17Forbearדֹּ֗םDomH1826to cryהֵאָנֵ֣ק׀he.'a.NekH602,makeתַֽעֲשֶׂ֔הta.'a.SehH6213no mourningאֵ֣בֶל'E.velH60for the deadמֵתִים֙me.TimH4191,bindחֲב֣וֹשׁcha.Vo.oshH2280the tire of thine headפְאֵֽרְךָ֙fe.'e.re.KhaH6287upon thee, and put onתָּשִׂ֣יםta.SimH7760thy shoesוּנְעָלֶ֖יךָu.ne.'a.Lei.khaH5275upon thy feetבְּרַגְלֶ֑יךָbe.rag.Lei.khaH7272,and coverתַעְטֶה֙ta'.TehH5844not thylipsשָׂפָ֔םsa.FamH8222,and eatתֹאכֵֽל׃to.KhelH398not the breadוְלֶ֥חֶםve.Le.chemH3899of menאֲנָשִׁ֖ים'a.na.ShimH582.

18So I spakeוָאֲדַבֵּ֤רva.'a.da.BerH1696unto the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971in the morningבַּבֹּ֔קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242:and at evenבָּעָ֑רֶבba.'A.revH6153my wifeאִשְׁתִּ֖י'ish.TiH802diedוַתָּ֥מָתva.Ta.motH4191;and I didוָאַ֥עַשׂva.'A.'asH6213in the morningבַּבֹּ֖קֶרba.Bo.kerH1242as I was commandedצֻוֵּֽיתִי׃tzu.Vei.tiH6680.

19And the peopleהָעָ֑םha.'AmH5971saidוַיֹּאמְר֥וּvai.yo.me.RuH559unto me, Wilt thou not tellתַגִּ֥ידta.GidH5046us what these things areto us, that thou doestעֹשֶֽׂה׃'o.SehH6213so?

20Then I answeredוָאֹמַ֖רva.'o.MarH559them, The wordדְּבַ֨ר־de.Var-H1697of Yhwhיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068came unto me, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

21Speakאֱמֹ֣ר׀'e.MorH559unto the houseלְבֵ֣יתle.VeitH1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478,Thus saithאָמַר֮'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Yhwhיְהוִה֒Yah.wehH3069;Behold, I will profaneמְחַלֵּ֤לme.cha.LelH2490my sanctuaryמִקְדָּשִׁי֙mik.da.ShiH4720,the excellencyגְּא֣וֹןge.'onH1347of your strengthעֻזְּכֶ֔ם'u.ze.KhemH5797,the desireמַחְמַ֥דmach.MadH4261of your eyesעֵֽינֵיכֶ֖ם'ei.nei.KhemH5869,and that which your soulנַפְשְׁכֶ֑םnaf.she.KhemH5315pitiethוּמַחְמַ֣לu.mach.MalH4263;and your sonsוּבְנֵיכֶ֧םu.ve.nei.KhemH1121and your daughtersוּבְנֽוֹתֵיכֶ֛םu.ve.no.tei.KhemH1323whom ye have leftעֲזַבְתֶּ֖ם'a.zav.TemH5800shall fallיִפֹּֽלוּ׃yi.Po.luH5307by the swordבַּחֶ֥רֶבba.Che.revH2719.

23And your tiresוּפְאֵרֵכֶ֣םu.fe.'e.re.KhemH6287shall beupon your headsרָאשֵׁיכֶ֗םra.shei.KhemH7218,and your shoesוְנַֽעֲלֵיכֶם֙ve.na.'a.lei.KhemH5275upon your feetבְּרַגְלֵיכֶ֔םbe.rag.lei.KhemH7272:ye shall not mournתִסְפְּד֖וּtis.pe.DuH5594nor weepתִבְכּ֑וּtiv.KuH1058;but ye shall pine awayוּנְמַקֹּתֶם֙u.ne.ma.ko.TemH4743for your iniquitiesבַּעֲוֹנֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔םba.'a.vo.No.tei.KhemH5771,and mournוּנְהַמְתֶּ֖םu.ne.ham.TemH5098oneאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376toward anotherאָחִֽיו׃'a.ChivH251.

25Also, thou sonבֶן־ven-H1121of manאָדָ֔ם'a.DamH120, shall it not bein the dayבְּי֨וֹםbe.YomH3117when I takeקַחְתִּ֤יkach.TiH3947from them their strengthמָ֣עוּזָּ֔םma.'u.ZamH4581,the joyמְשׂ֖וֹשׂme.SosH4885of their gloryתִּפְאַרְתָּ֑םtif.'ar.TamH8597,the desireמַחְמַ֤דmach.MadH4261of their eyesעֵֽינֵיהֶם֙'ei.nei.HemH5869,and that whereupon they setמַשָּׂ֣אma.Sa'H4853their mindsנַפְשָׁ֔םnaf.ShamH5315,their sonsבְּנֵיהֶ֖םbe.nei.HemH1121and their daughtersוּבְנוֹתֵיהֶֽם׃u.ve.no.tei.HemH1323,

26Thathe that escapethהַפָּלִ֖יטha.pa.LitH6412in that dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117shall comeיָב֥וֹאya.Vo'H935unto thee, to cause theeto hearלְהַשְׁמָע֖וּתle.hash.ma.'UtH2045it with thineearsאָזְנָֽיִם׃'a.ze.Na.yimH241?

27In that dayבַּיּ֣וֹםbai.YomH3117shall thy mouthפִּ֙יךָ֙pi.khaH6310be openedיִפָּ֤תַחyi.Pa.tachH6605to him which is escapedהַפָּלִ֔יטha.pa.LitH6412,and thou shalt speakוּתְדַבֵּ֕רu.te.da.BerH1696,and be no more dumbתֵֽאָלֵ֖םte.'a.LemH481:and thou shalt be a signלְמוֹפֵ֔תle.mo.FetH4159unto them; and they shall knowוְיָדְע֖וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I amYhwhיְהוָֽה׃ סYah.wehH3068.
