25Ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588your brotherאָחִ֔יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251becomes impoverishedיָמ֣וּךְya.MukhH4134and sellsוּמָכַ֖רu.ma.KharH4376some of his propertyמֵאֲחֻזָּת֑וֹme.'a.chu.za.ToH272,his nearestהַקָּרֹ֣ב אֵלָ֔יוha.ka.Ro 'e.LavH7138 H413of kinגֹֽאֲלוֹ֙go.'a.LoH1350may comeוּבָ֤אu.Va'H935and redeemוְגָאַ֕לve.ga.'AlH1350אֵ֖ת'etH853what his brotherאָחִֽיו׃'a.ChivH251has soldמִמְכַּ֥רmi.KarH4465.

26Or ifכִּ֛יkiH3588a manוְאִ֕ישׁve.'IshH376hasיִֽהְיֶה־yih.yeh-H1961no oneלֹ֥אlo'H3808to redeem itגֹּאֵ֑לgo.'ElH1350for him,but he prospersוְהִשִּׂ֣יגָה יָד֔וֹve.hi.Si.gah ya.DoH5381 H3027and acquiresוּמָצָ֖אu.ma.Tza'H4672enoughכְּדֵ֥יke.DeiH1767to redeem his landגְאֻלָּתֽוֹ׃ge.'u.la.ToH1353,

27he shall calculateוְחִשַּׁב֙ve.chi.ShavH2803אֶת־'et-H853the yearsשְׁנֵ֣יshe.NeiH8141since its saleמִמְכָּר֔וֹmi.ka.RoH4465,repayוְהֵשִׁיב֙ve.he.ShivH7725אֶת־'et-H853the balanceהָ֣עֹדֵ֔ףha.'o.DefH5736to the manלָאִ֖ישׁla.'IshH376towhomאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834he sold itמָֽכַר־ma.khar-H4376,and returnוְשָׁ֖בve.ShavH7725to his propertyלַאֲחֻזָּתֽוֹ׃la.'a.chu.za.ToH272.

28But ifוְאִ֨םve.'ImH518he cannotלֹֽא־lo'-H3808obtainמָֽצְאָ֜ה יָד֗וֹma.tze.'Ah ya.DoH4672 H3027enoughדֵּי֮deiH1767to repayהָשִׁ֣יבha.ShivH7725him,what he soldמִמְכָּר֗וֹmi.ka.RoH4465will remainוְהָיָ֣הve.ha.YahH1961in possessionבְּיַד֙be.YadH3027of the buyerהַקֹּנֶ֣הha.ko.NehH7069אֹת֔וֹ'o.ToH853untilעַ֖ד'adH5704the Yearשְׁנַ֣תshe.NatH8141of Jubileeהַיּוֹבֵ֑לhai.yo.VelH3104.In the Jubileeבַּיֹּבֵ֔לbai.yo.VelH3104,however, it is to be releasedוְיָצָא֙ve.ya.Tza'H3318,so that he may returnוְשָׁ֖בve.ShavH7725to his propertyלַאֲחֻזָּתֽוֹ׃la.'a.chu.za.ToH272.

29Ifכִּֽי־ki-H3588a manוְאִ֗ישׁve.'IshH376sellsיִמְכֹּ֤רyim.KorH4376a houseבֵּית־ מוֹשַׁב֙beit- mo.ShavH1004 H4186in a walledחוֹמָ֔הcho.MahH2346cityעִ֣יר'irH5892,he retainsוְהָיְתָה֙ve.hay.TahH1961his right of redemptionגְּאֻלָּת֔וֹge.'u.la.ToH1353untilעַד־'ad-H5704a fullתֹּ֖םtomH8552yearשְׁנַ֣תshe.NatH8141after its saleמִמְכָּר֑וֹmi.ka.RoH4465;during that yearיָמִ֖יםya.MimH3117it may beתִּהְיֶ֥הtih.YehH1961redeemedגְאֻלָּתֽוֹ׃ge.'u.la.ToH1353.

