1And DavidH1732 assembledH6950 all the princesH8269 of IsraelH3478, the princesH8269 of the tribesH7626, and the princesH8269 of the divisionsH4256 that ministered to the kingH4428, and the captains over thousandsH505, and the captains over hundredsH3967, and the comptrollers of all the substance and possessionsH7399 of the kingH4428 and of his sonsH1121, with the chamberlains, and the mightyH1368 menH1368, and all the menH1368 of valour, unto JerusalemH3389. 2And kingH4428 DavidH1732 stoodH6965 up upon his feetH7272, and saidH559, HearH8085 me, my brethren and my peopleH5971! I had in my heartH3824 to buildH1129 a houseH1004 of restH4496 for the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of Jehovah and for the footstool of our 1GodH430, and I have preparedH3559 to buildH1129. 3But 2GodH430 saidH559 to me, Thou shalt not buildH1129 a houseH1004 unto my nameH8034, for thou art a manH376 of warH4421, and hast shedH8210 bloodH1818. 4And Jehovah the 3GodH430 of IsraelH3478 choseH977 me out of all the houseH1004 of my fatherH1 to beH1961 kingH4428 over IsraelH3478 for everH5769; for he has chosenH977 JudahH3063 to beH1961 the princeH5057; and of the houseH1004 of JudahH3063, the houseH1004 of my fatherH1; and among the sonsH1121 of my fatherH1 he took pleasureH7521 in me to make me kingH4428 over all IsraelH3478; 5and of all my sonsH1121, (for Jehovah has givenH5414 me manyH7227 sonsH1121,) he has chosenH977 SolomonH8010 my sonH1121 to sitH3427 upon the throneH3678 of the kingdomH4438 of Jehovah over IsraelH3478. 6And he saidH559 to me, SolomonH8010 thy sonH1121, he shall buildH1129 my houseH1004 and my courts; for I have chosenH977 him to beH1961 my sonH1121, and I will beH1961 his fatherH1. 7And I will establishH3559 his kingdomH4438 for everH5769, if he be firm to do my commandmentsH4687 and mine ordinancesH4941, as at this dayH3117. 8And nowH6258 in the sight of all IsraelH3478, the congregation of Jehovah, and in the audience of our 4GodH430, — keepH8104 and seekH1875 for all the commandmentsH4687 of Jehovah your 5GodH430; that ye may possessH3423 the goodH2896 landH776, and leave it as an inheritanceH5157 to your children after you for everH5769. 9And thou, SolomonH8010 my sonH1121, knowH3045 the 6GodH430 of thy fatherH1, and serveH5647 him with a perfectH8003 heartH3820 and with a willing mind; for Jehovah searchesH1875 all heartsH3820, and discerns all the imaginations of the thoughtsH4284. If thou seekH1875 him, he will be foundH4672 of thee; but if thou forsakeH5800 him, he will cut thee off for everH5703. 10ConsiderH7200 nowH6258, that Jehovah has chosenH977 thee to buildH1129 a houseH1004 for the sanctuaryH4720: be strongH2388, and do [it]. 11And DavidH1732 gaveH5414 to SolomonH8010 his sonH1121 the patternH8403 of the porchH197, and of its housesH1004, and of its treasuries, and of its upperH5944 chambersH2315, and of its innerH6442 chambersH2315, and of the houseH1004 of the mercy-seat; 12and the patternH8403 of all that he had by the SpiritH7307, of the courts of the houseH1004 of Jehovah, and of all the chambers roundH5439 about, for the treasuriesH214 of the houseH1004 of 7GodH430, and for the treasuriesH214 of the dedicated thingsH6944; 13and for the courses of the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881, and for all the workH4399 of the serviceH5656 of the houseH1004 of Jehovah, and for all the instrumentsH3627 of serviceH5656 in the houseH1004 of Jehovah: 14goldH2091 by weightH4948 for [things] of goldH2091, for all utensilsH3627 of each kind of serviceH5656; for all utensilsH3627 of silverH3701, by weightH4948, for all utensilsH3627 of each kind of serviceH5656; 15and the weightH4948 of the golden candlesticks, and of their golden lampsH5216, by weightH4948 for every candlestick, and for its lampsH5216; and for the silverH3701 candlesticks, by weightH4948, for the candlestick and for its lampsH5216, according to the use of every candlestick; 16and goldH2091 by weightH4948 for the tablesH7979 of the [loaves] to be set in rowsH4635, for every tableH7979; and silverH3701 for the tablesH7979 of silverH3701; 17and pureH2889 goldH2091 for the forks, and the bowlsH4219, and the goblets; and for the golden basons by weightH4948 for every bason; and for the silverH3701 basons by weightH4948 for every bason; 18and for the altarH4196 of incenseH7004, refinedH2212 goldH2091 by weightH4948; and the patternH8403 of the chariotH4818 of the cherubimH3742 of goldH2091, which spreadH6566 out [their wings] and cover the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of Jehovah. 19All this [said David,] in writing, by Jehovah's handH3027 upon me, instructing as to all the works of the patternH8403. 20And DavidH1732 saidH559 to SolomonH8010 his sonH1121, Be strongH2388 and courageousH553, and do it; fearH3372 not nor be dismayedH2865: for Jehovah Elohim, my 8GodH430, will be with thee; he will not leaveH5800 thee, neither forsakeH5800 thee, until all the workH4399 for the serviceH5656 of the houseH1004 of Jehovah is finishedH3615. 21And behold, the courses of the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881 are for all the serviceH5656 of the houseH1004 of 9GodH430; and thou hast with thee for all mannerH1697 of workmanshipH4399 every willingH5081 man, skilful for every sort of serviceH5656; and the princesH8269 and all the peopleH5971 are wholly at thy commandment.
