Thessalonians 5:1-10
But concerningG4012 the timesG2540 and the seasonsG2540, brethren, ye have no needG5532 that ye should be writtenG1125 to,
for ye know perfectly well yourselves, that the dayG2250 of [the] LordG2962 soG3779 comesG2064 as a thiefG2812 by nightG3571.
WhenG3752 they may sayG3004, PeaceG1515 and safety, then sudden destructionG3639 comes upon them, as travail upon her that is with child; and they shall in no wise escapeG1628.
But ye, brethren, areG1510 not in darknessG4655, that the dayG2250 should overtake you as a thiefG2812:
for all ye areG1510 sonsG5207 of lightG5457 and sonsG5207 of dayG2250; we areG1510 not of nightG3571 nor of darknessG4655.
So then do not let us sleepG2518 as the restG3062 do, but let us watchG1127 and be soberG3525;
for they that sleepG2518 sleepG2518 by nightG3571, and they that drink drink by nightG3571;
but we beingG1510 of [the] dayG2250, let us beG1510 soberG3525, putting on [the] breastplateG2382 of faithG4102 and loveG26, and as helmetG4030 [the] hopeG1680 of salvationG4991;
because 1GodG2316 has not setG5087 us for wrathG3709, but for obtainingG4047 salvationG4991 through our LordG2962 JesusG2424 ChristG5547,
who has diedG599 for us, that whether we may be watchingG1127 or sleepG2518, we may liveG2198 togetherG260 with him.