30Ifוְאִ֣םve.'ImH518it is notH3808redeemedיִגָּאֵ֗לyi.ga.'ElH1350by the endעַד־ מְלֹ֣את'ad- me.LotH5704 H4390ofa fullתְמִימָה֒ וְ֠קָםte.mi.Mah Ve.komH8549 H6965yearשָׁנָ֣הsha.NahH8141,then the houseהַבַּ֨יִתha.Ba.yitH1004אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834in the walledחֹמָ֗הcho.MahH2346cityבָּעִ֜ירba.'IrH5892אֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834H3808is permanentlyלַצְּמִיתֻ֛תla.tze.mi.TutH6783transferred to its buyerלַקֹּנֶ֥הla.ko.NehH7069אֹת֖וֹ'o.ToH853and his descendantsלְדֹרֹתָ֑יוle.do.ro.TavH1755.It is notH3808to be releasedיֵצֵ֖אye.Tze'H3318in the Jubileeבַּיֹּבֵֽל׃bai.yo.VelH3104.

31But housesוּבָתֵּ֣יu.va.TeiH1004in villagesהַחֲצֵרִ֗יםha.cha.tze.RimH2691withאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834noאֵין־'ein-H369wallsחֹמָה֙cho.MahH2346around themסָבִ֔יב עַל־sa.Viv 'al-H5439 H5921are to be consideredיֵחָשֵׁ֑בye.cha.ShevH2803as open fieldsשְׂדֵ֥ה הָאָ֖רֶץse.Deh ha.'A.retzH7704 H776.They may be redeemedגְּאֻלָּה֙ge.'u.LahH1353,and they shall beתִּהְיֶה־tih.yeh-H1961releasedיֵצֵֽא׃ye.Tze'H3318in the Jubileeוּבַיֹּבֵ֖לu.vai.yo.VelH3104.

32As for the citiesוְעָרֵי֙ve.'a.ReiH5892of the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881,the Levitesלַלְוִיִּֽם׃lal.vi.YimH3881alwaysעוֹלָ֖םo.LamH5769haveתִּהְיֶ֥הtih.YehH1961the right to redeemגְּאֻלַּ֥תge.'u.LatH1353their housesבָּתֵּ֖יba.TeiH1004in the citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892they possessאֲחֻזָּתָ֑ם'a.chu.za.TamH272.

33So whateverוַאֲשֶׁ֤רva.'a.SherH834belongs toמִן־min-H4480the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֔םhal.vi.YimH3881may be redeemedיִגְאַל֙yig.'AlH1350—a houseבַּ֛יִתBa.yitH1004soldמִמְכַּר־mi.kar-H4465in a cityוְעִ֥ירve.'IrH5892they possessאֲחֻזָּת֖וֹ'a.chu.za.ToH272—and must be releasedוְיָצָ֧אve.ya.Tza'H3318in the Jubileeבַּיֹּבֵ֑לbai.yo.VelH3104,becauseכִּ֣יkiH3588the housesבָתֵּ֞י הִ֚ואva.Tei hi'H1004 H1931in the citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of the Levitesהַלְוִיִּ֗םhal.vi.YimH3881are their possessionאֲחֻזָּתָ֔ם'a.chu.za.TamH272amongבְּת֖וֹךְbe.TokhH8432the Israelitesבְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃be.Nei Yis.ra.'ElH1121 H3478.

34But the openוּֽשְׂדֵ֛הu.se.DehH7704pasturelandמִגְרַ֥שׁmig.RashH4054around their citiesעָרֵיהֶ֖ם'a.rei.HemH5892may notלֹ֣אlo'H3808be soldיִמָּכֵ֑רyi.ma.KherH4376,forכִּֽי־ki-H3588thisה֖וּאhu'H1931is theirpermanentעוֹלָ֛םo.LamH5769possessionאֲחֻזַּ֥ת'a.chu.ZatH272.

