22“Now the futureהָֽאַחֲר֗וֹןha.'a.cha.RonH314generationהַדּ֣וֹרha.DorH1755,your sonsבְּנֵיכֶם֙be.nei.KhemH1121whoH834riseH6965upH6965afterמֵאַ֣חֲרֵיכֶ֔םme.'A.cha.rei.KhemH4480 H310you andthe foreignerוְהַ֨נָּכְרִ֔יve.Ha.na.khe.RiH5237whoH834comesיָבֹ֖אya.Vo'H935from a distantרְחוֹקָ֑הre.cho.KahH7350landH776,when they seeוְ֠רָאוּVe.ra.'uH7200the plaguesמַכּ֞וֹתma.KotH4347of that landH776and the diseasesתַּ֣חֲלֻאֶ֔יהָta.cha.lu.'Ei.haH8463with whichH834the LordH3068has afflictedחִלָּ֥הchi.LahH2470it, will sayוְאָמַ֞רve.'a.MarH559,

23‘AllH3605its landH776isbrimstoneגָּפְרִ֣יתga.fe.RitH1614and saltוָמֶלַח֮va.me.LachH4417,burnedשְׂרֵפָ֣הse.re.FahH8316debrisH8316,unsownלֹ֤א תִזָּרַע֙lo' ti.za.Ra'H3808 H2232and unproductiveוְלֹ֣א תַצְמִ֔חַve.Lo' tatz.Mi.achH6779 H3808,and noוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808 H3605grassעֵ֑שֶׂב'E.sevH6212growsיַעֲלֶ֥הya.'a.LehH5927on it, like the overthrowכְּֽמַהְפֵּכַ֞תke.mah.pe.KhatH4114ofSodomסְדֹ֤םse.DomH5467and Gomorrahוַעֲמֹרָה֙va.'a.mo.RahH6017,Admahאַדְמָ֣ה'ad.MahH126and Zeboiimוּצְבוֹיִ֔םu.tze.v.yimH6636,whichאֲשֶׁר֙'a.SherH834the LordH3068overthrewהָפַ֣ךְha.FakhH2015in His angerH639and in His wrathוּבַחֲמָתֽוֹ׃u.va.cha.ma.ToH2534.’

24Allכָּל־kol-H3605the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֔םha.go.YimH1471will sayH559, ‘Whyמֶ֨הmehH5921 H4100has the LordH3068doneעָשָׂ֧ה'a.SahH6213allthisכָּ֖כָהKa.khahH3602to thisH2088landH776?Whyמֶ֥הmehH4100thisH2088greatהַגָּד֖וֹלha.ga.DolH1419outburstחֳרִ֛יcho.RiH2750of angerהָאַ֥ףha.'AfH639?’

25Then peoplewill sayוְאָ֣מְר֔וּve.'A.me.RuH559, ‘It isbecauseעַ֚ל'alH5921 H834they abandonedעָֽזְב֔וּ'a.ze.VuH5800the covenantבְּרִ֥יתbe.RitH1285of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,the GodH430of their fathersאֲבֹתָ֑ם'a.vo.TamH1,whichH834He madeכָּרַ֣תka.RatH3772with them when He broughtH3318them outH3318of the landמֵאֶ֥רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃mitz.Ra.yimH4714.

26And they wentוַיֵּלְכ֗וּvai.ye.le.KhuH1980and servedוַיַּֽעַבְדוּ֙vai.ya.'av.DuH5647otherאֲחֵרִ֔ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430and worshipedH2331them, godsאֱלֹהִים֙'E.lo.HimH430that they have not knownיְדָע֔וּםye.da.'UmH3045and whom He had notassignedחָלַ֖קcha.LakH2505to them.

27Therefore, the angerH639of the LordH3068burnedוַיִּֽחַר־vai.yi.char-H2734against that landH776,to bringלְהָבִ֤יאle.ha.Vi'H935upon it everyכָּל־kol-H3605curseהַקְּלָלָ֔הha.ke.la.LahH7045which is writtenהַכְּתוּבָ֖הha.ke.tu.VahH3789in thisH2088bookבַּסֵּ֥פֶרba.Se.ferH5612;

28andthe LordH3068uprootedוַיִּתְּשֵׁ֤םvai.yi.te.ShemH5428them from their landאַדְמָתָ֔ם'ad.ma.TamH127in angerבְּאַ֥ףbe.'AfH639,furyוּבְחֵמָ֖הu.ve.che.MahH2534,and in greatגָּד֑וֹלga.DolH1419wrathוּבְקֶ֣צֶףu.ve.Ke.tzefH7110,and hurledוַיַּשְׁלִכֵ֛םvai.yash.li.KhemH7993them into anotherאַחֶ֖רֶת'a.Che.retH312landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776, as it isthisהַזֶּֽה׃ha.ZehH2088dayכַּיּ֥וֹםkai.YomH3117.’
