Deuteronomy 32:16-43
They moved him to jealousyH7065 with strangeH2114 gods, With abominationsH8441 provokedH3707 they him to angerH3707.
They sacrificedH2076 unto demonsH7700, which were noH3808 GodH430, To godsH430 whom they knewH3045 notH3808, To newH2319 godsH430 that cameH935 upH935 of late, Whom your fathersH1 dreaded notH3808.
Of the RockH6697 that begat thee thou art unmindful, And hast forgottenH7911 GodH410 that gaveH3205 thee birthH3205.
And the LORDH3068 sawH7200 it, and abhorred them, BecauseH3708 of the provocation of his sonsH1121 and his daughtersH1323.
And he saidH559, I will hideH5641 my faceH6440 from them, I will seeH7200 whatH4100 their endH319 shall be: For they are a very froward generationH1755, ChildrenH1121 in whom is noH3808 faith.
They have moved meH589 to jealousyH7065 with that whichH1471 is notH3808 GodH410; They have provokedH3707 meH589 to angerH3707 with their vanitiesH1892: And I will move them to jealousyH7065 with thoseH1992 whichH1471 are notH3808 a peopleH5971; I will provokeH3707 them to angerH3707 with a foolishH5036 nationH1471.
For a fireH784 is kindledH6919 in mine angerH639, And burneth unto the lowestH8482 pit, And devoureth the earthH776 with herH398 increaseH2981, And setteth on fireH784 the foundationsH4146 of the mountainsH2022.
I will heapH5595 mischiefs uponH5921 them; I will spendH3615 mine arrowsH2671 uponH5921 them:
They shall be wastedH4198 with hungerH7458, and devoured with burningH2534 heatH2534 And bitterH4815 destructionH6986; And the teethH8127 of beastsH929 will I sendH7971 upon them, With the poisonH2534 of crawling things of the dustH6083.
Without shall the swordH2719 bereaveH7921, And in the chambersH2315 terrorH367; It shall destroyH2719 bothH1571 youngH970 manH376 and virginH1330, The suckling with the manH376 of grayH7872 hairsH7872.
I saidH559, I would scatter them afar, I would make the remembranceH2143 of them to ceaseH7673 from among menH582:
Were it notH3808 that I feared the provocation of the enemyH341, LestH6435 their adversaries should misdeem, LestH6435 they should sayH559, Our handH3027 is exaltedH7311, And the LORDH3068 hath notH3808 doneH6466 allH3605 this.
For they are a nationH1471 void of counselH6098, And there is noH369 understandingH8394 in them.
OhH3863 that they were wiseH2449, that they understoodH995 this, That they would considerH995 their latterH319 endH319!
HowH349 should one chaseH7291 a thousandH505, And twoH8147 putH5127 tenH7233 thousandH505 to flightH5127, ExceptH518 their RockH6697 had soldH4376 them, And the LORDH3068 had deliveredH5462 them upH5462?
For their rockH6697 is notH3808 as our RockH6697, EvenH3588 our enemiesH341 themselves being judgesH6414.
For their vineH1612 is of the vineH1612 of SodomH5467, And of the fieldsH7709 of GomorrahH6017: Their grapesH6025 are grapesH6025 of gallH7219, Their clustersH811 are bitterH4846:
Their wineH3196 is the poisonH7219 of dragons, And the cruelH393 venomH2534 of asps.
Is notH3808 this laidH3647 upH2856 in storeH3647 with meH5978, SealedH2856 upH2856 among my treasuresH214?
VengeanceH5359 is mine, and recompence, At the time when their footH7272 shall slide: For the dayH3117 of their calamityH343 is at handH7138, And the things that are to come upon them shall makeH3588 haste.
For the LORDH3068 shall judgeH1777 his peopleH5971, And repentH5162 himselfH3027 for his servantsH5650; When he seeth that their powerH3027 is goneH235, And there is noneH657 remaining, shutH6113 upH7200 or leftH5800 at large.
And he shall sayH559, WhereH335 are their godsH430, The rockH6697 in which they trusted;
WhichH834 didH834 eatH398 the fatH2459 of their sacrificesH2077, And drankH8354 the wineH3196 of their drinkH8354 offering? LetH1961 them riseH6965 upH6965 and helpH5826 youH834, LetH1961 them be your protection.
SeeH7200 nowH6258 that I, evenH3588 I, am he, And there is noH369 godH430 with meH7200: I killH4191, and I makeH7200 aliveH2421; I have woundedH4272, and I healH7495: And there is noneH369 that canH369 deliverH5337 outH7200 of my handH3027.
For I liftH5375 upH5375 my handH3027 to heavenH8064, And sayH559, As I liveH2416 for everH5769,
IfH518 I whet my glitteringH1300 swordH2719, And mine handH3027 takeH7725 holdH270 on judgmentH4941; I will renderH7725 vengeanceH5359 to mine adversaries, And will recompenseH7725 them that hateH8130 meH7725.
I will makeH7937 mine arrowsH2671 drunkH7937 with bloodH1818, And my swordH2719 shall devourH398 fleshH1320; With the bloodH1818 of the slainH2491 and the captivesH7633, From the headH7218 of the leadersH7218 of the enemyH341.
RejoiceH7442, O ye nationsH1471, with his peopleH5971: For he will avengeH5358 the bloodH1818 of his servantsH5650, And will renderH7725 vengeanceH5359 to his adversaries, And will makeH7725 expiation for his landH127, for his peopleH5971.
