Micah 6
1HearH8085 ye now what Jehovah saith: AriseH6965, contendH7378 thou before the mountainsH2022, and let the hillsH1389 hearH8085 thy voiceH6963. 2HearH8085, O ye mountainsH2022, Jehovah’s controversy, and ye enduring foundationsH4146 of the earthH776; for Jehovah hath a controversy with his peopleH5971, and he will contend with IsraelH3478. 3O my peopleH5971, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I weariedH3811 thee? testifyH6030 against me. 4For I broughtH5927 thee up out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and redeemedH6299 thee out of the houseH1004 of bondage; and I sentH7971 before thee MosesH4872, AaronH175, and MiriamH4813. 5O my peopleH5971, rememberH2142 now what BalakH1111 kingH4428 of MoabH4124 devised, and what BalaamH1109 the sonH1121 of BeorH1160 answeredH6030 him; rememberH2142 from ShittimH7851 unto GilgalH1537, that ye may knowH3045 the righteous acts of Jehovah.
6Wherewith shall I comeH6923 before Jehovah, and bow myself before the highH4791 GodH430? shall I comeH6923 before him with burnt-offerings, with calves a yearH8141 old? 7will Jehovah be pleased with thousandsH505 of ramsH352, or with tenH7233 thousandsH505 of rivers of oilH8081? shall I giveH5414 my first-born for my transgressionH6588, the fruitH6529 of my body for the sinH2403 of my soulH5315? 8He hath showed thee, O manH120, what is goodH2896; and what doth Jehovah requireH1875 of thee, but to do justly, and to loveH160 kindness, and to walk humbly with thy GodH430?
9The voiceH6963 of Jehovah crieth unto the cityH5892, and the man of wisdomH8454 will see thy nameH8034: hearH8085 ye the rodH4294, and who hath appointedH3259 it. 10Are there yetH5750 treasuresH214 of wickednessH7562 in the houseH1004 of the wickedH7563, and a scant measureH374 that is abominable? 11Shall I be pureH2135 with wicked balances, and with a bagH3599 of deceitful weightsH68? 12For the richH6223 men thereof are fullH4390 of violenceH2555, and the inhabitantsH3427 thereof have spokenH1696 liesH8267, and their tongueH3956 is deceitful in their mouthH6310. 13Therefore I alsoH1571 have smitten thee with a grievous wound; I have madeH8074 thee desolateH8074 because of thy sinsH2403. 14Thou shalt eatH398, but not be satisfiedH7646; and thy humiliation shall be in the midstH7130 of thee: and thou shalt putH5414 away, but shalt not save; and that which thou savest will I giveH5414 up to the swordH2719. 15Thou shalt sowH2232, but shalt not reapH7114; thou shalt treadH1869 the olivesH2132, but shalt not anointH5480 thee with oilH8081; and the vintage, but shalt not drinkH8354 the wineH3196. 16For the statutesH2708 of OmriH6018 are keptH8104, and all the worksH4639 of the houseH1004 of AhabH256, and ye walk in their counselsH4156; that I may makeH5414 thee a desolationH8047, and the inhabitantsH3427 thereof a hissing: and ye shall bearH5375 the reproachH2781 of my peopleH5971.
