9The headוְרֹ֤אשׁve.RoshH7218of Ephraimאֶפְרַ֙יִם֙'ef.Ra.yimH669is Samariaשֹׁמְר֔וֹןsho.me.RonH8111,and the headוְרֹ֥אשׁve.RoshH7218of Samariaשֹׁמְר֖וֹןsho.me.RonH8111is the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Remaliahרְמַלְיָ֑הוּre.mal.Ya.huH7425.Ifאִ֚ם'imH518you do notלֹ֣אlo'H3808stand firm in your faithתַאֲמִ֔ינוּta.'a.Mi.nuH539,thenכִּ֖יkiH3588you will notלֹ֥אlo'H3808stand at allתֵאָמֵֽנוּ׃ סte.'a.Me.nuH539.’”

10Againוַיּ֣וֹסֶףvai.Yo.sefH3254the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068spokeדַּבֵּ֥רda.BerH1696toאֶל־'el-H413Ahazאָחָ֖ז'a.ChazH271,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

11“Askשְׁאַל־she.'al-H7592fora signא֔וֹת'otH226fromמֵעִ֖םme.'ImH5973the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068your Godאֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430, whetherfrom the depthsהַעְמֵ֣קha'.MekH6009of Sheolשְׁאָ֔לָהshe.'A.lahH7585orא֖וֹ'oH176the heightsהַגְבֵּ֥הַּhag.Be.ahH1361of heavenלְמָֽעְלָה׃le.Ma.'e.lahH4605.”

12But Ahazאָחָ֑ז'a.ChazH271repliedוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “I will notלֹא־lo'-H3808askאֶשְׁאַ֥ל'esh.'AlH7592;I will notוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808testאֲנַסֶּ֖ה'a.na.SehH5254אֶת־'et-H853the LORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.”

13Then Isaiah saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Hearשִׁמְעוּ־shim.'u-H8085nowנָ֖אna'H4994,O houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732!Is it not enoughהַמְעַ֤טham.'AtH4592to try the patienceהַלְא֣וֹתhal.'otH3811of menאֲנָשִׁ֔ים כִּ֥י'a.na.Shim kiH582 H3588אֶת־'et-H853?Will you try the patienceתַלְא֖וּtal.'UH3811of my Godאֱלֹהָֽי׃'e.lo.HaiH430as wellגַּ֥םgamH1571?

14Thereforeלָ֠כֵןLa.khenH3651the Lordאֲדֹנָ֥י'a.do.NaiH136Himselfה֛וּאhu'H1931will giveיִתֵּ֨ןyi.TenH5414youa signא֑וֹת'otH226:Beholdהִנֵּ֣הhi.NehH2009,the virginהָעַלְמָ֗הha.'al.MahH5959will be with childהָרָה֙ha.RahH2030and give birthוְיֹלֶ֣דֶתve.yo.Le.detH3205to a sonבֵּ֔ןBenH1121,and will callוְקָרָ֥אתve.ka.RatH7121Himשְׁמ֖וֹshe.MoH8034ImmanuelH6005.

15By the time He knowsלְדַעְתּ֛וֹle.da'.ToH3045enoughto rejectמָא֥וֹסma.'osH3988evilבָּרָ֖עba.Ra'H7451and chooseוּבָח֥וֹרu.va.ChorH977goodבַּטּֽוֹב׃ba.TovH2896,He will be eatingיֹאכֵ֑לyo.KhelH398curdsחֶמְאָ֥הchem.'AhH2529and honeyוּדְבַ֖שׁu.de.VashH1706.
