5NeverthelessG235, with mostG4183 of them GodG2316 was not well-pleasedG2106; for 1they were laidG2693 lowG2693 in the wildernessG2048.

6NowG1161 theseG3778 thingsG3778 happenedG1096 as 2examplesG5179 for us, soG1519 that we would not craveG1510G1938 evilG2556 thingsG2556 as 3they alsoG2548 cravedG1937. 7Do not be 4idolatersG1496, as someG5100 of them were; as it is writtenG1125, “5The peopleG2992 satG2523 downG2523 to eatG2068 and drinkG4095, and stoodG450 up to 6playG3815.” 8NorG3366 let us actG4203 immorallyG4203, as 7someG5100 of them 8didG4203, and 9twenty-threeG1501G5140 thousandG5505 fellG4098 in oneG1520 dayG2250. 9NorG3366 let us tryG1598 the LordG2962, as 10someG5100 of them 11didG3985, and were destroyedG622 by the serpentsG3789. 10NorG3366 12grumbleG1111, as someG5100 of them 13didG1111, and 14were destroyedG622 by the 15destroyerG3644. 11NowG1161 theseG3778 thingsG3778 happenedG4819 to them as an 16exampleG5179, and 17they were writtenG1125 for our instructionG3559, upon whomG3739 18the endsG5056 of the agesG165 have comeG2658. 12ThereforeG5620 let him who 19thinksG1380 he standsG2476 takeG991 heedG991 that he does not fallG4098.
