֹד֑וֹye.so.DoH3247thereof shall be discoveredוְנִגְלָ֣הve.nig.LahH1540,and it shall fallוְנָֽפְלָה֙ve.na.fe.LahH5307,and ye shall be consumedוּכְלִיתֶ֣םu.khe.li.TemH3615in the midstבְּתוֹכָ֔הּbe.to.KhahH8432thereof: and ye shall knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֖םvi.da'.TemH3045that I amYhwhיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

15Thus will I accomplishוְכִלֵּיתִ֤יve.khi.lei.TiH3615my wrathחֲמָתִי֙cha.ma.TiH2534upon the wallבַּקִּ֔ירba.KirH7023,and upon them that have daubedוּבַטָּחִ֥יםu.va.ta.ChimH2902it with untemperedתָּפֵ֑לta.FelH8602morter,and will sayוְאֹמַ֤רve.'o.MarH559unto you, The wallהַקִּ֔ירha.KirH7023is no more,neither they that daubedהַטָּחִ֥יםha.ta.ChimH2902it;

16To wit,the prophetsנְבִיאֵ֣יne.vi.'EiH5030of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478which prophesyהַֽנִבְּאִים֙ha.ni.be.'ImH5012concerning Jerusalemיְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔םye.Ru.sha.LimH3389,and which seeH2374visionsחֲז֣וֹןcha.ZonH2377of peaceשָׁלֹ֑םsha.LomH7965for her, and there isno peaceשָׁלֹ֔םsha.LomH7965,saithנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהֹוִֽה׃ פYah.wehH3069.

17Likewise, thou sonבֶן־ven-H1121of manאָדָ֗ם'a.DamH120,setשִׂ֤יםsimH7760thy faceפָּנֶ֙יךָ֙pa.Nei.khaH6440against the daughtersבְּנ֣וֹתbe.NotH1323of thy peopleעַמְּךָ֔'a.me.KhaH5971,which prophesyהַמִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וֹתha.mit.na.be.'otH5012out of their own heartמִֽלִּבְּהֶ֑ןmi.li.be.HenH3820;and prophesyוְהִנָּבֵ֖אve.hi.na.Ve'H5012thou against them,

18And sayוְאָמַרְתָּ֞ve.'a.mar.TaH559,Thus saithאָמַ֣ר׀'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֗הYah.wehH3069;Woeהוֹי֩hOH1945to the womenthat sewלִֽמְתַפְּר֨וֹתlim.ta.pe.RotH8609pillowsכְּסָת֜וֹתke.sa.TotH3704to all armholesאַצִּילֵ֣י יָדַ֗י'a.tzi.Lei ya.DaiH3027 H679,and makeוְעֹשׂ֧וֹתve.'o.SotH6213kerchiefsהַמִּסְפָּח֛וֹתha.mis.pa.ChotH4555upon the headרֹ֥אשׁroshH7218of every statureקוֹמָ֖הko.MahH6967to huntלְצוֹדֵ֣דle.tzo.DedH6679soulsנְפָשׁ֑וֹתne.fa.ShotH5315!Will ye huntתְּצוֹדֵ֣דְנָהte.tzo.De.de.nahH6679the soulsהַנְּפָשׁוֹת֙ha.ne.fa.shOtH5315of my peopleלְעַמִּ֔יle.'a.MiH5971,and will ye saveH2421the soulsוּנְפָשׁ֖וֹתu.ne.fa.ShotH5315aliveתְחַיֶּֽינָה׃te.chai.Yei.nahH2421that come unto you?

19And will ye polluteוַתְּחַלֶּלְ֨נָהva.te.cha.leL.nahH2490me among my peopleעַמִּ֗י'a.MiH5971for handfulsבְּשַׁעֲלֵ֣יbe.sha.'a.LeiH8168of barleyשְׂעֹרִים֮se.'o.RimH8184and for piecesוּבִפְת֣וֹתֵיu.vif.To.teiH6595of breadלֶחֶם֒le.ChemH3899,to slayלְהָמִ֤יתle.ha.MitH4191the soulsנְפָשׁוֹת֙ne.fa.shOtH5315that should not dieתְמוּתֶ֔נָהte.mu.Te.nahH4191,and to saveH2421the soulsנְפָשׁ֖וֹתne.fa.ShotH5315aliveוּלְחַיּ֥וֹתu.le.chai.YotH2421that should not liveתִֽחְיֶ֑ינָהtich.Yei.nahH2421,by your lyingבְּכַ֨זֶּבְכֶ֔םbe.Kha.zev.KhemH3576to my peopleלְעַמִּ֖יle.'a.MiH5971that hearשֹׁמְעֵ֥יsho.me.'EiH8085yourliesכָזָֽב׃ סkha.ZavH3577?

20Wherefore thus saithאָמַ֣ר׀'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִ֗הYah.wehH3069; Behold, I amagainst your pillowsכִּסְּתוֹתֵיכֶ֙נָה֙ki.se.to.tei.Khe.nahH3704,wherewith yeH859there huntמְצֹדְד֨וֹתme.tzo.de.DotH6679the soulsהַנְּפָשׁוֹת֙ha.ne.fa.shOtH5315to make themflyלְפֹ֣רְח֔וֹתle.Fo.re.ChotH6524,and I will tearוְקָרַעְתִּ֣יve.ka.ra'.TiH7167them from your armsזְרוֹעֹֽתֵיכֶ֑םze.ro.'o.tei.KhemH2220,and will let the soulsהַנְּפָשׁ֔וֹתha.ne.fa.ShotH5315goוְשִׁלַּחְתִּי֙ve.shi.lach.TiH7971, eventhe soulsנְפָשִׁ֖יםne.fa.ShimH5315that ye huntמְצֹדְד֥וֹתme.tzo.de.DotH6679to make themflyלְפֹרְחֹֽת׃le.fo.re.ChotH6524.

21Your kerchiefsמִסְפְּחֹֽתֵיכֶ֗םmis.pe.cho.tei.KhemH4555also will I tearוְקָרַעְתִּ֞יve.ka.ra'.TiH7167,and deliverוְהִצַּלְתִּ֤יve.hi.tzal.TiH5337my peopleעַמִּי֙'a.MiH5971out of your handמִיֶּדְכֶ֔ןmi.yed.KhenH3027,and they shall be no more in your handבְּיֶדְכֶ֖ןbe.yed.KhenH3027to be huntedלִמְצוּדָ֑הlim.tzu.DahH4686;and ye shall knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֖ןvi.da'.TenH3045that I amYhwhיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

22Because with liesשֶׁ֔קֶרShe.kerH8267ye have made the heartלֵב־lev-H3820of the righteousצַדִּיק֙tza.DikH6662sadהַכְא֤וֹתhakh.'otH3512,whom I have not made sadהִכְאַבְתִּ֑יוhikh.'av.TivH3510;and strengthenedוּלְחַזֵּק֙u.le.cha.ZekH2388the handsיְדֵ֣יye.DeiH3027of the wickedהָרָ֖עha.Ra'H7451,that he should not returnשׁ֛וּבshuvH7725from his wickedרָשָׁ֔עra.Sha'H7563wayמִדַּרְכּ֥וֹmi.dar.KoH1870,by promising him lifeלְהַחֲיֹתֽוֹ׃le.ha.cha.yo.ToH2421:
