20So the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “I have forgivenסָלַ֖חְתִּיsa.Lach.tiH5545themin accordance with your wordכִּדְבָרֶֽךָ׃kid.va.Re.khaH1697;

21howeverוְאוּלָ֖םve.'u.LamH199,as I liveחַי־chai-H2416,allכָּל־kol-H3605the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776will be filledוְיִמָּלֵ֥אve.yi.ma.Le'H4390with the gloryכְבוֹד־khe.Vod-H3519of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068.

22Certainlyכִּ֣יkiH3588allכָל־khol-H3605the peopleH376who have seenהָרֹאִ֤יםha.ro.'ImH7200My gloryכְּבֹדִי֙ke.vo.DiH3519and My signsאֹ֣תֹתַ֔י'o.to.TaiH226whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834I performedעָשִׂ֥יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213in Egyptבְמִצְרַ֖יִםve.mitz.Ra.yimH4714and in the wildernessוּבַמִּדְבָּ֑רu.va.mid.BarH4057, yethave putוַיְנַסּ֣וּvay.na.SuH5254Me toH5254theH5254testH5254theseזֶ֚הzehH2088tenעֶ֣שֶׂר'E.serH6235timesפְּעָמִ֔יםpe.'a.MimH6471and have not listenedשָׁמְע֖וּsha.me.'UH8085to My voiceבְּקוֹלִֽי׃be.ko.LiH6963,

23shall by noH518meansH518seeיִרְאוּ֙yir.'UH7200the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I sworeנִשְׁבַּ֖עְתִּיnish.Ba'.tiH7650to their fathersלַאֲבֹתָ֑םla.'a.vo.TamH1,norלֹ֥אlo'H3808shall anyוְכָל־ve.kholH3605of those who wereH5006disrespectfulH5006to Me seeיִרְאֽוּהָ׃yir.'U.haH7200it.

24But as for My servantוְעַבְדִּ֣יve.'av.DiH5650Calebכָלֵ֗בkha.LevH3612,becauseעֵ֣קֶב'E.kevH6118he has hadהָֽיְתָ֞ה עִמּ֔וֹha.ye.Tah i.MoH1961 H5973a differentאַחֶ֙רֶת֙'a.Che.retH312spiritר֤וּחַRu.achH7307and has followedאַחֲרָ֑י'a.cha.RaiH310Me fullyוַיְמַלֵּ֖אvay.ma.Le'H4390,I will bringוַהֲבִֽיאֹתִ֗יוva.ha.vi.'o.TivH935him into the landהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ha.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834heenteredבָּ֣אba'H935, and hisdescendantsוְזַרְע֖וֹve.zar.'OH2233shall takeיוֹרִשֶֽׁנָּה׃yo.ri.She.nahH3423possessionH3423of it.

25Now the Amalekitesוְהָֽעֲמָלֵקִ֥יve.ha.'a.mal.KiH6003and the Canaanitesוְהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֖יve.ha.ke.na.'a.NiH3669liveיוֹשֵׁ֣בyo.ShevH3427in the valleysבָּעֵ֑מֶקba.'E.mekH6010;turnפְּנ֨וּpe.NuH6437tomorrowמָחָ֗רma.CharH4279and setוּסְע֥וּu.se.'UH5265outH5265for the wildernessהַמִּדְבָּ֖רha.mid.BarH4057by the wayדֶּ֥רֶךְDe.rekhH1870of theRedסֽוּף׃ פSufH5488Seaיַם־yam-H3220.”

26The Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֣רvay.da.BerH1696to Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronאַהֲרֹ֖ן'a.ha.RonH175again, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

27“HowH4970longעַד־'ad-H5704 H4970shall I put upwith thisH2088evilהָֽרָעָה֙ha.ra.'AhH7451congregationלָעֵדָ֤הla.'e.DahH5712whoאֲשֶׁ֛ר'a.SherH834aregrumblingמַלִּינִ֖יםma.li.NimH3885againstעָלָ֑י'a.LaiH5921Me? I have heardשָׁמָֽעְתִּי׃sha.Ma.'e.tiH8085the complaintsתְּלֻנּ֞וֹתte.lu.NotH8519of the sonsבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֗לYis.ra.'ElH3478whichאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834they arevoicingמַלִּינִ֛יםma.li.NimH3885againstעָלַ֖י'a.LaiH5921Me.

28Sayאֱמֹ֣ר'e.MorH559to them, ‘As I liveחַי־chai-H2416,’declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, ‘justH3512asH3512you have spokenדִּבַּרְתֶּ֖םdi.bar.TemH1696in My hearingבְּאָזְנָ֑יbe.'a.ze.NaiH241,soכֵּ֖ןkenH3651I will doאֶֽעֱשֶׂ֥ה'e.'e.SehH6213to you;

29your deadH6297bodiesH6297will fallיִפְּל֨וּyi.pe.LuH5307in thisהַ֠זֶּהHa.zehH2088wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּ֣רba.mid.BarH4057,allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605yournumberedפְּקֻדֵיכֶם֙pe.ku.dei.KhemH6485men according to your completeלְכָל־le.kholH3605numberמִסְפַּרְכֶ֔םmis.par.KhemH4557from twentyעֶשְׂרִ֥ים'es.RimH6242yearsשָׁנָ֖הsha.NahH8141oldמִבֶּ֛ןmi.BenH1121and upwardוָמָ֑עְלָהva.Ma.'e.lahH4605,whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834have grumbledהֲלִֽינֹתֶ֖םha.li.no.TemH3885againstעָלָֽי׃'a.LaiH5921Me.

