Deuteronomy 8:16-20

16He fed youH398 in the wildernessH4057 with mannaH4478 thatH834 your fathersH1 had notH3808 knownH3045, in order toH4616 humble youH6031H4616 and test youH5254, so that in the endH319 He might cause you to prosperH3190.

17You might sayH559 in your heartH3824, “The powerH3581 and strengthH6108 of my handsH3027 have madeH6213 thisH2088 wealthH2428 for me.” 18But rememberH2142 that it is the LORDH3068 your GodH430H3588 who givesH5414 you the powerH3581 to gainH6213 wealthH2428, in order toH4616 confirmH6965 His covenantH1285 thatH834 He sworeH7650 to your fathersH1 even to thisH2088 dayH3117.

IfH518 you ever forgetH7911 the LORDH3068 your GodH430 and goH1980 afterH310 otherH312 godsH430 to worshipH5647 and bow downH7812 to them, I testifyH5749 against you todayH3117 thatH3588 you will surely perishH6. 20Like the nationsH1471 thatH834 the LORDH3068 has destroyedH6 before youH6440, soH3651 you will perishH6H6118 if you do notH3808 obeyH8085H6963 the LORDH3068 your GodH430.
