Micah 6
Darby Bible
1HearH8085 ye now what Jehovah saith: AriseH6965, contendH7378 before the mountainsH2022, and let the hillsH1389 hearH8085 thy voiceH6963. 2HearH8085, ye mountainsH2022, Jehovah's controversy, and ye, unchanging foundationsH4146 of the earthH776; for Jehovah hath a controversy with his peopleH5971, and he will plead with IsraelH3478. 3O my peopleH5971, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I weariedH3811 thee? testifyH6030 against me. 4For I broughtH5927 thee up out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and redeemedH6299 thee out of the houseH1004 of bondage; and I sentH7971 before thee MosesH4872, AaronH175, and MiriamH4813. 5My peopleH5971, rememberH2142 now what BalakH1111 kingH4428 of MoabH4124 consultedH3289, and what BalaamH1109 the sonH1121 of BeorH1160 answeredH6030 him, from ShittimH7851 unto GilgalH1537, that ye may knowH3045 the righteousnessH6666 of Jehovah. 6Wherewith shall I comeH6923 before Jehovah, bow myself before the highH4791 1GodH430? Shall I comeH6923 before him with burnt-offerings, with calvesH5695 of a yearH8141 old? 7Will Jehovah take pleasureH7521 in thousandsH505 of ramsH352, in tenH7233 thousandsH505 of rivers of oilH8081? Shall I giveH5414 my firstbornH1060 for my transgressionH6588, the fruitH6529 of my body for the sinH2403 of my soulH5315? 8He hath shewn thee, O manH120, what is goodH2896: and what doth Jehovah requireH1875 of thee, but to do justly, and to loveH160 goodness, and to walk humbly with thy 2GodH430? 9Jehovah's voiceH6963 crieth unto the cityH5892, and wisdomH8454 looketh on thy nameH8034. HearH8085 ye the rodH4294, and who hath appointedH3259 it. 10Are there yetH5750 treasuresH214 of wickednessH7562 in the houseH1004 of the wickedH7563, and the scant measureH374 [which is] abominable? 11Shall I be pureH2135 with the unjust balances, and with the bagH3599 of deceitful weightsH68? 12For her richH6223 men are fullH4390 of violenceH2555, and her inhabitantsH3427 speakH1696 liesH8267, and their tongueH3956 is deceitful in their mouthH6310. 13Therefore alsoH1571 will I makeH8074 [thee] sickH2470 in smiting thee; I will makeH8074 [thee] desolateH8074 because of thy sinsH2403. 14Thou shalt eatH398, and not be satisfiedH7646, and thine emptiness [shall remain] in the midstH7130 of thee; and thou shalt take away, and not save; and what thou savest will I giveH5414 up to the swordH2719. 15Thou shalt sowH2232, but thou shalt not reapH7114; thou shalt treadH1869 the olivesH2132, but thou shalt not anointH5480 thee with oilH8081; and newH8492 wineH3196, but shalt not drinkH8354 wineH3196. 16For the statutesH2708 of OmriH6018 are keptH8104, and all the worksH4639 of the houseH1004 of AhabH256; and ye walk in their counselsH4156: that I should makeH5414 thee a desolationH8047, and the inhabitantsH3427 thereof a hissing; and ye shall bearH5375 the reproachH2781 of my peopleH5971.
