Isaiah 33:1-14 1 Woe ה֣וֹי Ho H1945 to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and that dealest treacherously H898 , and they dealt H898 not treacherously H898 with thee! When thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; when thou shalt make H8552 an end H8552 of dealing treacherously H898 , they shall deal H898 treacherously H898 with thee. 2 Jehovah , be הֱיֵ֤ה he.Yeh H1961 gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be H1961 their arm H2220 every morning H1242 , yea, our salvation יְשׁוּעָתֵ֖נוּ ye.shu.'a.Te.nu H3444 in the time בְּעֵ֥ת be.'Et H6256 of trouble H6869 . 3 At the noise of the tumult הָמ֔וֹן ha.Mon H1995 the peoples H5971 fled נָדְד֖וּ na.de.Du H5074 ; at the lifting up of thyself the nations גּוֹיִֽם׃ go.Yim H1471 were scattered H5310 . 4 And your spoil H7998 shall be gathered וְאֻסַּ֣ף ve.'u.Saf H622 [like] the gathering אֹ֖סֶף 'O.sef H625 of the caterpillar : as the running of locusts shall they run upon it . 5 Jehovah is exalted נִשְׂגָּ֣ב nis.Gav H7682 ; for he dwelleth on high מָר֑וֹם ma.Rom H4791 : he hath filled מִלֵּ֣א mi.Le' H4390 Zion צִיּ֔וֹן tzi.Yon H6726 with justice מִשְׁפָּ֖ט mish.Pat H4941 and righteousness וּצְדָקָֽה׃ u.tze.da.Kah H6666 ; 6 and he shall be וְהָיָה֙ ve.ha.Yah H1961 the stability of thy times H6256 , the riches of salvation H3444 , wisdom חָכְמַ֣ת cha.khe.Mat H2451 and knowledge וָדָ֑עַת va.Da.'at H1847 : the fear יִרְאַ֥ת yir.'At H3374 of Jehovah shall be H1961 your treasure אוֹצָרֽוֹ׃ ס 'o.tza.Ro H214 . 7 Behold , their valiant ones cry H6817 without; the messengers מַלְאֲכֵ֣י mal.'a.Khei H4397 of peace שָׁל֔וֹם sha.Lom H7965 weep יִבְכָּיֽוּן׃ yiv.ka.Yun H1058 bitterly . 8 The highways מְסִלּ֔וֹת me.si.Lot H4546 are desolate נָשַׁ֣מּוּ na.Sha.mu H8074 , the wayfaring man ceaseth. He hath broken H6565 the covenant בְּרִית֙ be.Rit H1285 , he hath despised the cities עָרִ֔ים 'a.Rim H5892 , he regardeth no man . 9 The land אָ֔רֶץ 'A.retz H776 mourneth, it languisheth; Lebanon לְבָנ֖וֹן le.va.Non H3844 is ashamed , is withered H535 ; the Sharon הַשָּׁרוֹן֙ ha.sha.rOn H8289 is become הָיָ֤ה ha.Yah H1961 as a desert כָּֽעֲרָבָ֔ה ka.'a.ra.Vah H6160 , and Bashan בָּשָׁ֖ן ba.Shan H1316 and Carmel וְכַרְמֶֽל׃ ve.khar.Mel H3760 are stripped. 10 Now עַתָּ֥ה 'a.Tah H6258 will I arise אָק֖וּם 'a.Kum H6965 , saith Jehovah ; now עַתָּה֙ 'a.Tah H6258 will I be exalted אֵֽרוֹמָ֔ם 'e.ro.Mam H7311 , now עַתָּ֖ה 'a.Tah H6258 will I lift אֶנָּשֵֽׂא׃ 'e.na.Se' H5375 up myself. 13 Hear שִׁמְע֥וּ shim.'U H8085 , ye that are far H7350 off , what I have done ; and ye that are near , acknowledge my might . 14 The sinners חַטָּאִ֔ים cha.ta.'Im H2400 in Zion בְצִיּוֹן֙ ve.tzi.yOn H6726 are afraid H6342 ; trembling hath surprised the hypocrites: Who among us shall dwell with the consuming H398 fire אֵ֚שׁ 'esh H784 ? who among us shall dwell with everlasting flames?
