Thessalonians 2:3-10
For our exhortationG3874 [was] not of deceitG1388, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile;
but even as we have been approved of 1GodG2316 to have the glad tidings entrustedG4100 to us, so we speakG2980; not as pleasingG700 menG444, but 2GodG2316, who proves our heartsG2588.
For we have not at any timeG4218 been [among you] with flattering discourse, even as ye know, nor with a pretextG4392 for covetousnessG4124, 3GodG2316 [is] witnessG3144;
nor seekingG2212 gloryG1391 from menG444, neither from you nor from othersG243, whenG5613 we might have beenG1510 a charge as Christ's apostlesG652;
but have beenG1510 gentle in the midstG3319 of you, as a nurse would cherish her ownG1438 childrenG5043.
ThusG3779, yearning over you, we had found our delight in having imparted to you not onlyG3440 the glad tidings of 4GodG2316, but our ownG1438 livesG5590 alsoG2532, because ye had becomeG1096 belovedG27 of us.
For ye rememberG3421, brethren, our labour and toil: working nightG3571 and dayG2250, not to be chargeable to any oneG5100 of you, we have preachedG2784 to you the glad tidings of 5GodG2316.
Ye [are] witnessesG3144, and 6GodG2316, howG5613 piously and righteouslyG1346 and blamelessly we have conducted ourselves with you that believeG4100:
