Darby Bible
Peter 2:1-10
Laying asideG659 thereforeG3767 all maliceG2549 and all guile and hypocrisies and envyings and all evilG2549 speakings,
as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milkG1051 of the word, that by it ye may growG837 up to salvationG4991,
if indeed ye have tastedG1089 that the LordG2962 [is] goodG5543.
To whom comingG4334, a livingG2198 stoneG3037, cast away indeedG3303 as worthless by menG444, but with 1GodG2316 chosen, preciousG1784,
yourselves alsoG2532, as livingG2198 stonesG3037, are being builtG3618 up a spiritualG4152 houseG3624, a holyG40 priesthoodG2406, to offerG399 spiritualG4152 sacrificesG2378 acceptableG2144 to 2GodG2316 by JesusG2424 ChristG5547.
Because it is contained in the scriptureG1124: BeholdG2400, I lay in ZionG4622 a corner stoneG3037, electG1588, preciousG1784: and he that believesG4100 on him shall not be putG5087 to shameG2617.
To you thereforeG3767 who believeG4100 [is] the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stoneG3037 which the builders cast away as worthless, this is becomeG1096 headG2776 of [the] cornerG1137,
and a stoneG3037 of stumbling and rockG4073 of offence; [who] stumble at the wordG3056, being disobedientG544 to which alsoG2532 they have been appointedG5087.
But ye [are] a chosen raceG1085, a kingly priesthoodG2406, a holyG40 nationG1484, a peopleG2992 for a possessionG4047, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has calledG2564 you out of darknessG4655 to his wonderful lightG5457;
who onceG4218 [were] not a peopleG2992, but nowG1161 3God's peopleG2992; who were not enjoying mercyG1653, but nowG1161 have found mercyG1653.
