33I did not recognizeG3609Him, but He who sentπέμψαςpempsasG3992me to baptizeβαπτίζεινbaptizeinG907in waterὕδατι,hudatiG5204saidG3004to me, ‘He upon whomὃνhonG3739you seeG3708the SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151descendingκαταβαῖνονkatabainonG2597and remainingμένονmenonG3306upon Him,thisοὗτόςhoutosG3778is the One who baptizesβαπτίζωνbaptizōnG907in the Holyἁγίῳ.hagiōG40SpiritπνεύματιpneumatiG4151.’

34I myselfκἀγὼkagōkaiG1473have seenἑώρακαhe'ōrakaG3708,and have testifiedμεμαρτύρηκαmemarturēkaG3140that thisοὗτόςhoutosG3778isthe SonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of Godθεοῦ.¶theouG2316.”

35AgainπάλινpalinG3825the nextἐπαύριονepaurionG1887dayG1887JohnἸωάννηςIōannēsG2491was standingεἱστήκειheistēkeiG2476with twoδύο.duoG1417of his disciplesμαθητῶνmathētōnG3101,

36and he lookedἐμβλέψαςemblepsasG1689at JesusἸησοῦIēsouG2424as He walkedπεριπατοῦντιperipatountiG4043,and saidλέγει·legeiG3004, “BeholdἴδεideG2396,the LambἀμνὸςamnosG286of Godθεοῦ.theouG2316!”

37The twoδύοduoG1417disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101heardἤκουσανēkousanG191him speakλαλοῦντοςlalountosG2980,and they followedἠκολούθησανēkolouthēsanG190JesusἸησοῦ.¶IēsouG2424.

38And JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424turnedΣτραφεὶςStrapheisG4762and sawθεασάμενοςtheasamenosG2300them followingἀκολουθοῦνταςakolouthountasG190,and saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them,“WhatτίtiG5101do you seekζητεῖτε;zēteiteG2212?”They saidλέγεταιlegetaiG3004to Him, “Rabbiῥαββί,rhabbiG4461(whichὃhoG3739translatedμεθερμηνευόμενονmethermēneuomenonG3177meansG3004Teacherδιδάσκαλε,didaskaleG1320),whereποῦpouG4226are You stayingμένεις;meneisG3306?”

39He saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them,“ComeἔρχεσθεerchestheG2064,and you will seeG3708.”SoοὖνounG3767they cameἦλθανēlthanG2064and sawG3708whereποῦpouG4226He was stayingμένει,meneiG3306;and they stayedἔμεινανemeinanG3306with Him that dayἡμέρανhēmeranG2250,for it was aboutὡςhōsG5613thetenthδεκάτη.dekatēG1182hourὥραhōraG5610.

40OneεἷςheisG1520of the twoδύοduoG1417who heardἀκουσάντωνakousantōnG191JohnἸωάννουIōannouG2491speakand followedἀκολουθησάντωνakolouthēsantōnG190Him, was AndrewἈνδρέαςAndreasG406,SimonΣίμωνοςSimōnosG4613Peter’sΠέτρουPetrouG4074brotherἀδελφὸςadelphosG80.

41He foundΕὑρίσκειHeuriskeiG2147firstπρῶτονprōtonG4413his ownἴδιονidionG2398brotherἀδελφὸνadelphonG80SimonΣίμωναSimōnaG4613and saidλέγειlegeiG3004to him, “We have foundεὑρήκαμενheurēkamenG2147theMessiahΜεσσίαν,MessianG3323” (whichὅhoG3739translatedμεθερμηνευόμενονmethermēneuomenonG3177meansἐστινestinG1510Christχριστός.christosG5547).