30By noH518meansH518will you comeתָּבֹ֣אוּta.Vo.'uH935into the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776whereאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834Isworeנָשָׂ֙אתִי֙ יָדִ֔יna.Sa.ti ya.DiH5375 H3027to settleלְשַׁכֵּ֥ןle.sha.KenH7931you,exceptכִּ֚יkiH3588 H518for Calebכָּלֵ֣בka.LevH3612the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Jephunnehיְפֻנֶּ֔הye.fu.NehH3312and Joshuaוִיהוֹשֻׁ֖עַvi.ho.Shu.a'H3091the sonבִּן־bin-H1121of Nunנֽוּן׃NunH5126.

31Your childrenוְטַ֨פְּכֶ֔םve.Ta.pe.KhemH2945,however, whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you saidאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם'a.mar.TemH559would becomeיִהְיֶ֑הyih.YehH1961plunderלָבַ֣זla.VazH957--I will bringוְהֵבֵיאתִ֣יve.he.vei.TiH935them inH935,and they will knowוְיָֽדְעוּ֙ve.ya.de.'UH3045the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you have rejectedמְאַסְתֶּ֖םme.'as.TemH3988.

32But as for you, your deadH6297bodiesH6297will fallיִפְּל֖וּyi.pe.LuH5307in thisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּ֥רba.mid.BarH4057.

33Also, your sonsוּ֠בְנֵיכֶםU.ve.nei.khemH1121will be shepherdsרֹעִ֤יםro.'ImH7462in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּר֙ba.mid.BarH4057forfortyאַרְבָּעִ֣ים'ar.ba.'ImH705yearsשָׁנָ֔הsha.NahH8141, and they willsufferוְנָשְׂא֖וּve.na.se.'UH5375foryour unfaithfulnessזְנוּתֵיכֶ֑םze.nu.tei.KhemH2184,untilעַד־'ad-H5704your bodiesפִּגְרֵיכֶ֖םpig.rei.KhemH6297perishתֹּ֥םtomH8552in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ba.mid.BarH4057.

34In accordance with thenumberבְּמִסְפַּ֨רbe.mis.ParH4557of daysהַיָּמִ֜יםhai.ya.MimH3117that you spiedH8446outH8446the landהָאָרֶץ֮ha.'a.RetzH776,fortyאַרְבָּעִ֣ים'ar.ba.'ImH705daysיוֹם֒yOmH3117,for everyי֣וֹםYomH3117dayי֣וֹםYomH3117you shall sufferתִּשְׂאוּ֙tis.'UH5375the punishmentH5771forH5771yourguiltH5771a yearH8141, that is,fortyאַרְבָּעִ֖ים'ar.ba.'ImH705yearsH8141,and you will knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֖םvi.da'.TemH3045My oppositionתְּנוּאָתִֽי׃te.nu.'a.TiH8569.

35I, the Lordיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068,have spokenדִּבַּרְתִּי֒di.bar.TiH1696,I certainlyאִם־ לֹ֣א׀'im- lo'H518 H3808will doאֶֽעֱשֶׂ֗ה'e.'e.SehH6213thisH2088to allלְכָל־le.kholH3605thisH2088evilהָֽרָעָה֙ha.ra.'AhH7451congregationהָעֵדָ֤הha.'e.DahH5712who are gatheredהַנּוֹעָדִ֖יםha.no.'a.DimH3259togetherH3259againstעָלָ֑י'a.LaiH5921Me. They shall beH8552wornH8552outH8552in thisH2088wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּ֥רba.mid.BarH4057,and thereוְשָׁ֥םve.ShamH8033they shall dieיָמֻֽתוּ׃ya.Mu.tuH4191.’”

36As for the menH376whomאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834Mosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872sentשָׁלַ֥חsha.LachH7971to spyלָת֣וּרla.TurH8446outH8446the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and who returnedוַיָּשֻׁ֗בוּvai.ya.Shu.vuH7725and led allכָּל־kol-H3605the congregationהָ֣עֵדָ֔הha.'e.DahH5712to grumbleוַיַּלִּ֤ינוּvai.yi.lo.nuH3885againstעָלָיו֙'a.LavH5921him by bringingלְהוֹצִ֥יאle.ho.Tzi'H3318a badדִבָּ֖הdi.BahH1681reportH1681aboutעַל־'al-H5921the landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776,

37those menH376who broughtמוֹצִאֵ֥יmo.tzi.'EiH3318the badרָעָ֑הra.'AhH7451reportדִבַּת־di.bat-H1681of the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776also diedוַיָּמֻ֙תוּ֙vai.ya.Mu.tuH4191by aplagueבַּמַּגֵּפָ֖הba.ma.ge.FahH4046in the presenceלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

38But Joshuaוִיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַvi.ho.Shu.a'H3091the sonבִּן־bin-H1121of Nunנ֔וּןNunH5126and Calebוְכָלֵ֖בve.kha.LevH3612the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Jephunnehיְפֻנֶּ֑הye.fu.NehH3312remainedH2421aliveH2421out of thoseהָהֵ֔םha.HemH1992menH376who wentהַֽהֹלְכִ֖יםha.ho.le.KhimH1980to spyלָת֥וּרla.TurH8446outH8446the landהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776.

39Now when Mosesמֹשֶׁה֙mo.ShehH4872spokeוַיְדַבֵּ֤רvay.da.BerH1696theseהָאֵ֔לֶּהha.'E.lehH428wordsהַדְּבָרִ֣יםha.de.va.RimH1697to allכָּל־kol-H3605the sonsבְּנֵ֖יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971mournedוַיִּֽתְאַבְּל֥וּvai.yit.'a.be.LuH56greatlyמְאֹֽד׃me.'OdH3966.