35Now ifוְכִֽי־ve.khi-H3588your countrymanאָחִ֔יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251becomes destituteיָמ֣וּךְya.MukhH4134and cannot support himselfוּמָ֥טָה יָד֖וֹu.Ma.tah ya.DoH4131 H3027among youעִמָּ֑ךְ'i.MakhH5973,then you are to helpוְהֶֽחֱזַ֣קְתָּve.he.che.Zak.taH2388himas you would a foreignerגֵּ֧רgerH1616or strangerוְתוֹשָׁ֛בve.to.ShavH8453,so that he can continue to liveוָחַ֖יva.ChaiH2421among youעִמָּֽךְ׃'i.MakhH5973.

36Do notאַל־'al-H408takeתִּקַּ֤חti.KachH3947any interestנֶ֣שֶׁךְNe.shekhH5392or profitוְתַרְבִּ֔יתve.tar.BitH8636from himמֵֽאִתּוֹ֙me.'i.ToH854,but fearוְיָרֵ֖אתָve.ya.Re.taH3372your Godמֵֽאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָme.'e.lo.Hei.khaH430,that your countrymanאָחִ֖יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251may liveוְחֵ֥יve.CheiH2421among youעִמָּֽךְ׃'i.MakhH5973.

37You must notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808lendתִתֵּ֥ןti.TenH5414himאֶ֨ת־'Et-H853your silverכַּסְפְּךָ֔kas.pe.KhaH3701at interestבְּנֶ֑שֶׁךְbe.Ne.shekhH5392orלֹא־lo'-H3808sell himתִתֵּ֥ןti.TenH5414your foodאָכְלֶֽךָ׃'a.khe.Le.khaH400for profitוּבְמַרְבִּ֖יתu.ve.mar.BitH4768.

38Iאֲנִ֗י'a.NiH589am the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם'e.Lo.hei.KhemH430,whoאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834brought youהוֹצֵ֥אתִיho.Tze.tiH3318אֶתְכֶ֖ם'et.KhemH853out of the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714to giveלָתֵ֤תla.TetH5414youאֶת־'et-H853the landאֶ֣רֶץ'E.retzH776of Canaanכְּנַ֔עַןke.Na.'anH3667and to beלִהְי֥וֹתlih.YotH1961yourGodלֵאלֹהִֽים׃ סle.lo.HimH430.

39Ifוְכִֽי־ve.khi-H3588a countrymanאָחִ֛יךָ'a.Chi.khaH251among youעִמָּ֖ךְ'i.MakhH5973becomes destituteיָמ֥וּךְya.MukhH4134and sells himselfוְנִמְכַּר־ve.nim.kar-H4376to you,then you must notלֹא־lo'-H3808force himתַעֲבֹ֥דta.'a.VodH5647intoslaveעָֽבֶד׃'A.vedH5650laborעֲבֹ֥דַת'a.Vo.datH5656.

40Let him stayיִהְיֶ֣הyih.YehH1961with youעִמָּ֑ךְ'i.MakhH5973as a hired workerכְּשָׂכִ֥ירke.sa.KhirH7916or temporary residentכְּתוֹשָׁ֖בke.to.ShavH8453;he is to workיַעֲבֹ֥דya.'a.VodH5647forעִמָּֽךְ׃'i.MakhH5973you untilעַד־'ad-H5704the Yearשְׁנַ֥תshe.NatH8141of Jubileeהַיֹּבֵ֖לhai.yo.VelH3104.

41Then heה֖וּאhu'H1931and his childrenמֵֽעִמָּ֔ךְ וּבָנָ֣יוme.'i.Makh u.va.NavH1121 H5973are to be releasedוְיָצָא֙ve.ya.Tza'H3318עִמּ֑וֹi.MoH5973,and he may returnוְשָׁב֙ve.ShavH7725toאֶל־'el-H413his clanמִשְׁפַּחְתּ֔וֹmish.pach.ToH4940and toוְאֶל־ יָשֽׁוּב׃ve.'el- ya.ShuvH413 H7725the propertyאֲחֻזַּ֥ת'a.chu.ZatH272of his fathersאֲבֹתָ֖יו'a.vo.TavH1.
