Numbers 6
(Judges 13:1–25)
1And the LORDH3068H413 saidH1696 to MosesH4872H559, 2“SpeakH1696 toH413 the IsraelitesH1121H3478 and tellH559 them thatH413 ifH3588 a manH376 orH176 womanH802 makes a specialH6381 vowH5087, the vowH5088 of a NaziriteH5139,1 to separate himselfH5144 to the LORDH3068, 3he is to abstainH5144 from wineH3196 and strong drinkH7941. He must notH3808 drinkH8354 vinegarH2558 made from wineH3196H2558 or strong drinkH7941, and he must notH3808 drinkH8354 anyH3605 grapeH6025 juiceH4952 or eatH398 freshH3892 grapesH6025 or raisinsH3002H3808. 4AllH3605 the daysH3117 of his separationH5145, he is notH3808 to eatH398 anything that comes fromH6213 the grapevineH1612H3196, not even the seedsH2785 orH5704 skinsH2085.
5For the entireH3605 periodH3117 of his vowH5088 of separationH5145, noH3808 razorH8593 shall touchH5674H5921 his headH7218. He must beH1961 holyH6918 untilH5704 the timeH3117 ofH834 his separationH5144 to the LORDH3068 is completeH4390; he must let the hairH8181 of his headH7218 growH1431 longH6545.
6ThroughoutH3605 the daysH3117 of his separationH5144 to the LORDH3068, he must notH3808 goH935 nearH5921 a deadH4191 bodyH5315. 7Even if his fatherH1 or motherH517 or brotherH251 or sisterH269 should dieH4194, he is notH3808 to defile himselfH2930, becauseH3588 the symbol of consecrationH5145 to his GodH430 is uponH5921 his headH7218. 8Throughout the timeH3605H3117 of his separationH5145, heH1931 is holyH6918 to the LORDH3068.
9IfH3588 someone suddenlyH6621H6597 diesH4191 in his presenceH5921 and defilesH2930 his consecrated headH7218 of hairH5145, he must shaveH1548 his headH7218 on the dayH3117 of his cleansingH2893—the seventhH7637 dayH3117. 10On the eighthH8066 dayH3117 he must bringH935 twoH8147 turtledovesH8449 orH176 twoH8147 youngH1121 pigeonsH3123 toH413 the priestH3548 atH413 the entranceH6607 to the TentH168 of MeetingH4150. 11And the priestH3548 is to offerH6213 oneH259 as a sin offeringH24032 and the otherH259 as a burnt offeringH5930 to make atonementH3722 for himH5921, becauseH834 he has sinnedH2398 by being in the presenceH5921 of the dead bodyH5315. On thatH1931 dayH3117 he must consecrateH6942 his head againH7218. 12He must rededicateH5144 his timeH3117 of separationH5145 to the LORDH3068 and bringH935 a year-oldH1121H8141 male lambH3532 as a guilt offeringH817. But the precedingH7223 daysH3117 shall not be countedH5307, becauseH3588 his separationH5145 was defiledH2930.
13Now thisH2063 is the lawH8451 of the NaziriteH5139 whenH3117 his timeH3117 of separationH5145 is completeH4390: He must be broughtH935 toH413 the entranceH6607 to the TentH168 of MeetingH4150, 14and he is to presentH7126 an offeringH7133 to the LORDH3068 of anH259 unblemishedH8549 year-oldH1121H8141 male lambH3532 as a burnt offeringH5930, anH259 unblemishedH8549 year-oldH1323H8141 female lambH3535 as a sin offeringH2403, and anH259 unblemishedH8549 ramH352 as a peace offeringH8002— 15together with their grain offeringsH4503 and drink offeringsH5262—and a basketH5536 of unleavenedH4682 cakesH2471 made from fine flourH5560 mixedH1101 with oilH8081 and unleavenedH4682 wafersH7550 coatedH4886 with oilH8081.
16The priestH3548 is to present all theseH7126 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 and makeH6213 the sin offeringH2403 andH853 the burnt offeringH5930. 17He shall also offerH6213 the ramH352 as a peace offeringH2077H8002 to the LORDH3068, along withH5921 the basketH5536 of unleavened breadH4682. And the priestH3548 is to offerH6213 the accompanying grain offeringH4503 and drink offeringH5262.
18Then at the entranceH6607 to the TentH168 of MeetingH4150, the NaziriteH5139 is to shaveH1548 his consecratedH5145 headH7218, takeH3947 the hairH8181, and putH5414 it onH5921 the fireH784 underH8478 the peace offeringH2077H8002. 19And the priestH3548 is to takeH3947 the boiledH1311 shoulderH2220 fromH4480 the ramH352, oneH259 unleavenedH4682 cakeH2471 fromH4480 the basketH5536, and oneH259 unleavenedH4682 waferH7550, and put themH5414 intoH5921 the handsH3709 of the NaziriteH5139 who has justH310 shavedH1548 the hair of his consecrationH5145. 20The priestH3548 shall then waveH5130 themH853 as a wave offeringH8573 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068. ThisH1931 is a holyH6944 portion for the priestH3548, in addition toH5921 the breastH2373 of the wave offeringH8573H5921 and the thighH7785 that was presentedH8641. After thatH310, the NaziriteH5139 may drinkH8354 wineH3196.
21ThisH2063 is the lawH8451 of the NaziriteH5139 whoH834 vowsH5087 his offeringH7133 to the LORDH3068 forH5921 his separationH5145, in addition toH905 whatever elseH834 he can affordH5381H3027H6310; he must fulfillH6213 whateverH834 vowH5088 he makesH5087, according toH3651H5921 the lawH8451 of his separationH5145.”
Aaron’s Blessing
22Then the LORDH3068 saidH1696 toH413 MosesH4872H559, 23“TellH1696H413 AaronH175H413 and his sonsH1121: This is how you are to blessH1288 the IsraelitesH1121H3478. SayH559 to them:
27So they shall putH7760 My nameH8034 onH5921 the IsraelitesH1121H3478, and IH589 will bless themH1288.”
