12and from thereG2547toPhilippiΦιλίππους,PhilippousG5375,whichἥτιςhētisG3748is a leadingG4413cityπόλις,polisG4172of the districtμερίδοςmeridosG3310ofMacedoniaΜακεδονίαςMakedoniasG3109, a Romancolonyκολωνία.kolōniaG2862;and we were stayingδιατρίβοντεςdiatribontesG1304in thisταύτῃtautēG3778cityπόλειpoleiG4172for someτινάς.tinasG5100daysἡμέραςhēmerasG2250.
13And onthe SabbathσαββάτωνsabbatōnG4521dayἡμέρᾳhēmeraG2250we wentἐξήλθομενexēlthomenG1831outsideἔξωexōG1854the gateπύληςpulēsG4439to a riversideπαρὰ ποταμὸνpara potamonG3844G4215,whereοὗhouG3757we were supposingG3543that there would be a placeG4335of prayerG4335;and we satG2523downκαθίσαντεςkathisantesG2523and began speakingἐλαλοῦμενelaloumenG2980to the womenγυναιξίν.¶gunaixinG1135who had assembledσυνελθούσαιςsunelthousaisG4905.
14A womanγυνὴgunēG1135namedὀνόματιonomatiG3686LydiaΛυδία,LudiaG3070,from the cityπόλεωςpoleōsG4172ofThyatiraΘυατείρωνThuateirōnG2363,a sellerG4211of purpleG4211fabricsG4211,a worshiperσεβομένηsebomenēG4576of Godθεόν,theonG2316,was listeningἤκουενēkouenG191;and the LordκύριοςkuriosG2962openedδιήνοιξενdiēnoixenG1272her heartκαρδίανkardianG2588to respondπροσέχεινprosecheinG4337to the thingsG2980spokenG2980by PaulΠαύλου.PaulouG3972.
15And whenὡςhōsG5613she andher householdοἶκοςoikosG3624had been baptizedἐβαπτίσθηebaptisthēG907,she urgedπαρεκάλεσενparekalesenG3870us, sayingλέγουσα·legousaG3004, “IfεἰeiG1487you have judgedκεκρίκατέkekrikateG2919me to be faithfulπιστὴνpistēnG4103to the LordκυρίῳkuriōG2962,comeεἰσελθόντεςeiselthontesG1525into my houseοἶκόνoikonG3624and stayμένετε·meneteG3306.”And she prevailedπαρεβιάσατοparebiasatoG3849upon us.
16It happenedἘγένετοEgenetoG1096that as we were goingπορευομένωνporeuomenōnG4198tothe placeG4335of prayerπροσευχήν,proseuchēnG4335,a slave-girlπαιδίσκηνpaidiskēnG3814havingἔχουσανechousanG2192a spiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151of divinationπύθωναputhōnaG4436metὑπαντῆσαιhupantēsaiG5221us, whoἥτιςhētisG3748was bringingπαρεῖχενpareichenG3930her mastersκυρίοιςkurioisG2962muchπολλὴνpollēnG4183profitἐργασίανergasianG2039by fortune-tellingμαντευομένη.manteuomenēG3132.
17FollowingG2628afterG2628PaulΠαύλῳPaulōG3972and us, she kept cryingἔκραζενekrazenG2896out, sayingλέγουσα·legousaG3004, “TheseG3778menἄνθρωποιanthrōpoiG444are bond-servantsδοῦλοιdouloiG1401ofthe MostὑψίστουhupsistouG5310HighG5310GodθεοῦtheouG2316,whoοἵτινεςoitinesG3748are proclaimingκαταγγέλλουσινkatangellousinG2605to youthe wayὁδὸνhodonG3598of salvationσωτηρίας.sōtēriasG4991.”
18She continued doingἐποίειepoieiG4160thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778for manyπολλὰςpollasG4183daysἡμέρας.hēmerasG2250.But PaulΠαῦλοςPaulosG3972was greatlyG1278annoyedG1278,and turnedἐπιστρέψαςepistrepsasG1994and saidG3004to the spiritπνεύματιpneumatiG4151, “I commandπαραγγέλλωparangellōG3853youin the nameὀνόματιonomatiG3686of JesusἸησοῦIēsouG2424ChristΧριστοῦChristouG5547to comeἐξελθεῖνexeltheinG1831out of her!” And it cameἐξῆλθενexēlthenG1831out at that veryG846momentὥρᾳ.hōraG5610.
