Daniel 3:1-18
NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 made an imageH6755 of goldH1722, whose heightH7314 was sixtyH8361 cubitsH521, [and] its breadth sixH8353 cubitsH521; he setH6966 it up in the plain of Dura, in the provinceH4083 of BabylonH895.
And NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 sent to gather together the satrapsH324, the prefectsH5460, and the governorsH6347, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the justices, and all the rulers of the provincesH4083, to comeH858 to the dedicationH2597 of the imageH6755 that NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 had setH6966 up.
ThenH116 the satrapsH324, the prefectsH5460, and the governorsH6347, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the justices, and all the rulers of the provincesH4083, were gatheredH3673 together unto the dedicationH2597 of the imageH6755 that NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 had setH6966 up; and they stoodH6966 before the imageH6755 that NebuchadnezzarH5020 had setH6966 up.
And the herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, [O] peoplesH5972, nationsH524, and languages,
that at what timeH5732 ye hearH8086 the sound of the cornet, pipe, lute, sambuca, psaltery, bagpipe, and all kindsH2178 of music, ye fallH5308 downH5308 and worship the golden imageH6755 that NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 hath setH6966 up;
and whosoever doth not fallH5308 downH5308 and worship shall that same hour be cast into the midstH1459 of a burning fiery furnaceH861.
Therefore at that timeH2166 when all the peoplesH5972 heardH8086 the sound of the cornet, pipe, lute, sambuca, psaltery, and all kindsH2178 of music, all the peoplesH5972, the nationsH524, and the languages fellH5308 downH5308 [and] worshipped the golden imageH6755 that NebuchadnezzarH5020 the kingH4430 had setH6966 up.
Whereupon at that timeH2166 certain ChaldeansH3779 came near, and accused the JewsH3062.
They spoke and saidH560 to the kingH4430 NebuchadnezzarH5020, O kingH4430, liveH2418 for everH5957!
Thou, O kingH4430, hast madeH7761 a decreeH2942, that every manH606 that shall hearH8086 the sound of the cornet, pipe, lute, sambuca, psaltery, and bagpipe, and all kindsH2178 of music, shall fallH5308 downH5308 and worship the golden imageH6755;
and [that] whosoever doth not fallH5308 downH5308 and worship, shall be cast into the midstH1459 of a burning fiery furnaceH861.
There are certain JewsH3062 whom thou hast appointedH4483 over the administrationH5673 of the provinceH4083 of BabylonH895: ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665: these menH1400, O kingH4430, regard thee not; they serve not thy 1godsH426, nor worship the golden imageH6755 that thou hast setH6966 up.
ThenH116 NebuchadnezzarH5020 in rage and fury commanded to bringH858 ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665. ThenH116 were these menH1400 broughtH858 before the kingH4430.
NebuchadnezzarH5020 spoke and saidH560 unto them, Is it of purpose, ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665, that ye serve not my 2godH426, nor worship the golden imageH6755 that I have setH6966 up?
NowH3705 if ye be ready at the timeH5732 that ye hearH8086 the sound of the cornet, pipe, lute, sambuca, psaltery, and bagpipe, and all kindsH2178 of music, to fallH5308 downH5308 and worship the imageH6755 that I have made, [well]: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast that same hour into the midstH1459 of a burning fiery furnaceH861: and who is the 3GodH426 that shall deliverH7804 you out of my handsH3028?
ShadrachH7715, MeshachH4336, and Abed-negoH5665 answered and saidH560 to the kingH4430, O NebuchadnezzarH5020, we have no need to answer thee in this matter.
If it be [so], our 4GodH426 whom we serve is ableH3202 to deliverH7804 us from the burning fiery furnaceH861, and he will deliverH7804 [us] out of thy handH3028, O kingH4430.
But if not, be it knownH3046 unto thee, O kingH4430, that we will not serve thy 5godsH426, nor worship the golden imageH6755 that thou hast setH6966 up.
