Deuteronomy 32:16-43
161They madeH7065 Him jealousH7065 with strangeH2114 gods; 2With abominationsH8441 they provokedH3707 Him to angerH3707.173They sacrificedH2076 to demonsH7700 who were not GodH433, 4To godsH430 whom they have not knownH3045, 5NewH2319 gods who cameH935 latelyH7138, Whom your fathersH1 did not dreadH8175.18You neglectedH7876 6the RockH6697 who begotH3205 you, 7And forgotH7911 the GodH410 who gaveH2342 you birthH2342.
19“8The LordH3068 sawH7200 this, and spurnedH5006 them 9BecauseH4480 of the provocationH3708 of His sonsH1121 and daughtersH1323.20Then He saidH559, ‘I will hideH5641 My faceH6440 from them, 10I will seeH7200 whatH4100 their endH319 shall be; 11For they are a perverseH8419 generationH1755, 12SonsH1121 in whom is noH3808 faithfulnessH529.2113They have madeH7065 Me jealousH7065 with what is not GodH410; They have provokedH3707 Me to angerH3707 with their 1415idolsH1892. 16So I will make them jealousH7065 with those who are not a peopleH5971; I will provokeH3707 them to angerH3707 with a foolishH5036 nationH1471,2217For a fireH784 is kindledH6919 in My angerH639, And burnsH3344 to the lowestH8482 partH8482 of 18SheolH7585, 19And consumesH398 the earthH776 with its yieldH2981, And setsH3857 on fireH3857 the foundationsH4144 of the mountainsH2022.
23‘20I will heapH5595 misfortunesH7463 on them; 21I will useH3615 My arrowsH2671 on them.2422They will be wastedH4198 by famineH7458, and consumedH3898 by 23plagueH7565 24And bitterH4815 destructionH6986; 25And the teethH8127 of beastsH929 I will sendH7971 upon them, 26With the venomH2534 of crawlingH2119 thingsH2119 of the dustH6083.2527OutsideH4480H2351 the swordH2719 will bereaveH7921, And insideH4480H2315 terrorH367-- 28BothH1571 youngH970 manH970 and virginH1330, The nurslingH3243 with the manH376 of grayH7872 hairH7872.26I would have saidH559, “29I will cutH6284 them to piecesH6284, 30I will removeH7673 the memoryH2143 of them from menH582,”27Had I not fearedH1481 the provocationH3708 by the enemyH340, That their adversariesH6862 would misjudgeH5235, That they would sayH559, “31Our handH3027 is 32triumphantH7311, And the LordH3068 has not doneH6466 allH3605 thisH2088.”’
28“33For they are a nationH1471 34lackingH6 in counselH6098, And thereH369 is noH369 understandingH8394 in them.2935WouldH3863 that they were wiseH2449, that they understoodH7919 thisH2088, 36That they would discernH995 their 37futureH319!3038HowH351 could oneH259 chaseH7291 a thousandH505, And twoH8147 putH5127 tenH7233 thousandH7233 to flightH5127, UnlessH518H3808H3588 their 39RockH6697 had soldH4376 them, And the LordH3068 had givenH5462 them up?31IndeedH3588 their rockH6697 is not like our RockH6697, 40Even our enemiesH340 41themselves judgeH6414 this.32For their vineH1612 is from the vineH1612 of SodomH5467, And from the fieldsH7709 of GomorrahH6017; Their grapesH6025 are grapesH6025 of 42poisonH7219, Their clustersH811, bitterH4846.33Their wineH3196 is the venomH2534 of 43serpentsH8577, And the 44deadlyH393 poisonH7219 of cobrasH6620.
34‘45Is it not laidH3647 up in storeH3647 with Me, SealedH2856 up in My treasuriesH214?3546VengeanceH5359 is Mine, and retributionH8005, 47In due timeH6256 their footH7272 will slipH4131; 48For the dayH3117 of their calamityH343 is nearH7138, And the impendingH6264 thingsH6264 are hasteningH2363 upon them.’3649For the LordH3068 will vindicateH1777 His peopleH5971, 50And will haveH5162 compassionH5162 on His servantsH5650, WhenH3588 He seesH7200 that their 51strengthH3027 is goneH235, And thereH657 is noneH657 remaining, bondH6113 or freeH5800.37And He will sayH559, ‘52WhereH335 are their godsH430, The rockH6697 in which they soughtH2620 refugeH2620?3853WhoH834 ateH398 the fatH2459 of their sacrificesH2077, And drankH8354 the wineH3196 of their drinkH5257 offeringH5257? 54Let them riseH6965 up and helpH5826 you, Let them be your hidingH5643 placeH5643!3955SeeH7200 nowH6258 that I, I am He, 56And thereH369 is noH369 godH430 besidesH5973 Me; 57It is I who putH4191 to deathH4191 and giveH2421 lifeH2421. 58I have woundedH4272 and it is I who healH7495, 59And thereH369 is noH369 oneH369 who can deliverH5337 from My handH3027.40IndeedH3588, 60I liftH5375 up My handH3027 to heavenH8064, And sayH559, as I liveH2416 foreverH5769,4161IfH518 I sharpenH8150 My 62flashingH1300 swordH2719, And My handH3027 takesH270 holdH270 on justiceH4941, 63I will renderH7725 vengeanceH5359 on My adversariesH6862, And I will repayH7999 those who hateH8130 Me.4264I will make My arrowsH2671 drunkH7937 with bloodH1818, 65And My swordH2719 will devourH398 fleshH1320, With the bloodH1818 of the slainH2491 and the captivesH7633, From the long-hairedH6546 66leadersH7218 of the enemyH340.’4367RejoiceH7442, O nationsH1471, with His peopleH5971; 68For He will avengeH5358 the bloodH1818 of His servantsH5650, 69And will renderH7725 vengeanceH5359 on His adversariesH6862, 70And will atoneH3722 for His landH127 and His peopleH5971.”
