Psalms 55:1-17

1 1 2ListenH238 to my prayerH8605, GodH430; And 3do not hideH5956 Yourself from my pleadingH8467.2GiveH7181 Your 4attentionH7181 to me and answerH6030 me; I am restlessH7300 in my 5complaintH7879 and 6 7severelyH1949 distractedH1949,3BecauseH4480 of the voiceH6963 of the enemyH340, BecauseH4480 H6440 of the 8pressureH6125 of the wickedH7563; For they 9bringH4131 downH4131 10troubleH205 upon me And in angerH639 they 11holdH7852 aH7852 grudgeH7852 againstH7852 me.

4My 12heartH3820 isH2342 inH2342 anguishH2342 withinH7130 me, And the terrorsH367 of 13deathH4194 have fallenH5307 upon me.5FearH3374 and 14tremblingH7461 comeH935 upon me, And 15 16horrorH6427 has 17overwhelmedH3680 me.6I saidH559, “OhH4310 H5414, that I hadH5414 wingsH83 like a doveH3123! I would flyH5774 awayH5774 and 18 19beH7931 atH7931 restH7931.7BeholdH2009, I would fleeH5074 farH7368 awayH7368, I would 20spendH3885 my nightsH3885 in the wildernessH4057. SelahH55428I would hurryH2363 to my placeH4655 ofH4655 refugeH4655 From the 21stormyH5584 windH7307 and heavyH5591 galeH5591.”

9ConfuseH1104 them, LordH136, 22divideH6385 their tonguesH3956, For I have seenH7200 23violenceH2555 and strifeH7379 in the cityH5892.10DayH3119 and nightH3915 they goH5437 aroundH5437 her upon her wallsH2346, And evilH205 and harmH5999 are in her midstH7130.11 24DestructionH1942 is in her midstH7130; 25OppressionH8496 and deceitH4820 do not departH4185 from her 26streetsH7339.

12For it is 27not an enemyH340 who tauntsH2778 me, Then I could endureH5375 it; NorH3808 is it one who hatesH8130 me who 28has exaltedH1431 himself againstH5921 me, Then I could hideH5641 myself from him.13But it is you, a manH582 29my equalH6187, My 30companionH441 and my 31confidantH3045;14We whoH834 hadH4985 sweetH4985 32fellowshipH5475 togetherH3164, 33WalkedH1980 in the houseH1004 of GodH430 among the commotionH7285.15May 34deathH4194 come 35deceitfullyH5378 upon them; May they 36goH3381 downH3381 aliveH2416 to 37SheolH7585, For evilH7451 is in their dwellingH4033, in their midstH7130.

16As for me, I shall 38callH7121 upon GodH430, And the LordH3068 will saveH3467 me.17 39EveningH6153 and 40morningH1242 and at 41noonH6672, I will complainH7878 and moanH1993, And He will hearH8085 my voiceH6963.
