Hosea 13:9-16
9It is thy destruction, O IsraelH3478, that [thou art] against me, against thy helpH5828. 10WhereH834 thenH645 is thy kingH4428, that he may saveH3467 thee in all thy citiesH5892? and thy judgesH8199 of whom thou saidst, GiveH5414 me a kingH4428 and princesH8269? — 11I gaveH5414 thee a kingH4428 in mine angerH639, and tookH3947 him awayH3947 in my wrathH5678. 12The iniquityH5771 of EphraimH669 is bound up; his sinH2403 is laid by in store. 13The pangs of a woman in travail shall comeH935 upon him: he is a sonH1121 not wiseH2450; for at the timeH6256 of the breaking forthH3205 of children, he was not there. 14I will ransomH6299 them from the power of SheolH7585. I will redeemH6299 them from deathH4194: whereH165, O deathH4194, are thy plagues? whereH165, O SheolH7585, is thy destruction? Repentance shall be hidH5641 from mine eyesH5869. 15Though he be fruitful among [his] brethren, an eastH6921 windH7307 shall comeH935, a windH7307 of Jehovah [that] cometh up from the wildernessH4057, and his springH4599 shall become dry, and his fountainH4726 shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasureH214 of all pleasant vesselsH3627. 16Samaria shall bear her guilt; for she hath rebelled against her 1God: they shall fall by the sword; their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.
